This Friday, Lykaia, the critically-lauded third album from Swedish progressive metal collective SOEN, will be reissued by Silver Lining Music. Fittingly titled Lykaia Revisited, the offering features live tracks from the band’s 2017 European tour, updated artwork by Paul Tippett, and is enriched by everything the band experienced while performing songs from the album on the road.

In advance of its release, Decibel Magazine is streaming “Lucidity (Live In Rome)”. “Led by ex-Opeth drummer Martin Lopez, SOEN‘s live sound is powerful and engaging,” writes the esteemed publication. “It’s hard to believe that ‘Lucidity’ is a live performance until the audience’s clapping at the end of the song. There are no voice cracks, awkward banter or jarring transitions as the band shifts from quiet into louder, almost psychedelic, sections. In other words, the live tracks on Lykaia Revisited aren’t throwaways at all. They’re a worthwhile window into the world of a very talented, experienced band.”
