THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF To Release Stunning New Album “Berit – Vol. 1” On November 22nd, Teaser Available

Internationally acclaimed 7 string guitar virtuoso/singer/songwriter THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF (Berit) has released the teaser video for her new album: “Berit – Vol. 1.” The album will be released on November 22nd 2018.

The album features 11 hauntingly beautiful and catchy songs, with Berit playing both lead guitar, acoustic guitar and piano, while delivering a truly stunning vocal performance. All vocals were, as usual, recorded with no auto tune or other studio tricks. This is Berit performing. Nothing else.

It is the first of four albums with new, original music. This time she is showing off a very different and much more personal side of herself, adding yet another genre to her list. She is also adding another instrument on this album; piano, although she insists that she is not a pianist at all. Her 2014 classical crossover album charted at #1 on Amazon.com and two of the videos from the album were featured on the “top 10 viral videos of the year” in the biggest guitar magazine in the world; Guitar World, in 2013 and 2014. Her Paganini guitar duel with world leading classical guitarist Craig Ogden was also on the “top 10 metal meets classical” list in The Guardian.

Before she crossed over to classical music in 2013, she had smashed her way through the heavy metal scene and was featured as “1 of 10 modern guitar gods” by the leading magazine of the genre, Metal Hammer UK, Revolver Magazine called her “ he hottest chick in hard rock” and Total Guitar called her “The new queen of shred.” She has been a guest on numerous talk shows, radio shows and has performed on major festivals in many countries.

Born in Norway, the family moved to Verona, Italy, when she was six years old, where her mother trained as an opera singer. When she started junior high school, they moved to France and later USA, where they lived for many years. Since 2011, she has lived in England with her family, where she is based in the Cotswolds.
