Rockin’1000 in Paris is an extraordinary show carried out by over 1,000 amateur musicians: guitarists, bassists, singers, drummers, and keyboard players, who played the biggest Rock classics on the field at Stade de France. This is the opportunity to meet the participants of the first edition again, but above all to offer the possibility of taking part in this adventure to new musicians.
For this second edition, Philippe Manœuvre, an absolute reference in Rock n’ Roll and godfather of the 2019 edition, is reporting for duty as musical programmer, master of ceremonies, and ambassador of this exceptional concert.

Philippe Manœuvre
After following the biggest musicians and groups (Lou Reed, The Rolling Stones, Johnny, Gainsbourg …) and working, among others, for Rock & Folk, Métal Hurlant, France Inter, RTL, OÜI FM, and the program “Les Enfants du Rock,” today Philippe Manœuvre is considered a rock icon in France. Notably, he published his own ideal music collection, just like the biographies of people like Michael Jackson, James Brown, and Michel Polnareff. He also co-adapted “Le Monde de demain” with Joey Starr in 2017. In 2018, “Rock, ma vie est un roman” sold more than 70,000 copies, and in November of 2019, the audiobook was published by Harper Collins.
The story of Rockin’1000
In 2015, Fabio Zaffagnini and some friends made a crazy bet. Asking 1,000 musicians to play “Learn to Fly” by the Foo Fighters to convince the group to perform in their city, Cesena. The result? The video went viral (today it has over 51 million views) and the Foo Fighters added a date to their tour. A concept was born! Rockin’1000 has grown in Italy since 2016 based off of this success. The first concert was organized at the Stadio di Cesena in front of 13,000 spectators. The second was in 2018 at Florence Stadium, which brought together almost 30,000 rock fans with Courtney Love as a special guest. In 2019, the Stade de France received almost 55,000 people to take part in this unique concert. Rockin’1000 is an original idea by Fabio Zaffagnini, created with Claudia Spadoni, Martina Pieri, Mariagrazia Canu, Francesco “Cisko” Ridolfi, and Anita Rivaroli.
