On January 31st 2020, LYKANTROPI will release their acclaimed debut album as a new exclusive deluxe edition with new bonus material, ‘Summernights‘, that has never been released before, physically or digitally. In 2017, Lykantropi released their self-titled debut and introduced the world into their mysterious and enchanting nature and beautiful tales were brought to life through a symbiosis of darkness, harmonious vocals and a groovy sound inspired by the early 70’s. Since the release, the album has been critically acclaimed all over the world.

Like the original songs from the album, the new addition ‘Summernights‘ maintain the band’s well-known vintage sound. With seductive harmonies against groovy guitar riffs and mesmerizing flute melodies, ‘Summernights‘ invites you to a late summer night, a dream like night when the air is whirling with the ember of desire.

“‘Summernight’ goes hand in hand with the rest of the songs on the album and we found the inspiration in the intoxicating feeling of new love rooting itself for the first time. The song was actually born when we recorded our debut album, but for several reasons it didn’t make the album. So when Despotz Records gave us the opportunity to re-release it, it felt obvious to include it and let it become a part of the album.” // Lykantropi

Lykantropi was created in 2013 by the singer and guitarist Martin Östlund. In 2017, the band invited their listeners to their own mysterious but yet beautiful scenery when they released their self-titled debut album (Lykantropi), which contains their first hit single ‘Black Old Stone’. The debut album was met with great excitement and has been critically acclaimed from all over the world. The debut album was recorded live in the studio and mastered by Martin Konie Ehrencrona (The Oath, In Solitude,  Dundertåget).

In May 2019, the band released the follow-up album ‘Spiritousa‘ that kept the spirit of their previous album and they got praised from all over the world again, there among Sweden Rock Magazine and Aftonbladet (the biggest daily newspaper in Sweden) to name a few. The album contains the mighty singles  ‘Wild Flowers‘ and ‘Vestigia‘. In March 27th of 2020, ‘Spirituosa‘ will be re-released as a deluxe edition.
