Chile’s Death Metal trio HALLUX VALGUS have released “Reflections Of Distant Dreams,” their first full-length, through Ex Nihilo Music and Burning Coffin Records. Ten tracks of unorthodox yet classic Death Metal is what you will find in “Reflections Of Distant Dreams,” the latest offering just unleashed by Chile’s Hallux Valgus. This new release is now available on CD by Ex Nihilo Music and tape by Burning Coffin Records.
The music was recorded between November and December 2019 at Sound Pro studios, while vocals were recorded during 2020. The mixing and mastering were carried out at Anti Play Rec. studios.
The conceptual plan is faithfully reflected in the cover art and the disc’s interior, which two Chilean artists share: José Triviño (exterior art) and Daniel Hermosilla (interior art).
Lyrics are inspired by a kind of surrealist and, at the same time, indigenous terror, typical of the rural and insular areas of southern Chile.
The current composition of the band -the same lineup that recorded the album -consists of Old Ripper on drums, Specter on vocals and Horrorhammer on guitars, bass and backing vocals.

The CD edition is limited to 500 copies, while the first run of 100 copies of the tape edition was released in late April this year and sold out in a few days. A second press of 100 additional copies is already available through Burning Coffin Records.
