Following up his successful cover of Katie Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” (A Deal With God) Italian trap-metal artist BECKO jumps feet first fusing a new breakbeat rock single “Home.” This newest track is the first single from the upcoming ’90s-inspired concept album ‘Present Day//Present Time’.
“Home” is chaos refined fusing determination with introspection through thoughtful lyrics, and a strong and at times brutal vocal performance from Becko. Turbulent rhythms laced with synthesizers over steady guitars only solidify the track’s tempestuous nature. “Home” is about Dissociative Identity Disorder, and is about one specific personality among a trio trying to take over and work as a team without erasing their distinctive counterparts. The entire concept of the song and the album harkens back to late 90’s music and gaming when the internet was first getting traction, and anime like Iain, Evangelion and Trigun was very darkish and deep.
“This song is the first song released of my new concept album called ‘Present Day // Present Time.’ It’s a breakbeat rock song with EDM influences,” states Becko. “The song talks about Dissociative Identity Disorder, where the main character is trying to take the other two personalities in power to be the leader of the mind without erasing the other two parts but taking them alongside and becoming stronger. (It’s a biblical concept).“
“Home” is out now from independent multi-genre label FiXT.
