SHYLOCK Announce Digital Reissue of Entire Album-Back Catalogue

Since more than two decades, SHYLOCK have been an integral part of the hard rock scene. The two band masterminds, Matthias Schenk (lead vocals, songwriter) and Johannes Amrhein (lead and rhythm guitar) have been working together since the 2000s and have always been the driving forces with different line-ups in the name of rock. Right from their beginning, they delivered a various range of musical facettes, from catchy and contemporary hard rock, to sometimes snotty, sometimes heavy, sometimes melodic and of course also balladesque rock.

The history of the band, who parted ways in 2017, is as complex as life itself yet consists of many highlights: From the highly traded newcomer tip to sharing the big stages with acts such as Bonfire, Gotthard, Adler’s Appetite, Roger Chapman, Shakra, Right Said Fred, U.D.O., Primal Fear, to name just a few. In 2023, Schenk and Amrhein signed a deal with renowned label Massacre Records, who proudly reissues the band’s entire album back catalogue (Shylock, Pyronized, Welcome To Illusion, Devotion, RockBuster [Extended Version, incl. bonus tracks of the Japanese album edition] and Walking Tall), as well as their charity song “Rainbow” for the benefit of “Parents’ initiative for children with leukemia and tumors in Würzburg e.V.”, which was released as a Maxi CD in 2014!

Matthias Schenk and Johannes Amrhein currently leave SHYLOCK‘s future open. Both are happy that the “old songs” are available for public again. They are also fundamentally optimistic and can well imagine working creatively together again.
