DEMONICAL & LUCIFER’S CHILD Kick Off Latin America Tour This Weekend

Swedish death metal band DEMONICAL will headline a Latin American tour in September, with labelmates LUCIFER’S CHILD (Greek Black Metal) playing as direct support. The bill further includes Holocausto Canibal and Nervo Chaos.

Martin Schulman of DEMONICAL commented: “We are thrilled to announce our first full headlining tour through the southern part of the Western Hemisphere. Right before the past plague, we did a tour across Brazil which gave us a taste for more…. and now it’s time, big time! 10 shows in 10 different countries with our comrades in Lucifer’s Child and Nervochaos. This is going to be a wild ride, come join!”

George Emmanuel of LUCIFER’S CHILD added: “In the hush of twilight, when shadows lengthen and our black hearts ablaze, beware, for the tempest of Victorious Latin America Tour… We are proud to announce our first live summonings in Latin America. 10 shows in 10 different countries, where we shall present Lucifer’s Child material from all of our blasphemed seeds. Alongside us, we will have the honour to be joined by the Swedish deathmaster’s, Demonical, the Brazilian daemons, Nervochaos and the Portuguese grinder’s, Holocausto Canibal.”

DEMONICAL, fresh off a summer festival tour, was spawned in 2006 by then-former Centinex members, Martin Schulman (bass), Ronnie Bergerståhl (drums) and Johan Jansson (ex-guitars & ex-vocals), with a mission to return to the roots of death metal. The now-fivepiece has made good on that goal, traversing through a HM2-beaten path of melodic, Swedish death metal, replete with darkness and brutality. Their last release, 2023’s “Into Victory”, crowns a discography of seven studio albums and three EPs.

LUCIFER’S CHILD, fresh off a Northern European tour through Scandinavia and Baltic States, was formed in 2013 in Athens by guitarist George Emmanuel (ex-Rotting Christ, ex-Chaostar, Necromantia) and bassist Stathis Ridis (ex-Nightfall). The duo quickly expanded into a quartet, with vocalist Marios Dupont (Karma Violens) and drummer Nick Vell (Chaostar), and released the debut album “The Wiccan” in 2015. Encouraged by the album’s reception, and with a string of festival dates under the belt (such as Inferno, Blastfest and Incineration), they returned with a follow-up record “The Order”. The album successively emphasized the band’s classic approach, which is heavy on atmosphere and dark aesthetics. A six-track split with Mystifier “Under Statn’s Wrath” from 2022 closes the band’s discography.
