WHERE OCEANS BURN are a 4 piece Metalcore act from Manchester, UK, drawing inspiration from artists such as Northlane, Architects and Thornhill. Following the release of their single ‘Euphoria’ in 2023, the quartet now present the brand new track ‘Static’ which features a guest performance by Aaron Matts of ten56. The new single is taken from the upcoming EP ‘The Faces We Portray’ set to be released on February 9th, 2024. Watch the accompanying visualizer above.
“‘Static’ is about going through a dark period in life, abusing substances and the inner dialogue in ones head that follows. Chasing a false feeling of happiness to escape issues you aren’t ready to face”, the band muses.
Their debut single ‘Hollow Heart’ gained huge success, surpassing 800,000 streams across platforms. Their following releases `Shadow // Self’, ‘The Only Home We Know’ and ‘Phoenix’ all followed suit with features on official spotify editorial playlists such as ‘New Metal Tracks’, ‘Metal UK’ and ‘New Blood’, as well as videos surpassing 250,000 views. The quartet embarked on their first UK tour in September 2021 and have played alongside a variety of heavily respected bands including sold out shows supporting Decapitated and After The Burial, as well as playing UK Tech-Fest and Radar Festival in 2023 with bands such as Sleep Token and Periphery.
After signing with management Prime Collective (Ten56., CABAL, Distant), the quartet is getting ready to present their brand new EP ‘The Faces We Portray’, set to release on February 9th .
