DMC from Run/DMC, Dan Lorenzo from HADES/PATRIARCHS IN BLACK, Jon “JROD” Cioricari got together on a song produced by JROD and rapper/producer Bumpy Knuckles to create a terRIFFic song. The track is called Game Changer. The single is out on all digital platforms.
“Bump, Dan and JROD created a track that is like an adventure. It’s an experience of Rock Riffs and Rhymes” DMC said. He continued
“I wanted to make a statement that Rock isn’t dead…people that don’t know a damn thing about Rock are the ones who are dead! Fun good music is alive! I work with some of the best musicians and artists in Rock and Metal so it’s my responsibility as The King Of Rock to speak up and do cool musical and artistic things.”
The performance video posted today includes DMC, Dan Lorenzo, JROD, former Hades bassist Jimmy Schulman and on drums JoeCalfa.
The footage was filmed at JROD Productions in Pomona, NY last Saturday July 13th by Mitch Saul. Craig CeFola edited teRIFFic Game Changer.
Songwriter/guitarist Dan Lorenzo said, “When DMC sent me the drumbeat a few months ago I wrote the opening guitar part less than thirty seconds after I heard the beat. Between the new Patriarchs In Black album (Visioning released July 19th on Germany’s MetalVille Records) and writing with DMC I’ve having the time of my life at an age I’d never imagined I’d still be playing. I’ve already written more songs for the next Patriarchs In Black in addition there will be more to come with Darryl and teRIFFic”.
