Today, on the 24th of October KNOGJÄRN release their version of the reknown and loved Kent song Kärleken Väntar (Love is waiting). A song and a cover where tendernes meets heavy.

The seasonal melancholy that blankets the Nordics in soft and dark tranquility, when the sun start to hide somewhere behind the mountains, was as real back in 2002 when Kärleken Väntar rolled over Scandinavia for the first time, as it is today.

And though the original was released in July – a time when the Scandinavian day and night slip into each other in soft summer sun, Kärleken Väntar has allways had a touch of autumn to it.

Making October the perfect time for the release of Knogjärn’s heavier, and darker sounding cover.

A explosive and emotive soundtrack for colder and longer nights.

There’s something deliciously liberating in the space where melancholy and aggression cross, which is presicly what you get here. Something raw, painful and real.

It worked back then, it works now. In a new outfit, with new vocals, sharper drums and heavier guitars.

“Why a Kent cover? Well because we wanted to, and we could. Also it’s a damn cool song.
We were asked to make a cover for a project, and chose Kärleken Väntar. When we were done, we thought “Shit! This is getting really heavy! We have to release this everywhere!”
