What could be more fitting than a moody cover song about manically driving the whole night for an 80s/90s goth-infused rock band with a passion for vintage cars?
CEMETERY SKYLINE (feat. members of Insomnium, Amorphis, Sentenced, Dark Tranquillity…) swapped the car with a hearse and were ready to ride into darkness. The single drops right before the Finnish Emma and their short tour through Finland, which is sold out in several cities.
Guitarist Markus Vanhala (Insomnium, Omnium Gatherum) shares, “With Cemetery Skyline, we’re stepping into previously untrodden musical directions – those darker alleys that we hold dear in our hearts but haven’t really wandered before. And we’re collectively very excited!”
Keyboardist Santeri Kallio (Amorphis) adds, “We all share a deep love for goth rock from the 80s and 90s. If you have to describe Cemetery Skyline’s diverse music, call us ambassadors of melodic, melancholic, and dark rock.”
Singer Mikael Stanne (Dark Tranquillity, The Halo Effect) dives into the paradoxical world of “northern solitude” with lyrics rooted in the Scandinavian gothic lifestyle.
“Nordic Gothic” is available as: Ltd. CD Digipak, 180g LP, and Digital album.
