March 21, 2024, marks the release of “Ascoltare”, the new classical guitar single by guitarist and composer Alessandro De Fusco. The track stems from the need to rediscover the true value of listening in an era dominated by noise and distractions.
“Ascoltare” is an invitation to pause, perceive every sound with greater awareness, and re-establish a genuine connection with the external world and oneself. Through the delicate notes of the classical guitar, De Fusco takes the listener on a sonic journey that echoes the silent heartbeat of nature, the ideal setting for a deep and intimate dialogue.
The track was recorded with the contribution of Francesco Coia. The official video was edited by Alessandro De Fusco himself, and the piece was played on a classical guitar handcrafted by Enzo Pascariello – Maple Handmade Guitars.

Alessandro De Fusco is a guitarist and composer from Campania, currently a teacher at the Lizard Accademie Musicali in Rome. After training in classical guitar at the Nicola Sala Conservatory in Benevento, he expanded his musical exploration by studying electric guitar at the Lizard Academy in Rome.
Known in the progressive metal world as Alexander Layer, he has released several albums, including “Fenrir” (2018), “Huginn Muninn” (2019), and “Sounds From The Labs” (2021), collaborating with internationally renowned artists such as Marco Sfogli and David Folchitto. In 2023, he decided to separate his solo career from his progressive metal project, launching his first classical music album, “Nel Silenzio”, which allowed him to bring his music to live audiences across Italy.
After a period of artistic reflection and renewal, Alessandro De Fusco returns with “Ascoltare”, a track that marks an intimate and refined turning point in his musical journey. The single will be available on all major digital platforms starting March 21, 2024.
