German black metal force MAAHES return with their second full-length opus “Nechacha” – a record which is heavier, darker, and more orchestral than anything they have released before. The album is available as Mediabook, limited vinyl LP, and digital formats. Order/listen to it now: https://save-it.cc/massacre/nechacha
To celebrate the release MAAHES unleash their new single “Magic Slave”, accompanied by a striking music video that captures the song’s dark intensity.
Lyrically, “Magic Slave” dives deep into the realm of dark magic. The narrator seizes complete control over the bodies and minds of their victims, turning them into mere puppets under their command. It’s a chilling and powerful portrayal of domination and sorcery that fits seamlessly into the band’s occult aesthetic.
Musically, the track blends the band’s signature black metal sound with thrash influences, delivering crushing, heavy riffs. The addition of orchestral layers and haunting piano passages amplifies the epic and ominous atmosphere, reaching its peak in the commanding chorus.
With “Magic Slave”, MAAHES reaffirm their identity: dark, monumental, and steeped in mysticism.
Named after the flagellum, the ancient Egyptian symbol of dominion held by pharaohs and gods, “Nechacha” marks a new era for MAAHES: epic arrangements, monumental orchestration, and a deeper descent into the blackened void — without abandoning the raw ferocity of their earlier works.
While their 2020 debut “Reincarnation” was firmly rooted in traditional black metal, “Nechacha” expands the band’s vision with cinematic scope, reminiscent of early Dimmu Borgir, yet unmistakably forged in the unique atmosphere of MAAHES.
“Nechacha” delves into ancient Egyptian ritual, occultism, divine madness, and the legacy of fallen empires. The eleven tracks move between themes of rebirth and destruction, hubris and devotion, domination and transcendence, shaping a sonic temple where myth and metal collide.

Formed in 2015 in Grafenau (Bavarian Forest, Germany), MAAHES first explored Greek mythology on their debut EP “Ancient Force” (2016), before fully embracing an Egyptian concept in music, lyrics, and aesthetics. Festival appearances followed at Wolfszeit and Ragnarök (2018).
In 2020, the band signed with MDD Records and released their debut full-length “Reincarnation”, followed by extensive touring across clubs, festivals, and Eastern Europe. Performances included Dark Easter Metal Meeting, Barther Metal Open Air, and tours with Eisregen.
With “Nechacha”, set for release in September 2025, MAAHES stand ready to ascend to the next level—armed with an album that is at once uncompromisingly black, deeply atmospheric, and conceptually unyielding.
