Acidground are back with an unmissable release: “Dirty Songs”, an album that brings together all the tracks from their two EPs “2 Hands” and “Evil Blues”, now remastered and ready to drag the listener into a dark, raw, and powerful journey through fragility, pain, and rebellion.
A union of contrasting souls:
On one side, the melancholy and introspection of 2 Hands, where the band explores depression, addictions, distant loves, and the misunderstandings that break relationships apart.
On the other, the hypnotic force of Evil Blues, the manifesto of the project, with songs ranging from the dirtiest grunge to distorted blues, up to the surprising reinterpretation of Cry Little Sister (soundtrack of the cult movie The Lost Boys).
VINS – The dark soul of Acidground
Behind the voice and lyrics of Acidground lies Vins, stage name Bound, the founder and beating heart of the project. His story is an intense and multifaceted journey:
- He took his first steps at 18 with punk and rock cover bands.
- He experimented with different genres, from pop to reggae to extreme metal, building a unique and versatile vocal background.
- At the same time, he began writing lyrics and vocals for other musicians, falling deeper in love with grunge and stoner rock, which would become his signature style.
In 2013, he met Fabrizio “Drago Balcano” Sodaro, with whom he created the first prototype of the Acidground style under the name “Fabrizio Sodaro RISE THE SUN”.
Since then, Vins has carried the vision of the project forward, composing all the tracks that defined the band’s identity: a powerful and personal blend of grunge and stoner rock.
Alongside Fabrizio, he also launched HybridCode, a project dedicated to Cyber Rock/Metal sounds.
DIRTY SONGS is not just an album: it is the sonic portrait of a tormented and rebellious soul, the raw and authentic diary of Acidground, ready to strike anyone who lets themselves be swept away by their sound.
