ONE OF NINE’s New Epic Album “Dawn of the Iron Shadow” Out Today

From the shadowed vales of Brethil, ONE OF NINE is now honored to share their new epic, ‘Dawn of the Iron Shadow,’ in its entirety, released today! The full offering of Pure Tolkienen Sorrow can now be heard at THIS LOCATION.

And the Iron Shadow now falls across the face of Beleriand, for Anar is bound in chains of gloom.

All that was high and fair has fallen to ruin; so was it long foretold in the Doom of Arda Marred. If any mending shall yet be wrought, and the Marring undone, it lies only in the secret counsels of Manwë and Varda. But no whisper comes from the Holy Mountain, and the voice of Mandos in veiled silence remains.

Thus do we march beneath His darkened visage, not in memory of what was, nor in hope of what may be, but in the certainty of dominion.

The West has fallen. Their thrones lie vacant, their promises naught but dust upon the wind. Let the peoples of Arda behold their end for we are the bearers of the last will of Melkor, and in our coming all life shall be unmade and all light shall be unshone.

‘Dawn of the Iron Shadow’ is released today, on October 31 through Profound Lore Records and can be ordered HERE.

The cover artwork (below) was carefully wrought by the hand of Ted Nasmith, a craftsman of no small renown who is the illustrator of J. R. R. Tolkien‘s works ‘The Lord of the Rings,’ ‘Unfinished Tales,’ and ‘The Silmarillion.’

Long have I listened to the songs of the Southron tongues, and low have I seen flung the banners of empires now unmoored in the tide of history.

I have traced the bloodlines of kings to the very marrow, weighed every rune that once lit the high towers.

And yet, this I cannot name.

They are the Nine. Shrouded, innominate, but ever present,

they descend across these lands like grave mist over the battle strewn dead.

Their song is the unmaking of the world. All hear the black melody dimly in the silence of Night’s shadow, as if faint voices behind the heavy door were singing to thee, beckoning to thee…

They are as crawling thunder before the Iron Shadow, Warlords and Heralds of the Hungering King.

A piercing chorus of rusted shrieking, a cloying dread of which none can find refuge, they carry not banners but the grim auspices of Doom.

Do not seek them. Do not name them. The Nine have risen. Their song is heard through the door.
