On January 16th, 2026, Satan Takes A Holiday release Covering Our Tracks: Part 1 via Icons Creating Evil Art — the first installment of a broader album project that began with a series of singles released in 2025 and will continue unfolding through summer 2026.
As the title suggests, Covering Our Tracks: Part 1 collects reinterpretations of classic songs from different eras and genres, all filtered through the band’s raw energy, garage-rock grit, and punk swagger. The EP showcases the band’s evolving creative process while honoring the music that helped shape their sound.

Focus Track: Today Your Love, Tomorrow the World feat. Rockenrollex
The EP opens with Today Your Love, Tomorrow the World, a high-voltage cover of the Ramones classic, reimagined as a punk duet with longtime friend Rockenrollex. A staple of the band’s live show for years, this studio recording injects fresh aggression and melodic bite into one of punk’s most irreverent anthems.
– “Ramones’ bold and tongue-in-cheek portrayal of a young German boy longing for love, approval, and belonging remains both courageous and disarmingly timely today. We’ve had this song in our setlists for a couple of years now, but for the studio recording we wanted to give it something special — so we brought in our friend, the Sekt’s own Rockenrollex, to turn it into a punk rock duet.”
Collected alongside the opening track are the three singles released across 2025 — each a reinterpretation of a well-known or cult favorite, now given the band’s visceral garage-punk touch:
Gettin’ Away With Murder feat. Nicke Andersson — a cover of the Australian glam-rock track by Baby Grande. In this version, Nicke Andersson (noted for his work with The Hellacopters, Imperial State Electric, Entombed and more) delivers a fiery guest guitar solo that elevates the song into high-octane rock territory.
You’re the One That I Want — taken from the iconic Grease soundtrack (originally performed by John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John), the band recasts the 1970s pop favorite as a gritty, guitar-driven doomy rock stomper — equal parts swagger and subversion.
I Can’t Stop Thinking About It X Shady Lady & the Malefactor feat. Danne McKenzie — this hybrid cover brings together elements of The Dirtbombs’ garage-rock classic with additional flavors from collaborators Shady Lady & the Malefactor. With Danne McKenzie stepping up as lead vocalist, the song becomes a sweeping, hypnotic journey through fuzz, groove, and sing-along hooks.
The EP closes with Rumble! 2026, a modernized take on Link Wray’s instrumental groundbreaking classic — a piece of rock history reinterpreted with taut muscle and contemporary edge.
An Album Built in Chapters
Covering Our Tracks: Part 1 is more than a collection of covers — it’s an intentional snapshot of an album unfolding in real time. By revisiting foundational songs from across decades and reshaping them with sweat, stance, and spirit, Satan Takes A Holiday embrace the lineage of rock music while charting their own creative path heading into 2026.
Satan Takes A Holiday are one of Sweden’s most dynamic rock acts, blending classic rock’n’roll, garage rock, punk attitude and modern edge into a sound that’s at once familiar and fiercely their own. With multiple albums and extensive touring across Europe, the band has earned a reputation for energetic live shows and fearless reinterpretations. With years of touring experience across Europe, they’ve shared stages with acts such as KISS, The Sonics, Mustasch, Juliette Lewis, Backyard Babies, and Imperial State Electric, earning a reputation as a must-see live act that grips audiences with raw energy and infectious groove.
The band’s singles have attracted attention across major platforms and media — including support from BBC 6 Music (featuring Iggy Pop) as well as regular rotation on Sweden’s P3 and Bandit Rock, and critical praise from Classic Rock, Louder Sound, and Rock Hard.
Rather than treating rock history as untouchable, the band approaches it as raw material — something to honor, test, and make personal. Covering Our Tracks: Part 1 continues this tradition, weaving collaboration and reinvention into a multi-chapter album project that unfolds throughout 2026.
