Norway’s Jordsjuk release their last single from ‘Naglet til livet’. The same weekend as their debut album potentially might snatch the Spellemannprisen, aka “The Norwegian Grammy”, in the category of Metal & Hardrock.
‘Klangbunn fra helvete’ was originally released as an exclusive bonus track on the vinyl and CD issues of ‘Naglet til livet’, September 2025. Now, the cut will finally also be available digitally.

Musically, the song is firmly rooted in the band’s riff-driven, blackened and concise sound: catchy, dissonant and strict, but here with an even higher dose of fierce and ripping thrash metal.
Thematically, the track is a direct and uncomfortable examination of power, manipulation, and the systematic exploitation of human weakness.
– «Klangbunn fra helvete is about people who exploit the weaknesses of others. It’s about how language, authority and systems can be used to degrade others, until all that is left is self-loathing», songwriter and lyricist Renton comments. This is Jordsjuk at their most claustrophobic.
The release date of March 20, six months after the album release, will also be marked with a headliner gig at Blå in Oslo, where ‘Klangbunn fra helvete’ will be performed live for the first time.
Comprised of hardened musicians, who have already made their marks on the underground metal scene, Jordsjuk serves up a hellish blend of black metal, thrash, death metal, punk and rock. Organic, riff-driven and ruthlessly efficient. Their soundscape is dirty and straight-to-the-face, with lyrics that paint brutal pictures of doom, desperation and destructiveness – all performed in their native Norwegian tongue.
The band already has numerous gigs to their name, and it’s on stage their sonic violence truly comes to its right. After a sold-out release concert at Oslo’s Vaterland, a packed venue at the Midgardsblot festival, and a relentless performance at the by:Larm festival, Jordsjuk now takes ‘Naglet til livet’ to the rest of Norway, with an extensive Norwegian tour in 2026. Cities like Tromsø, Bergen and Lillehammer have already been conquered, and many more are in line. The band is also confirmed for Norway’s largest festival; Tons of Rock, as well as appearances in Czechia and Sweden. For those who have seen them before, expectations are high. For everyone else: prepare to be run over!
