Originally released in 1989, “Gloom” stands as one of the most distinctive and influential records to emerge from the early death/grind underground. Blending elements of death metal, grindcore, thrash and hardcore punk, the album delivers a raw, high-velocity attack that helped carve out MACABRE’s unmistakable identity.
Compact, ferocious and relentlessly intense, “Gloom” thrives on sharp, aggressive riffing, breakneck tempos and raw, punk-driven vocals. Its lyrical focus on real-life crimes and serial killers infused with the band’s signature dark humor has become a defining hallmark of MACABRE’s legacy.
Mystic Production reintroduces a true underground classic to a new generation, while offering longtime fans a genre-shaping release.
