HateSphere has released a video for “Mouth Filled With Barbed Wire”, third single taken from the new album “Guillotine” to be released on October 9 by Scarlet Records.
A song about liberating oneself through denouncing all systematic, societal and religious oppression, “Mouth Filled…” strongly suggests there is something truly empowering in choosing defiance.

Hand made, old school, real, in-your-face thrash-death metal that will for sure make your head bang until the neck snaps. That’s HateSphere!
“Guillotine” is more dark and atmospherical than the acclaimed 2023 “Hatred Reborn”, but still with all the typical HateSphere trademarks: the aggression, the speed, the melody, and the groove.
The whole record revolves around what defines the moral compass and what is morally good and bad but also what lies behind intentions, motives and actions. It paints the picture of the eternal struggle between human nature and societal constructs, and therefore poses the question – who will be the first to break: man or society. And in the end what will be the consequences.

Their story is as remarkable as their impact on the metal scene is defining: Originally emerged from the early-1990s underground, pioneering Slovenian extreme-metal veterans Noctiferia have in over three decades become one of the most influential and internationally recognized bands far beyond their borders of their home country’s heavy music scene.
Going down in history as the first Slovenian band to perform at Wacken Open Air and receiving the Honorary Plaque of the City of Ljubljana for their 25th anniversary and contribution to culture, Noctiferia have continually transformed their sound, moving through black metal, death metal, industrial and groove metal while incorporating electronic, ethnic and acoustic elements. Throughout their career, they have performed extensively across Europe and China, sharing stages with internationally renowned acts and appearing at major festivals – including performances at Ljubljana’s Drama Theatre and Opera House. Their international collaborations have included renowned producers such as Peter Tägtgren, Jonas Kjellgren, Johan Örnborg, Jens Bogren and Henrik Udd among others.
2026 sees the extreme-metal institution set more milestones for the next chapter of the band’s legacy: With the introduction of Miloš Mihajlović as their new vocalist and David Bordon as their new drummer, Noctiferia have returned to performing with a new lineup that is complete with bass player Uroš Lipovec and guitarists Igor Nardin and Andrej Blatnik.
And to get their fans even more excited, the band has announced a new studio album (coming November 2026 via Nika Records) – all marking another new phase in their musical evolution. The 2026 return also serves as the beginning of the band’s approach toward their 30th anniversary celebrations in 2027.
Paving the way for Noctiferia’s highly anticipated eighth studio album is their brand-new single “Aeon Shift”. Heavy, melodic and relentlessly aggressive, the song represents the most unmistakably Noctiferia-sounding track on the new album. Combining crushing modern heaviness with powerful melodies and a hauntingly dark feel, it connects the band’s established identity with the new sonic direction explored throughout the upcoming album. It opens with a mystical, atmospheric introduction and gradually builds tension before erupting into a powerful and uncompromising attack. A thunderous finale brings the track to a dramatic conclusion, making it a fitting first glimpse into the new chapter of Noctiferia.
With their history of crossing boundaries between extreme metal, industrial, groove, electronics, ethnic music and acoustic experimentation, Noctiferia continues to develop rather than simply reproduce its earlier sound, making fans even more excited for their new material. The band teases that the upcoming album represents both a continuation of the band’s legacy and a deliberate step into new territory — sharper, heavier and more forward-looking than ever before.
About NOCTIFERIA
The pioneering Slovenian extreme-metal band NOCTIFERIA was officially formed in Ljubljana in 1997. Over three decades, the band has continually transformed its sound, moving through black metal, death metal, industrial and groove metal while incorporating electronic, ethnic and acoustic elements. Their career has established them as one of the most influential and internationally recognized bands in the Slovenian metal scene.
The band originally emerged from the early-1990s underground under the name Emetica before becoming Noctiferia. Their debut album, “Baptism at Savica Fall”, was released in 1998 and established their early black/pagan-metal identity. Subsequent releases saw the group progressively move toward a more extreme and experimental sound, including “Per Aspera” (2003), “Slovenska Morbida” (2006), “Death Culture” (2010), “PAX” (2014), the genre-defying acoustic project “Transnatura” (2016) and tribute album to legendary Laibach under the name of “Reforma” (2021) with David Vincent (ex-Morbid Angel), Attila Szihar (Mayhem) and Jorgen Munkeby (Shining) as guests.
Throughout their career, Noctiferia have performed extensively across Europe and China, sharing stages with internationally renowned acts and appearing at major festivals. They became the first Slovenian band to perform at Wacken Open Air, while their career has also included performances at Ljubljana’s Drama Theatre and Opera House. Their international collaborations have included renowned producers such as Peter Tägtgren, Jonas Kjellgren, Johan Örnborg, Jens Bogren and Henrik Udd among others. In 2026, Noctiferia enter a new chapter following a period away from the live stage. The band introduces Miloš Mihajlović as their new vocalist and David Bordon as their new drummer and returns to performing with a new lineup.
The current full lineup is:
Miloš Mihajlović – Vocals Igor Nardin – Guitar Uroš Lipovec – Bass Andrej Blatnik – Guitar David Bordon – Drums
The new lineup made its Slovenian live debut at Orto Fest in Ljubljana on 18 April 2026, performing established Noctiferia material alongside selected new compositions. Noctiferia will release a new studio album in November 2026, marking another new phase in its musical evolution. The 2026 return also serves as the beginning of the band’s approach toward its 30th anniversary celebrations in 2027.

UK atmospheric sludge metallers THRAKIAN have unleashed “In the Grips of Illusion”, the second single taken from their upcoming debut album, “The Way” (out October 16 via Aonair Records). The new track continues to showcase the quartet’s signature fusion of crushing heaviness, immersive soundscapes, and mythic introspection, offering another deep dive into the thematic world of their debut record.
Speaking on the new single, the band shares: “‘In the Grips of Illusion’ draws on the myth of Orpheus’ descent into Hell and the illusion that we can alter what has already happened or control what is yet to come. We wrote this track last, just as we were about to enter the studio, and in many ways it became a summary of the whole process of creating ‘The Way’.“
Originating from the coast of Bulgaria and now firmly rooted in Wales, THRAKIAN is a post-metal/sludge quartet fusing pummelling sonic weight with philosophical depth.
After three years of delivering ferocious, high-impact performances across the UK metal scene, the band now present their debut record, “The Way” – a work shaped by ancient philosophies, personal upheaval, and the turbulent process of rebuilding identity in a new land.
Recorded at Cardiff’s renowned Longwave and Woodcroft Audio Studios, and shaped with the expertise of engineer Timothy Vincent (Evile, Brutality Will Prevail), “The Way” is a 35-minute reflection on the human condition.
The album channels the band’s immigrant experience through pummelling riffcraft and immersive post-metal soundscapes, drawing thematic influence from Thracian mythology and timeless narratives of loss, endurance, and resilience.
Tracklist:
1. Labors of Insanity 2. Ancient Glory 3. The Way 4. In the Grips of Illusions
“The Way” will be coming out on October 16 via Aonair Records and is available for pre-order HERE

Austrian Flash Rock duo Meat Cheese have officially signed with Octopus Rising, the imprint of Argonauta Records dedicated to emerging and adventurous artists. With the new partnership comes the announcement of their upcoming second album, Solstice, and the release of its title track as the band’s first single.
“Solstice” introduces the next chapter of Meat Cheese with uplifting lyrics, twisted grooves and powerful vocals, combining the duo’s distinctive progressive approach with their instinctive sense of groove and rock’n’roll energy.
“We’re happy to release our first single ‘Solstice’. It’s the title track of the new album. Uplifting lyrics, twisted grooves and powerful vocals. Follow the band and ride with them into the sun, because solstice has begun.”
Founded in 2019 in the Tyrolean Alps by Gregor Lindner on bass and vocals and Michael Posch on drums and vocals, Meat Cheese describe their sound as Flash Rock / Progressive Stoner Rock. The duo have established themselves as an energetic live act, with their performances leaving plenty of space for improvisation and spontaneous interaction.
Their live journey has seen them share stages with internationally renowned acts including Crowbar, El Perro, Kadabra, Mother’s Cake and The Cosmic Dead, while their music has received radio airplay across Europe and appearances on Austrian television.
Following their debut album Fromage en Extase, released in 2022 via TwoEleven Records, and the 2023 single Moanin Acoustic, Meat Cheese now return with a sound that pushes their songwriting further without abandoning the groove driven spirit at the heart of the duo.
Recorded at High Mountain Records Studio and Innside Sound Studio in Austria, Solstice sees Meat Cheese exploring more complex songwriting ideas while maintaining their characteristic combination of powerful low frequencies, psychedelic elements and infectious rock’n’roll momentum.
There is no formula behind Meat Cheese. Their music is a constantly evolving collision of bass, drums, vocals, grooves and improvisation, delivered with an unmistakable sense of freedom.
A funky spark surfing through space and time from solstice to solstice.
Meat Cheese = … a tingling low frequency attack … a straw in a pond of drowning melodies … ever evolving but non artificial … Gregor Lindner on Bass & Vocals … Michael Posch on Drums & Vocals … progressive Flash Rock from Austria
Finnish melodic black metal act AUTUMNFALL are now presenting their new album “The Archaic Sins” in full through an exclusive premiere hosted by Invisible Oranges, released today September 25 via Ardua Music.
Marking the return of a project whose musical foundations reach back to the late nineties, the record brings together an evocative melodic sensibility, darker shades and a songwriting style that favours movement and atmosphere without losing its edge.
Formed in Finland in 2019 by Jussi Hänninen, best known as the primary songwriter of Fall of the Leafe between 1996 and 2007, AUTUMNFALL emerged as a continuation of the musical sensibility that characterized the earlier years of that influential band. Joined by vocalist Tero Ruohonen, Hänninen has developed the project into a vehicle for revisiting old ideas while giving them renewed shape and purpose.
Following “Ghosts of Light” (2021), “Bleak” (2022) and “The Archaic Shadows” (2024), “The Archaic Sins” once again draws heavily from the past. With just one completely new composition, the album is primarily built around songs written between 1998 and 2001, now brought into the present through fresh arrangements and performances.
The result is fluid, finely arranged melodic black metal that never needs grand gestures to make its impact. AUTUMNFALL weave melodies together continuously, allowing guitars and rhythms to move with a natural, unforced sense of progression. The music can evoke wonder one moment and bitterness the next, shifting between emotional shades without ever disrupting its graceful flow.
Carefully considered rhythmic patterns provide a solid foundation for compositions that remain loose and organic, while the constant interplay of melodies gives the album its distinctive character. There is an unmistakable sense of musicians who have spent decades understanding how songs work, knowing when to add detail and, just as importantly, when to let an idea breathe.
Whether described as melodic extreme metal, dark metal or simply AUTUMNFALL, “The Archaic Sins” offers a sound rooted in experience, melody and atmosphere: material from another era that finds an unexpectedly natural home in the present.
Tracklist:
1. Halo In Utopia 2. Lightless Depths 3. Dark Goddess 4. Mists of Eternity 5. Crystal Skies 6. Pulse 7. The Blind Brother 8. The Timeless Kin
