Scandinavian metallers EVIL MASQUERADE released their new album “The Outcast Hall Of Fame” on 19th May via Dark Minstrel Music. The album was produced by Henrik Flyman and mixed and mastered by Tommy Hansen (Helloween, Pretty Maids, Jorn).
The personnel for this album is a little different to previous ones as there are four contributing vocalists, creating a very unique style and sound. We recently caught up with mainman Henrik Flyman to find out more about the album. An excerpt from the interview can be read below and you can hear the full audio on the player:
Discussing the album Henrik stated:
“It’s been going better and better. I think the whole thing with the album and songwriting feels better than ever and it’s probably one of the easiest albums I’ve wrote somehow. There’s eight songs on this album and I wrote maybe ten or twelve and that’s quite unusual. It feels really good I must say.”
Featuring on vocals: • MATS LEVÉN (Candlemass) • RICK ALTZI (Masterplan, At Vance) • APOLLO PAPATHANASIO (Spiritual Beggars) • NICKLAS SONNE (Defecto)
On backing vocals: • YENZ LEONHARDT (Stormwarrior, Lacrimosa)
Performed by the usual suspects: • HENRIK FLYMAN – guitar & vocals • DENNIS BUHL – drums • THOR JEPPESEN – bass • ARTUR MEINILD – keyboard

RED SERPI mainman Fabian Vestod has put together a special project creating a new song, paying tribute to Lemmy Kilmister. Check out the video for ‘King Lemmy’ by WORSHIPPERS OF THE SEVEN:
Fabian states:
“The day Lemmy passed away felt like drowning in a winter sea. He was one of those few boats out there still carrying noble values on board. What a great character and model to follow, one of the best incarnations of rock and roll rebels, surely our favorite one. I wanted to pay tribute to this legend asking for the help of a few friends who might have wanted to do the same. This is when the artist collective “The Worshippers Of The Seven” was created. I have to massively thank everyone who got involved in this project. Without the help of these folks achieving this goal wouldn’t have been possible. I also tried to organize a charity event in London, but unfortunately the main person I wanted to talk to about it didn’t reply to me, which is understandable considering the small fish I am. Nevertheless, we’re very happy to deliver the original song and video anyway. Looking back to the day Lemmy left this world, sadness and tears made our hearts heavy, but the joy he gave us with his music will live on forever Long live Motorhead! Long live Lemmy! Long live the King!
Much love and respect, Worshippers of the Seven.”

Metal Shock Finland is proud to exclusively premiere the brand new epic video ‘Alcoholocaust’ by the legendary SNOWY SHAW.
The video will be unleashed worldwide on Tuesday 24th May. Check it out below:
Metal Shock Finland Senior Manager Alison Booth states:
“This new song and video is a brilliant example of the unique talent Snowy Shaw displays in his work. What a great sound, can’t wait to hear what’s next!”
‘Alcoholocaust’ is written, produced, recorded, played and sung by Snowy Shaw. Mixing and mastering was done at Sound Industry, Gothenburg by Arnold Lindberg.
As a matter of fact, this also marks a new chapter as this is Snowy‘s first new original music video released as a solo artist.
Whereas over the past couple of years he has released the exclusive Live DVD/CD box “SNOWY SHAW: 25 Years of Madness in the Name of Metal” ( 2014) and a couple of albums and singles, all recorded live from his conceptual super show. A remarkably theatrical and entertaining show where the multi talented artists perform “All his favorite songs by all his former bands” including King Diamond, Dream Evil, Therion, Notre Dame, Memento Mori, Dimmu Borgir, Mercyful Fate, Illwill, Sabaton, XXX, Opera Diabolicus and more. See some links here:
The 2016 edition of his super show can next be seen live at Wacken O.A in August and Metallsvenskan June 3rd, which is also the only show on home turf Sweden, as Snowy has opted to focus primarily on working on new material being recorded and filmed, with a tentative release of a full length studio album by February next year.
Although his super shows have consisted mainly of material from his past and often featured special guest stars from the aforementioned bands, no less than 65% of of the material performed was inked by Snowy Shaw himself. But as previously stated above, ‘Alcoholocaust’ is the first new original material under his own name. – Enjoy!

MEGADETH’s former drummer Nick Menza has reportedly passed away after a heart failure while performing with his instrumental rock band OHM in Studio City, California yesterday. The first to announce Menza’s death was Justis Mustaine, son of Megadeth frontman and founding member Dave Mustaine. More details are yet to be confirmed, reports rollingstoneindia.com.
Menza was the juggernaut force behind the kit for seminal Megadeth albums between 1989 and 1998 alongside guitarist Marty Friedman and bassist David Ellefson, along with Mustaine. His best work included “Rust In Peace”, “Youthanasia” and “Countdown to Extinction”. Menza suffered heart failure while he was performing with OHM, which also features former Megadeth guitarist Chris Poland at the Baked Potato club in LA. The venue has also posted “RIP Nick Menza” on their Facebook page.
Dave Mustaine also took to social media about Menza’s death, stating via Twitter: “TELL ME THIS ISN’T TRUE! I woke at 4 AM to hear Nick Menza passed away on 5/21 playing his drums w/Ohm at the Baked Potato. #nickmenzarip”
