Joe Bonamassa continues his love affair with UK audiences when he returns to London to play the prestigious Royal Albert Hall on Thursday 20th April and Friday 21st April, 2017.
The Royal Albert Hall concerts follow Joe’s recent critically acclaimed ‘Salute To The British Blues Explosion’ tour that saw the American guitarist paying homage to the music of Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page.
Planet Rock will run a 72-hour Ticket Pre-sale from Tuesday 2nd August 2016 from www.planetrock.com.
This will be the third time Joe will perform at this historic landmark venue. He last played the Royal Albert Hall on March 30, 2013, on his Tour de Force tour of London. And before that, fans will remember the first time when he played the venue on May 4th, 2009, when Eric Clapton joined him on stage. The latter concert was eventually released on CD, DVD and Blu-ray. Entitled Joe Bonamassa – Live From The Royal Albert Hall, the live album has gone on to be one of Joe’s best-selling live releases.
The Royal Albert Hall concerts will feature Joe alongside a hand-picked group of world-class musicians playing material from his latest album “Blues of Desperation” plus classic Bonamassa fan favourites.

One of the writers of a British rock classic has called in his lawyers after Donald Trump used the song to end his presidential nomination speech to the Republican Party’s convention, according to news.sky.com.
As the billionaire businessman wound up his address by saying: “We will make America great again. God bless you and good night, I love you“, the guitar riff from ‘All Right Now’ fired up and red, white and blue balloons were released into the arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
Paul Rodgers co-wrote the song with another member of FREE, Andy Fraser, in 1970.
It was also used to introduce Mr Trump’s running mate, Indiana Governor Mike Pence.
In a tweet on Monday, Rodgers wrote: “Permission to use “All Right Now” was never sought for or granted by me. My lawyer is dealing with this matter. – Paul“.

Other British artists have also objected to Mr Trump using their music.
After he walked on stage earlier in the convention to the sound of QUEEN‘s 1977 track, ‘We Are The Champions’, the band tweeted: “An unauthorised use at the Republican Convention against our wishes.”

Representatives of the BEATLES guitarist George Harrison, who died in 2001, said the use of ‘Here Comes The Sun’ to introduce Mr Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, was “offensive & against the wishes” of his estate.
The unauthorized use of #HereComestheSun at the #RNCinCLE is offensive & against the wishes of the George Harrison estate.
And when two of Adele‘s hits – ‘Rolling In The Deep’ and ‘Skyfal’l – were played at Trump political rallies earlier this year, her spokesman said permission had not been granted.
American artists including Neil Young and Steven Tyler, from Aerosmith, have also objected.
Tyler‘s lawyers sent a cease and desist letter, saying that Mr Trump did “not have our client’s permission to use Dream On” or any of Tyler’s other songs “because it gives the false impression that (he) is connected with, or endorses, Mr Trump’s presidential bid“.
Complaints have not always been expressed in lawyerly language.
After Trump used REM‘s ‘It’s The End Of The World As We Know It’ at a rally, the band’s frontman Michael Stipe said: “Go f*** yourselves, the lot of you – you sad, attention-grabbing, power-hungry little men.
“Do not use our music or my voice for your moronic charade of a campaign.”

Ronnie James Dio’s solo career came about after a series of unplanned events, DIO drummer Vinny Appice has recalled, according to teamrock.com.
He believes the iconic vocalist, who died in 2010, had no clear direction for the band when he formed it in 1982 – and he’d expected to remain with Black Sabbath instead.
But arguments over the “Live Evil” album led to Dio and Appice quitting Tony Iommi’s band – and a change of direction for the singer’s solo project.
Appice tells the Silk And Steel Power Hour: “Ronnie had a solo deal while he was in Black Sabbath. His first plan was to stay with Black Sabbath and do a solo record with all his friends on it.
“He wanted me to play on it, Cozy Powell, all his friends in different bands. It would be like an all-star album.
“Then things soured up with Sabbath. Things got a little bit funky, and he decided, that’s it, he’s leaving. Then it became, he’s going to use that record deal to launch a new career.
“That’s when he asked me if I wanted to join, and I said yes.”
Dio already had rough ideas for material that would appear on the band’s first album, “Holy Diver” – but there was no musical direction in place until guitarist Vivian Campbell and bassist Jimmy Bain joined in.
Appice says: “We auditioned Vivian and Jimmy at the same time, and it just gelled. We just went, ‘Damn – this feels good. This sounds great.’”
Asked if Dio had been prepared for the solo career that was to follow, the drummer replies: “To tell you the truth, I don’t think… He might have had a vision of what he wanted.
“But It never was planned out, what the band should sound like. The band created its own sound.”
Appice,Campbell and Bain regrouped as Last In Line in 2012 and released debut album “Heavy Crown” earlier this year, following the death of Bain in January.
The year 2015 started more than promising for fans of high class melodic metal: SERIOUS BLACK, a so-called “allstar band” appeared on the scene and dropped their highly acclaimed debut album “As Daylight Breaks”. Much to the surprise of many, the band indeed proved to be a real band and they kept their promise of rocking the stages wherever possible. So during only a year they not only successfully released a fantastic debut album, but also went on extensive European tours with HammerFall and later Gamma Ray. In addition, SERIOUS BLACK was chosen to be special guest on Kamelot’s German Summer shows and also played numerous festivals in Europe. Being that active in the past 18 months, it’s surprising to see the band announcing a brand new studio album already. You’ll be even more surprise when “Mirrorworld” sees its release: SERIOUS BLACK have managed to excel their excellent debut! Prepare for something special: the “Mirrorworld” opens on September 9th…
“Mirrorworld” will be available as CD, Digipak (7 bonus tracks), ltd. Vinyl, ltd. Vinyl bundle (“Mirrorworld” + “As Daylight Breaks”) & ltd. box set.

Fresh, dark and extremely powerful are only a few of the best ways to accurately describe LACUNA COIL’s newest opus “Delirium”, which encompasses the strength and heavy approach of thrash metal from the 90’s twisted with goth elements into a modern style. Now, the group proudly presents the album’s first, official music video for its gripping title track. See below to check it out now and stay tuned to the official LACUNA COILFacebook page for all additional information. The video wasdirected by Michael Winkler for Iconographic.

Cristina Scabbia (vocals) states: “We filmed our parts for this video in one evening while we were on the US tour this past May. We used a Go-Pro against a black backdrop and we wanted something that would be purposely rough, something that could remind some weird lost videos found after years and years.
The whole video edited together with the parts filmed by the director with an actress turned out as a very strange sort of a trip, where a girl tries to tight up memories and details together to try to find her sanity back, somehow. I really like some of the scenes as they reminded me some kind of Korean horror movies vibe and it is totally fitting the ‘Delirium’ vibe and concept. It also leaves a lot to the imagination, so thanks for checking it out and enjoy.”

AEROSMITH guitarist Joe Perry will rejoin supergroup THE HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES on tour tonight (July 22nd) following the health scare that sent him to hospital during a show earlier this month, according to teamrock.com.
He was seen to struggle during the performance in New York on July 10, then staggered off stage, where he collapsed and was stretchered out by emergency staff.
While the cause has not been officially provided, unconfirmed reports say he was suffering from dehydration and exhaustion, and was ordered by doctors to rest.
A brief Facebook statement says: “Joe will rejoin The Hollywood Vampires July 22. Catch the tour before it ends.”
Four days remain on the trip, led by Alice Cooper and also featuring Johnny Depp, Matt Sorum and Robert DeLeo.
