Florida-based GODS OF CENTAURUS, (GOC), which morphed out the band Dark Matter, is currently mixing their second effort at Morrisound Recording, Tampa, FL., with Jim Morris at the helm.
The album, entitled “Volition,” is set to be released this Fall with the first single due out mid-Summer. The band’s lineup consists of Paul Beach (lead vocals), John Beach (keyboards and backing vocals), Terry Schambers (guitar), Jeff Lords (bass), and GJ Gosman (drums). Jeff Lords, who is also bassist/co-songwriter and founding member of the prog-metal band, Crimson Glory, supplies the subject matter and concepts around which the band’s songs are composed. Topics include child abuse, martyrdom, self-determination, sensationalism, in conjunction with concepts of the purely abstract.
The new album follows in the wake of their self-titled GOC debut, which featured the single and video “Sleeping Wide Awake,” about the Radium Girls, and how young, female factory workers who painted watch dials during WWI were mysteriously dying, when it was later discovered that the glow in the dark paint that they were using contained trace but deadly amounts of radium. Song titles for the upcoming album include: Rogue Star, Another Planet’s Hell, Suffer the Cost, Die Martyr Die, which will show that the band are continuing this theme of interesting and thematic lyric writing
Jeff Lords is also currently involved in the resurrection of Crimson Glory with new singer Travis Wills fronting the band, along with Mark “Borgy” Borgmeyer who replaced original guitarist Jon Drenning for an early 2025 release on BraveWords Records.
Impassioned singer-songwriter Beth Hart releases her beautiful new single, “You Still Got Me.” The song is released on Provogue / Mascot Label Group and is available on all streaming platforms. You can watch the heartfelt video HERE.
The video features footage of Hart interacting with her fans, a connection that is felt deeply in both directions, along with personal footage of Beth and her beloved husband, Scott.
Produced by the legendary Kevin Shirley and recorded in the musical heart of Nashville, TN, the song is a piano-led window into Hart. The enchanting vocals spiral around a gorgeous string arrangement that wouldn’t sound out of place front and centre in a Martin Scorsese movie.
The song opens with Beth’s tearful lamenting, “He asked me if I need a hug, I said I got nothin inside left to love, and then he said, But baby ya still got, baby you still got me,” before the chorus which swirls up to the heavens as she yearns, “There’ll be sweet dreams waiting to come true If you let me in if you ask me to, Sweet songs that will live on and on, If you let me in, if you ask me to, I will love you strong, but if you can’t get free… You still got me.”
Talking about the song, Beth says, “This is a true story. I had a moment where I wasn’t in a positive mood, and I was hanging out on the couch, crying pretty hard, and Scott said, ‘Hey, do you need a hug?’ I said, I’ve got nothing inside left to love, and he said, you still got me. I said, hang on a minute; I’ll be right back. I went downstairs and used those words and how he said it. You say something like that, and someone who you love so much says back, but you’ve still got me. It’s true. If I’ve still got him, I’ve still got everything.”
“You Still Got Me” follows “Little Heartbreak Girl”, which was released in March. The song came after a period of introspection and recovery for Hart. While facing personal mental health challenges, she has chosen to channel her experiences into her music, offering solace and strength to those who listen. Hart’s decision to share this song is a powerful reminder of music’s ability to heal and unite us, especially in the most challenging times. It’s not only as a testament to Hart’s incredible artistry but also as an offering of appreciation to her fans. The song’s rich, emotive lyrics and Hart’s powerful vocals create an intimate musical experience that resonates with the spirit of perseverance and hope.
With a career marked by critical acclaim and countless accolades, Beth Hart has solidified her place as one of the most influential and heartfelt voices in music today. Her journey, marked by triumphs and trials, reflects her relentless dedication to her craft and fans. Hart’s music, infused with her raw, soulful energy, has captivated audiences worldwide, earning her top spots on the Billboard Blues charts and performances at iconic venues like Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome and London’s Royal Albert Hall.
There is an electrifying connection between Beth and her fans, one that’s almost unrivalled. Her ability to touch people with her music and words that cut through straight to the heart means that she lives every word she sings, and fans hang on to each word, living it with her. You Still Got Me offers fans a chance to hold and comfort her as she continues to navigate her journey with grace and courage.

Out now on Massacre Records: “In Chambers Of Sonic Disgust”, the brand new album by Danish death metal heavy weights ILLDISPOSED! In support of today’s record release, the band has unleashed a brand new music video for the track “Lay Low”, watch the clip now streaming below!
“In Chambers Of Sonic Disgust” is the first release of new music from ILLDISPOSED since 2019. It is definitely not normal to see a gap like this between their releases, but several events slowed down the process. First, the COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the music industry and made the band focus on other things for a while. Then guitar player Rasmus Henriksen was diagnosed with brain cancer. Rasmus has now left the band to focus 100% on the treatment. Former guitar player Ken Holst is back in the band, replacing Rasmus. Now, ILLDISPOSED are finally back to show the world how years of crisis and struggle have been transcribed to music. “In Chambers Of Sonic Disgust” is full of anger and frustration, and the most ambitious and creative ILLDISPOSED album – ever!
“In Chambers Of Sonic Disgust” is featuring guest perfomances of Sandie The Lilith (Defacing God), andwas mixed and mastered by Tue Madsen at Antfarm Studio. The album artwork was designed by Timon Kokott of Art-Work.

Four long years after the release of their highly acclaimed album “Illuminati,” Dutch black/death metal icons GOD DETHRONED descend from the shoals of silence with their brand new offering titled “The Judas Paradox,” which is due out on September 6, 2024 through Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM). The hellish Dutchmen don’t beat around the bush and set the bar right away by delivering a fierce statement about the Vatican’s darkest skeletons in the closet with their new single, ‘Rat Kingdom.’
Front-man Henri “The Serpent King” Sattler explains, “This song is about the Vatican and the many secrets that are being kept there, away from the eyes of the world. And he who speaks will disappear in the shadows down below. Musically, it’s a song which starts with a classic pile of melody lines that makes it both hymnic and bombastic, followed by a blast of fury with a black metal vibe and the Serpent King’s very own style of guitar solo – one which stands out from the masses and pays tribute to the late Jeff Hanneman.”
After ‘Asmodevs’ (2022), which was re-worked for “The Judas Paradox” under the adapted title ‘Asmodeus,’‘Rat Kingdom’ is the second single from GOD DETHRONED‘s upcoming thirteenth studio album. It represents a sonic descent into the very heart of darkness and deceit, where the lines between good and evil are blurred, and the true nature of power is revealed. This brutal and unflinching exploration of the human condition strips away the masks, laying bare the mankind’s true nature.
Eleven songs strong, “The Judas Paradox” was produced by the band themselves, with mixing being handled by their very own singer/guitarist Henri.Tony Lindgren, who previously worked with scene greats such as OPETH, AMORPHIS, ENSLAVED, KATATONIA, KREATOR and SEPULTURA, took over mastering duties at Fascination Street Studios, rounding off the grandly sinister sound of “The Judas Paradox.”
“The Judas Paradox” – Track Listing:
01. The Judas Paradox 02. Rat Kingdom 03. The Hanged Man 04. Black Heart 05. Asmodeus 06. Kashmir Princess 07. Hubris Anorexia 08. The Eye Of Providence 09. Hailing Death 10. Broken Bloodlines 11. War Machine

Danish epic doomsters ALTAR OF OBLIVION release today their new album. Titled “In The Cesspit Of Divine Decay”, the record is a concept work based on the diary of guitarist Martin Meyer Sparvath’s maternal great-grandfather Jesper Wilhem Meyer, who reluctantly fought for the German Empire during The Great War (1914-1918).
Preparations for this aural endeavour began in 2005, when the band tracked a demo version of what years later would morph into the now completed album, which was originally supposed to be the debut full-length of the early duo incarnation of the band. This album contains some of the band’s first ever creations, and in many ways, it can be regarded as some sort of Altar Of Oblivion-prototype, bringing forth and spewing out their darkest and most traditional epic doom-work to date.
During and since the pandemic, Altar Of Oblivion have been in recording mode, finishing both new and old stuff, including two full-lengths, two EPs and an acoustic album, enabling the band to take a well-deserved studio-break in order to focus on live shows from now on. A number of gigs have been confirmed for 2024, and the collective is now looking forward to hitting the stage again, heavier, older and more invigorated than ever. Time will tell if playing live is the right cure for a severe case of discoloured studio tan.
“In The Cesspit Of Divine Decay” will be released on CD, LP (black vinyl) and digital formats on June 28th, 2024 via From The Vaults. Physical orders are available via this link, while the digital version can be streamed here.
“In The Cesspit Of Divine Decay” tracklist:
1. Nothing Grows From Hallowed Ground 2. The Fallacy 3. Ghosts In The Trenches 4. Mark Of The Dead 5. Altar Of Oblivion 6. The Night They Came 7. Silent Pain 8. Damnation 9. In The Cesspit Of Divine Decay 10. Wind Among Waves
The origins of Altar of Oblivion can be traced back to 2003, when Martin Meyer Sparvath (guitars/vocals) and Allan Larsen (drums) formed a duo called Summoning Sickness. Three years later, this doubtful project was transformed into a four-piece named Altar Of Oblivion, and the entity went from playing simple black/speed/heavy-metal to epic doom metal. The band has so far, apart from a number of demos, EPs and a live album, three full-lengths under its belt.
“In The Cesspit Of Divine Decay” will be released on CD, LP (black vinyl) and digital formats on June 28th, 2024 via From The Vaults.
Lineup: Mik Mentor – vocals Martin Meyer Sparvath – guitars & guitar-synth Jeppe Campradt – guitars C. Nørgaard – bass Danny Woe – drums Jannick Nielsen – keyboards
