Internationally renowned guitar player Marcus Nand is thrilled to announce the release of his brand new single “Make A Little Time,” the latest offering from his forthcoming solo album, The Traveler. Born in the UK and raised in Spain, Marcus Nand’s musical journey has been deeply influenced by his diverse background in flamenco guitar, blues, and rock. His unique blend of styles has earned him acclaim in projects such as the metal band Freak Of Nature, featuring White Lion singer Mike Tramp, and the world music-influenced rock band Ziroq, alongside famed David Bowie bassist Carmine Rojas.
Released on the heels of the album’s first single, the propulsive rocker “Long Way Down,” “Make A Little Time” slows things down for a mid-tempo track that gives Nand plenty of space to showcase his tasteful guitar playing. It also highlights Nand’s powerful, soulful vocals, which demonstrate the incredible amount of passion and love Nand pours into his music.
Speaking about the album as a whole, Nand says, “The Traveler is definitely a very musical guitar album – but not as you’d expect. There are lots of textures and depth to the guitars and I was careful in making sure they created an atmosphere and supported the vocals. A lot of care went into the writing, production and the vocals because I wanted every element to be strong and sound like a great ‘band’ – which I think it does!”
The Traveler is a testament to Nand’s exceptional talent and dedication, with each track composed or co-written by Nand himself. The album features guest appearances by Nand’s former bandmates Tramp and Rojas as well as Billy Idol guitarist Steve Stevens and others, who add a rich layer of collaboration to the project. Marcus Nand’s The Traveler is more than just an album; it is a musical odyssey that invites listeners to embark on a journey through Nand’s diverse influences and experiences. Look for it on CD, vinyl and digital starting August 2!
Finnish metal outfit Relicon is thrilled to unleash the lyric video for their powerful song “The Everyday,” taken from their EP “Consequences of Disbelief,” released earlier this year via Wormholedeath.
“The Everyday” is a potent exploration of self-improvement, resilience, and finding inner peace in the face of life’s inevitable challenges. The song reflects a profound journey of growth, navigating through external judgment and seeking solace in cherished memories while striving for inner tranquility.
Formed in 1998 by multi-instrumentalist Antti-Pekka Meronen, Relicon began as a solo project where he wrote and performed all the music. The project evolved into a full-fledged five-piece band in 2005. After releasing a series of demos, the band went on hiatus in 2008. Meronen continued to create and release music online as a solo artist. In 2024, Relicon re-emerged with a vengeance, signing with WormHoleDeath label and unleashing their impactful EP “Consequences of Disbelief.”

Today, THE TRAGICALLY HIP announces a commemorative boxset of their Diamond-certified debut album, Up To Here, the latest installment of special deluxe packages, set to release on November 8. Up To Here was originally released on September 5, 1989, as The Tragically Hip’s first full-length studio album, an introduction that brought them breakthrough success, including two Canadian rock radio #1 singles, “Blow at High Dough” and “New Orleans is Sinking” as well earning the band a JUNO Award for “Most Promising Artist” in 1990. Fans can pre-order the boxset today here.
The expanded reissue of Up To Here is a must-have for collectors, presented as a four-LP set on 180g vinyl alongside a book documenting the history of the debut album era. The reissue includes a 2024 remastering of the original album and four previously unreleased songs that didn’t make it on the original Up To Here album – “She’s Got What It Takes,” “Get Back Again,” “Rain, Hearts And Fire” and “Wait So Long” – that are also shared as part of this expanded package, are remastered and mixed in Atmos. A recording of Live at Misty Moon, the special filmed for MuchMusic in 1990 from the Misty Moon Cabaret in Halifax, with an accompanying 1-hour concert film, is also included on Blu-ray. The package also contains demos from 1988 recorded before the Up To Here recording session. The package will be available as a three-disc CD format.
Today, as a sneak peak, The Tragically Hip officially releases “Get Back Again,” which fans consider the holy grail of unreleased tracks from the band. The track was recorded before signing to their first major record deal with MCA (now Universal Music Canada), produced by Chris Wardman in November 1988, before the Up To Here sessions, now recently remixed and mastered to today’s standards. The band performed “Get Back Again” as part of the Live At Misty Moon set, which has been the only recorded version of the track from the band until now, making this a meaningful release for the band and their fans.
A brand-new official music video for “Get Back Again”- directed by Cleveland Henderson, son of Pete Henderson, who had previously directed many videos of the band, including the award-winning “Locked In The Trunk Of A Car” and “Courage (For Hugh MacLennan),” will premiere tonight at 7:00PM on The Tragically Hip’s YouTube.
Established in 1984, this year marks 40 Years of The Tragically Hip – a milestone for the beloved band. 2024 sees The Tragically Hip break open the archives, reminiscing with fans on four decades of music, friendship, and philanthropy. The band’s legacy will be honored with a yearlong celebration, which started with the designation of the Record Store Day Canada Ambassadors, the upcoming launch of a four-part Amazon Prime Documentary titled No Dress Rehearsal, and on October 1, the release of a deluxe, hand-crafted book titled This Is Our Life, the band’s story as told in their own words and features more than 300 pages of unseen rarities pulled from the band’s personal collections. The Up To Here boxset celebrates the early days of The Tragically Hip and is the latest installment of a series of reissues released over the last few years honoring the band’s extensive catalog – Road Apples 30th Anniversary Deluxe Boxset (2021), Fully Completely Vinyl Release (2022), Phantom Power 25th Anniversary Deluxe Boxset (2023).

40 YEARS OF THE TRAGICALLY HIP: The Tragically Hip has been at the heart of the Canadian musical zeitgeist, evoking an unrivaled emotional connection between their music and their fans. A five-piece group of friends including Rob Baker (guitar), Gord Downie (vocals, guitar), Johnny Fay (drums), Paul Langlois (guitar) and Gord Sinclair (bass), who grew up in Kingston, Ontario, The Tragically Hip have achieved both mass popularity with more than 12 million albums in Canada and over 2 million sold in the U.S, as well as peer recognition through 17 Juno Awards – picking up the distinguished Humanitarian Award in 2021 at the 50th annual JUNO Awards, which recognizes Canadian artists or industry leaders whose humanitarian contributions have positively enhanced the social fabric of Canada and beyond. In 2022, they were inducted into Canada’s Walk Of Fame for Humanitarianism in pursuit of social and environmental justice. They received a star on the Walk Of Fame in 2002 for Arts & Entertainment. Most recently, the band and their manager, Jake Gold, received the War Child Canada Founder’s Award, celebrating over 20 years of support for the global humanitarian organization. The Tragically Hip’s tireless activism and philanthropic pursuits have raised millions of dollars for multiple social and environmental causes, such as Camp Trillium, the Canadian Cancer Society, the Sunnybrook Foundation, WAR Child, the Special Olympics, and the Unison Benevolent Fund. Their studio catalog includes their self-titled debut album The Tragically Hip (1987), Up To Here (1989), Road Apples (1991), Fully Completely (1992), Day For Night (1994), Trouble At The Henhouse (1996), Phantom Power (1998), Music @ Work (2000), In Violet Light (2002), In Between Evolution (2004), World Container (2006), We Are The Same (2009), Now For Plan A (2012), Man Machine Poem (2016) and Saskadelphia (2021). A National Celebration was the final show of The Tragically Hip’s Man Machine Poem Tour, recorded on August 20, 2016, at the K-Rock Centre in their hometown of Kingston, Ontario. It is their last performance as a five-piece band. Through their career, the band became a cultural touchstone in Canada, who, despite their accolades and numerous recognitions, will always be proudest of the humanitarian work they have done over the years through numerous charitable organizations and causes. The legacy of the band’s frontman, the late Gord Downie, continues with The Gord Downie and Chanie Wenjack Fund, which aims to build cultural understanding and create a path toward reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.
With the resounding success of their debut single ‘Snowplough’, Irish Rockers Mine Road have followed up with a knock-out in the form of ‘Tightrope’.
The new single, which is taken from the bands powerhouse debut LP ‘Tomorrow’s Sky’, is a high-energy rollercoaster that packs a serious punch.
Speaking of the new single, the band says; “The basic premise of this song is that you always have a choice in life to make things better for yourself. The chorus echoes this sentiment with the simple framing of walking the tightrope of life or walking away from the pressures and demands of modern life and choosing a healthier more sustainable path. Everyone is different so every path will be different, seek your own path rather than follow what people think is right for you”.
The new single follows the bands previous release ‘Snowplough’ (click here) which saw the track played on Ireland’s RTE 2XM and Radio Nova as well as capturing the attention of Rock critics and fans across Ireland, the UK and mainland EU.
The new album, ‘Tomorrow’s Sky’ is set for release on July 4th and contains eleven high-energy Rock anthems that will appeal to the fans of Foo Fighters, Shinedown, Nickleback and Alter Bridge (to name but a few).

Germany’s chart-topping LORD OF THE LOST announce the release of their new live album and DVD/BluRay, LIVE at W:O:A, out August 2, 2024, via Napalm Records! Featuring strong live versions of 16 original hits and two cover songs performed together with German 90s pop sensation Blümchen, LIVE at W:O:A was filmed and recorded during the band’s first-ever performance on the Wacken main stage, as “deadliners” after the iconic headliner Iron Maiden (with whom LORD OF THE LOST has shared the stage on two European tours). Tens of thousands of fans from all over the world celebrated in front of the stage late into the night with the band, which vocalist Chris Harms describes as “a dream come true”.
On the DVD version of LIVE at W:O:A, the particularly energetic and dynamic camera work emphasizes the extreme energy of a LORD OF THE LOST concert, as the band performs a balanced set full of surprises. Today, the band reveals a live version of “Drag Me To Hell”, a fan favorite that has over 2.2 million video views on the original version. Check out the live video below for a taste of what’s to come, and place your pre-order now!
LORD OF THE LOST topped the Official German Album Charts with their previous albums (Blood & Glitter landing at #1 and Weapons Of Mass Seduction at #2 on the Official German Album Charts), and the band’s career has skyrocketed in recent years, bringing LORD OF THE LOST to the attention of much larger audiences and to huge stages. To celebrate the release off their new offering LIVE at W:O:A the band teamed up with Metal Hammer UK recently for an extra-special bundle cover with a limited amount of 300 issues worldwide.
LIVE at W:O:A blends old fan favorites (such as “Drag Me To Hell” and “Loreley”) and hits from newer releases, including the title track “Blood & Glitter” as well as the Roxette cover “The Look” from the #1 charting latest studio album Blood & Glitter (Official German Album Charts). Blümchen’s legendary version of Paso Doble’s “Herz An Herz” is another entertaining addition.
Breaking the charts and playing the main stage at Wacken are just some of LORD OF THE LOST’s many 2023 highlights – the band represented Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest finals in Liverpool, performing to more than 150 million live viewers, and received plenty of attention from huge mainstream media outlets simultaneously. LORD OF THE LOST even performed for King Charles III, sold out several headline shows and played many other big festival stages alongside the riveting Wacken performance.
15 years of band history, over 500 shows in nearly 40 countries, 8 studio albums, 3 ensemble albums with orchestra and close to 60 music videos – LORD OF THE LOST is a creative machine that has paved its own way through the musical landscape over the years, without ever being stuck to just one genre or scene. Successor to the electrifying covers album Weapons Of Mass Seduction (2023, #2 on the Official German Album Charts), LIVE at W:O:A might well be LORD OF THE LOST’s last release as a five-piece, as the band gained an official sixth member in spring 2024. It is clear that following their busiest, most successful times as a band so far, LORD OF THE LOST is better than ever and still moving forward full-speed.
