Pennsylvania’s Another Day Dawns has dropped a new deluxe edition of their 2023 album, Finding Peace Through All The Noise. To celebrate the release, the band has released a video for the track, Luminous Bloom, which can be watched now on the Century Media Records YouTube channel!
Another Day Dawns is a high-energy rock band that was established in 2010 by drummer Nick McGeehan and guitarist Tyler Ritter of Lehighton, Pennsylvania. Initially performing classic rock covers, the addition of front-man Dakota Sean ignited their evolution into a full-on original act. The band quickly generated buzz across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region. Another Day Dawns has earned opening slots for Issues, Avatar, Breaking Benjamin, Atreyu, Badflower, Starset, and BuckCherry.
Last week marks the release of the second album in the Century Media Records catalogue re-issue campaign for legendary and groundbreaking Death Metallers EDGE OF SANITY, fronted by Swedish vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and acclaimed metal producer Dan Swanö (Opeth, Katatonia, Dissection, etc.)
The band’s entire catalogue has been long out of print, never previously available in certain formats or in any properly re-worked re-issue version, so it is now made available in definitive versions enhanced by tons of exciting extra-material, all efficiently remastered (or partly even remixed as bonus!) by Swanö himself.
The Metal Voice recently spoke to Sweet Guitarist Andy Scott and the new album and his legacy in Sweet.
In the chat Scott also talks about how he believed Nikki Sixx called him in the middle of the night to produce the original Motley Crue Demo.
Andy Scott was asked to explain this story, “Back in the early 80’s I got a phone call in the middle of the night and some guy was saying he was Nikki Sixx. Whether this is true or not I don’t know. I was telling him, you have been out and had a beer and you want to call me at 4 in the morning and it is something like 8pm o’clock for you. I said why don’t you ring me at regular hours. ” He said to me, “you produce great records, why don’t you come and produce us?” I said send me an airfare and I will be right over. Cause at that point in my life that is what I was trying to do, be a producer. Then I heard a few months later someone had picked up their demos, tarted them up and released that as their first album (Motley Crue). When he sent me the demos on cassette I thought well first off you have to get a bass player and a drummer who can play in time with each other. When asked again if he thought it was Nikki Sixx that actually called him Scott responded,” It probably was Nikki Sixx.”
SWEET are a rock music phenomena that has taken the world by storm for more than six decades. Over the years, SWEET sold more than 55 million records and earned 34 #1 chart positions worldwide.
The golden thread that links the past through to the present and into the future is SWEET founding member Andy Scott, with all his determination to maintain high standards with the band’s musical legacy, recording, and touring.
The band today still has an illustrious pedigree recreating “live” the high energy and soaring vocals associated with the SWEET sound that is the band’s trademark.
SWEET began writing songs for the Full Circle album in 2019 pre-pandemic. The project was shelved, and the band released Isolation Boulevard instead. This involved remote recording sessions which put a new spin on the material. The album was well received, and the single “Set Me Free” appeared in many Heritage Rock charts.
With the Covid period of isolation behind us, SWEET started the sessions for Full Circle in earnest. The band’s touring schedule split the sessions, but by the spring of 2024, the recordings were done. The band’s performance is outstanding, and producers Andy and Tom Cory are very proud of the result.
Full Circle will be SWEET’s final studio album ever.

Death metal act Vomit Forth unveil the hair-raising track, “Negative Penance” with a horrifying video. It’s the third single shared from their upcoming album, Terrified Of God, set for release October 11th through Century Media Records. In the deep winter of early 2024, the band headed into a cabin in the woods of New Jersey with Randy Leboeuf who recorded, mixed, mastered and produced the album. The month-long recording process led to twelve panic-stricken tracks where every riff, drum fill, and lyric leaves a footprint.
“Negative Penance” serves as one of the most brutal moments on Terrified Of God marked by frenzied guitars and intense drum work. Vocalist Kane Gelaznik displays his ability to easily shift between throaty vocals, curdling squeals, and a more direct delivery. The video for the song comes with a viewer discretion warning, as tape footage of a bizarre ritualistic murder materializes.
Portland, Oregon’s Unto Others have spent their seasons in the abyss and arise from the other side with their third full-length and Century Media debut Never, Neverland out September 20, 2024. The record is equally dreamy while never letting go of the energy and darkness that is UNTO OTHERS; one that owes as much to The Cure as it does to self-professed influences like The Sisters of Mercy and Iron Maiden. Simply put: this is the record where UNTO OTHERS prove themselves far more than just a one-trick, blackened steed, but instead, a band on the verge of something wickedly terrible and utterly timeless.
The album’s epic new single arrives alongside a cinematic music video by Brock Grossl. UNTO OTHERS’ Gabriel Franco comments, “Honestly surprised I wasn’t high when putting this together, cause it’s a weird one.” He continues, “With elements of punk/thrash/hardcore/post punk/goth and metal, ‘Momma Likes The Door Closed‘ is our attempt to recreate an 80s B-movie horror flick in musical format. Brock knocked it out of the park with the video, which must be watched with the song for the full experience. Shadows dance across the floor, don’t you ever open up the door!!”
Metal band FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY is thrilled to share their brand new single “Savior Of None / Ashes Of All”. Along with the track comes a new music video, which fans can watch below. “Savior Of None / Ashes Of All” comes from the band’s forthcoming album The Nothing That Is which is set to be released on October 25th via Nuclear Blast. Pre-order/pre-save the album now at https://ffaa.bfan.link/the-nothing-that-is.
On the new track, the band shares: “’Savior Of None / Ashes Of All’ is a reflection of the inherent darkness surrounding one’s struggle to find a place of peace within the pressures of existence. The root causes of suffering that leads us to depression, addiction, etc. can be ever-present in everyone. Whether or not it materializes in a controlling way, it certainly exists as a stain on the human psyche. It’s a powerful thought knowing that we all share this potential to self destruct, and how that can bring comfort in not feeling alone, or more chaos to an already fractured human.”

Success hasn’t spoiled FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY—but as any fan of the New Jersey metal sextet could tell you, there was never much chance of that happening in the first place. FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY’s acclaimed 2022 album On What the Future Holds was the band’s highest-charting release to date, becoming the first of their six full-lengths to reach the Top 25 of the Billboard 200. But while some musicians would take such an achievement as a cue to duplicate whatever worked last time, or maybe even tailor their sound to boost its commercial appeal, the band—vocalist Joe Badolato, guitarists Will Putney, Patrick Sheridan and Tim Howley, bassist Peter Spinazola, and drummer JoseanOrta—simply continued to evolve along their own path. The Nothing That Is, FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY’s seventh and latest album (and third for Nuclear Blast), bears no sign whatsoever of commercial concession or rehashed past glories. Instead, the ten-song album finds the band exploring moodier textures and deeper emotions that add new power and dynamics to their already brutal and complex music, while also completely tuning out the ambient noise of passing musical trends and the expectations of the outside world. Produced by Putney at his Graphic Nature Audio studio in Kinnelon, New Jersey, The Nothing That Is is an album filled with anger, frustration and crushing despair. Songs like “Hostage“, “Red Horizon“, “Lower Purpose“,and the pummeling title track grapple with the horrors that the human race has unnecessarily inflicted upon the world, while the epic, introspective closer “The Silver Sun” reflects bitterly upon our uncertain future. Built to be listened to in its entirety in a single sitting ,The Nothing That Is flows like the gripping soundtrack to a documentary film of our increasingly dystopian existence. A ringing wake-up call for humanity and a thoroughly intense listening experience, TheNothing That Is brims with both aggression and melody, its bracing music delivered with the confidence of a band that has honed its skills and forged its sense of purpose through fifteen-plus years of all-out live shows. Sufficiently secure of their place in the metal firmament to let their music go wherever feels right for a particular song, FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY have delivered what may well be the greatest album of their career.
