In the shadows where the ancient and the arcane coalesce, GRAVENOIRE rises, shrouded in mist and whispers of forgotten rites.
The band is an assembly of black metal luminaries: RMS Hreidmarr (Anorexia Nervosa, Bâ’a), Maximillien Brigliadori and Emmanuel Zuccaro (Bâ’a) and Vicomte Vampyr Arkames (Ad Inferna, ex-Seth). Their debut album, Devant La Porte Des Étoiles is an unflinching homage to raw and visceral ’90s black metal.
Devant La Porte Des Étoilescomes out today, August 23, and you can listen to all six mystical songs by listening to the full album stream on Black Metal Promotions YouTube channel.
Formed in 2022, Gravenoire channels an uncompromising vision, meticulously crafted in the crucible of live rehearsals, devoid of digital taint. From the incantation of the instrumental Pavens to the desolate hymn Granit, every track serves as a ritualistic tome, scrawled with rebellion, mysticism, and an insatiable desire for transcendence.

GRAVENOIRE was formed in early 2022 by Maximilien Brigliadori (BÂ’A, Diablation, former Hyrgal), Emmanuel Zuccaro (BÂ’A, Verfallen, former Hyrgal), Vicomte Vampyr Arkames (Diablation (former Seth / Ad-Inferna) and RMS Hreidmarr(Glaciation, BÂ’A, former Anorexia Nervosa / The CNK), with the clear intention of reconnecting with their past and a somewhat uncompromising vision of 90s Black Metal.
The band’s first album, “Devant La Porte Des Étoiles“, was recorded live on rehearsal, with no tracking, no triggers, no click track, no artifice. No compromise with reality, for it is through it and by it that we foresee other dimensions.
GRAVENOIRE is not, however, merely nostalgic or backward-looking; it’s a project deeply rooted in its native lands, in their popular as well as spiritual and mystical traditions, drawing its essence from sacred places, cosmic architecture and primordial telluric forces. “The cosmos is a revolving door”.
Canadian blues, soul, and rock guitarist and singer-songwriter Marcus Trummer is excited to announce the release of his highly anticipated studio album From The Start. The album, released by Gypsy Soul Records on Friday 15th November 2024, is available to pre-order on vinyl and CD HERE.
The second single “Waiting For Change,” released Friday 23rd August, is available on all streaming platforms HERE and on YouTube audio HERE.
“I wrote Waiting For Change after feeling powerless to change things going on in society and in politics that I felt weren’t right,” says Trummer. “It’s a message of empowerment that serves as a reminder to me and others that you don’t have to be complacent with the direction culture is going in. Life is too short to waste time being afraid to stand up for what we believe in.”
Produced and mixed by The Commoners’ guitarist Ross Hayes Citrullo and Renan Yildizdogan (Samantha Martin & Delta Sugar, Bywater Call, The Commoners), From the Start features Silas Trummer (drums) and Stacey Shopsowitz (bass).
The album also features contributions from two members of the Commoners, who made a significant impact in the UK and Europe this year: Miles Evans-Branagh (keys and piano), and Adam Cannon (drums). Additionally, the album features two-time Juno nominee, Canadian soul sensationSamantha Martin & Delta Sugar’shorn section, with Tom Moffett (trumpet) and Andrew Moljgun (saxophone). The soulful background vocals are provided by Gypsy Soul recording artist Nicky Lawrence.
From The Start is Marcus Trummer’s debut record. A young blood with an old soul, Trummer marries modern sensibilities with tradition in his distinctive style that encompasses blues, soul, and rock. Dubbed “a precocious guitarist whose vocals possess a wise-beyond-his-years weariness,” by the Calgary Herald, the Calgary-born artist is already earning critical acclaim and recognition.
In September 2019, Trummer was the recipient of the “Prophets of Music Emerging Artist Award” at Calgary’s YYC Music Awards. In 2022, he won “Blues Recording of the Year” at Calgary’s YYC Music Awards.
In 2022, Trummer received a nomination for “New Artist of the Year” at the Maple Blues Awardsin Toronto. The following year, he travelled to Colorado to perform as a finalist in the 2023 Telluride Blues Challenge, which he would go on to win.
Trummer’s music draws inspiration from the timeless sounds of the 60s and 70s. With his warm and emotive vocals, Trummer pays respect to classic soul singers like Bill Withers and Al Green.
His expressive guitar work channels the impassioned approach of players like B.B. King and Jimi Hendrix. Packed with raw emotion and honesty, Trummer’s songwriting is not to be overlooked. His thoughtful lyrics examine universal subjects of love and coming of age, unpacking experiences that resonate with all listeners.

MARCUS TRUMMER – ALBUM TRACK BY TRACK 1. Holding Out For You This is a song about “the one that got away,” so to speak. It’s a reflection on a past relationship that didn’t work out, and that sliver of hope that someday circumstances might change, and it would work out.
2. Let You Down Simply put, this song articulates an assurance of commitment to a relationship. Although written from the perspective of a romantic relationship, I hope listeners can also interpret the lyrics as a statement of my dedication to them. I take the relationships in my life seriously, and that includes the relationships with the people who support my music.
3. Hard Time This one is about the fact that love is ultimately what matters and is what we need to be aimed at spreading. Our world is truly a crazy and chaotic place, with what feels like endless division, conflict, and tragedy. With all the pain and suffering out there, I believe love is the only answer. It can be easy to forget when you’re caught up in the daily grind of it all, but it truly is everything and I try to keep that in mind.
4. Waiting For Change I wrote this song after feeling powerless to change things going on in society and in politics that I felt weren’t right. It’s a message of empowerment that serves as a reminder to me and others that you don’t have to be complacent with the direction culture is going in. Life is too short to waste time being afraid to stand up for what we believe in.
5. The Only Thing I lean on my classic blues influences more for this song than any other on the record. It’s a slow blues and is a nod to one of my biggest blues heroes B.B. King.
6. From The Start This song is about looking back as a relationship is failing and realizing how it clearly wasn’t meant to be from the start. They say hindsight is 20/20 and that can be so true, especially in a romantic context where your feelings in the beginning can taint your perspective of reality.
7. Break My Fall This is a song about struggling with loneliness while taking a unique path in life. Being an up-and-coming musician can feel isolating at times, it’s a lot of work and a lot of being misunderstood. I think it’s the combination of being busy, traveling a lot, and not having a conventional experience that’s relatable to others that causes this. I wouldn’t trade my life for anyone else’s, but it does come with some challenges.
8. Not The Same This song speaks to the process of growth and how it can be hard to shed your past identity as you evolve. This is especially the case when others don’t recognize your change immediately and still view you as your past self. Sometimes you need to make it clear that you are not the same.
9. Ready To Go This is about falling out of love with the place I grew up in after watching it become something I no longer liked. It was born out of some dark times I experienced personally where I was going through a lot of changes, and I had become disenchanted with my community. At the time, I was pretty hopeless and lost. It felt like the world as I knew it would never be the same.
10. Let The Devil Win This song is somewhat of a response to the previous one. It’s a call to action to anyone who feels things are headed in the wrong direction. Ultimately, being overcome by sadness with what’s going on is not the answer. The only way forward is to find it in you to fight for what is right and strive to be a force for good in the world, despite the resistance you may encounter.
Soundsrock Agency is thrilled to announce KARON to its roster family.
The group founds its roots in October 2018 initially with three elements, Andrea Laganà (Guitar), Daniele Russo (Voice) and Giacomo Cannici (Drums). In February 2019 the official start of the project takes place with the addition of two new members, Davide Nobile (Bass) and Massimo Guercio (Guitar).
From the first ideas they embark on a common path, determined by detailed characteristics including continuous tempo changes and the use of nuances in the seemingly similar Riffs. Due to a series of factors, the group returns to the lineup that founded the project, defining more compositions for a total of eight. It stops the world because of Covid.
In ‘October 2021 the band begins the recording sessions of what will become, in 2023, the album containing the work done previously entitled “EVOLUTION OF THE JOURNEY where inside the songs become a summary of all the influences accrued in the course of writing Prog/Death metal character.”
Currently the lineup consists of Andrea Laganà (Guitar), Giacomo Cannici (Drums), Daniele Russo (Vocals), Antonio Collerà (Bass) and Vincenzo Ciolino (Guitar).
On November 18, 2023, the band performs for its first live show at Mind House in Palermo.

Samantha Fish is gearing up to release new live performance recordings on Rounder Records, starting with a powerful rendition of “Better Be Lonely” on August 23rd. The single is available on all streaming platforms HERE. Watch the music video on YouTube HERE.
Originally featured on her 2021 chart-topping album Faster, the alternative version of “Better Be Lonely” captures the raw energy and magnetic stage presence that Fish is known for. These upcoming releases follow a banner year of touring, where Fish shared the stage with legends like Slash, Eric Clapton, and The Rolling Stones, solidifying her place as a modern guitar hero showing no signs of slowing.
“Better Be Lonely” was recorded in Nashville during a live performance video shoot. This live track captures the essence of the album’s themes—taking control in both relationships and life, with a focus on empowerment. Fish’s rebellious energy pulses through “Better Be Lonely,” a loose and freewheeling track driven by a blistering guitar solo.
About performing live, Samantha declares, “Making albums is one of my favourite things to do, it’s an opportunity to reinvent myself and my sound… but the stage is where we go to really bring the songs to life. I feel like I connect the most with my audience from the stage. There is something so special about that kind of energy. It’s raw, no frills… no big fixes or edits. It’s what you can do with the moment, so I think it’s important to attempt to bottle that.”
Fish, an award-winning singer/songwriter and guitar powerhouse, teamed up with Outlaw Country icon Jesse Dayton to record 2023’s collaborative album Death Wish Blues. The Grammy-nominated record debuted at #1 on the Billboard Blues Chart and stayed there for three consecutive weeks, marking Fish’s fifth chart-topping album.
2024 has been another standout year for Samantha Fish. She kicked off with a high-profile performance alongside Eric Clapton at his Crossroads tour stop in Los Angeles, followed by a triumphant return to the New Orleans Jazz Fest, where she captivated 30,000 fans. Fish’s momentum continued as she joined Slash on his S.E.R.P.E.N.T. tour, and later opened for The Rolling Stones during the final show of their North American tour. Her relentless touring schedule rolls on with more U.S. dates before she joins the ‘Experience Hendrix’ tour in September, and in October, Fish will take her band across the Atlantic for a month of shows in the U.K. and Europe.
Having graced the covers of Guitar World and Vintage Guitar, Samantha Fish has become a favourite of the music press. No Depression effused, “Samantha Fish can take you for a ride in the country, blow your blues away, or body slam you with some raucous rawk from her oil-can guitar,” The New York Times declared, “For the last decade, she has been one of the most promising young blues performers working, a punchy singer and a rowdy guitarist. Variety Magazine called her “a badass, slide-guitar wielding female from Kansas City lobbing some blues wailing rock and roll,” and Offbeat Magazine stated that Samantha was, “Well on her way to becoming an international star.”
Not just stunning but a whirlwind too, touring at least 250 days a year and playing to sold-out crowds in the U.S., U.K., Europe, and Australia. With live tracks like “Better Be Lonely,” she’s bringing the concert experience to more listeners than ever before.

Annisokay, known for their intense blend of metalcore and post-hardcore, have dropped a new single titled ‘Get Your Sh*t Together’, along with an equally gripping music video. The track is a raw expression of frustration with the current state of the world, combining heavy riffs and powerful vocals to deliver a message that resonates with the chaos of our times.
“The video for ‘Get Your Sh*t Together’ starts off like a classic bank robbery. Armed with guns and modern gear, and with Rudi as our hacker in the van, we’ve planned the perfect job. But what if we’re after something much bigger than cash? There are secrets guarded more closely than any fortune in the world—secrets that were never meant to see the light of day. What if we manage to uncover them? We don’t want money; we want answers!”
The song captures the overwhelming emotions many feel today, encapsulated perfectly in the band’s inspiration:
“Do you also feel like the whole world is spiraling out of control? It seems like the most powerful and influential people have lost their minds, pushing us closer and closer to the edge. But it’s not just them—everyday people who talk nonsense and make life difficult make you want to shout, ‘Get your sh*t together!’”

Modern metal quintet The Oklahoma Kid have released their new EP Featherminded, out now via Arising Empire. To celebrate the release, the band have revealed their new single ‘Nostalgic Love’.
Featherminded showcases The Oklahoma Kid‘s ability to blend intricate guitar work with soaring melodies and compelling lyrical narratives.
‘Nostalgic Love’ combines aggressive instrumentation with melodic hooks, creating a dynamic tension that reflects the song’s thematic depth. This single further establishes The Oklahoma Kid’s penchant for pushing musical and thematic boundaries, solidifying their reputation as innovators in the genre.
The Oklahoma Kid deliver breathtaking modern metal that bridges the gap between technical intricacy and energising rhythms. Since forming in 2012 the band – consisting of David J. Burtscher, Fred Stölzel, Robert Elfenbein, Tomm Brümmer and Andreas Reinhard – have consistently pushed boundaries and have established their foundation in the German metal scene.
After their successful debut album Solarray (2019) and struck by the global pandemic, The Oklahoma Kid set their focus on writing new music with one simple goal in mind, to better themselves and give every fan something to crave for – their 2022 album Tangerine Tragic.
Tangerine Tragicis built on the strengths of their debut Solarray. It plays with new ideas and concepts, comes gentle as a breeze and strikes hard as a wrecking ball. The album was recorded and produced by Jan Kerscher (Ghost City Recordings) and mixed and mastered by Lance Prenc (Alpha Wolf, Polaris, Dealer), which gives the production its full-blown punch.
The Oklahoma Kid toured the country with renowned acts such as Stick To Your Guns, Carnifex, EvergreenTerrace and Hatebreed, electrifying crowds with their passionate, relentless performance.
The Oklahoma Kid are no longer an insider tip and a force to be reckoned with. Whether you experience them live at a festival or on record in your living room, The Oklahoma Kid will change your perception of what metal is capable of.
