EMPIIRES Release New Single ‘Never Enough’

Dallas, Texas modern rock band Empiires has released their latest single “Never Enough” through TLG|ZOID / Virgin Music Group.

“The song ‘Never Enough’ tells the story of how hard it is to walk away from a bad relationship. We’ve all been in a situation that doesn’t work but we can’t let go. All of the little reminders we think of are the scars we carry around with us. ‘Never Enough’ sums up that experience for a lot of us,” says the band.

They continue, “We’re excited about releasing new music and all of the new listeners we might connect with. We put everything we are into this new track and can’t wait for you to check it out!“

Members, Bishop Booker vocals, Darren Wise guitars, Jeff Comess bass, Chad Crutchfeild drums have been a band for four years. With five charted previous releases, they’re excited about their latest single “Never Enough”.

Emerging band She Was the Carnation and the Rose is excited to announce the release of their second single, “Limits of the Wraithlamp District” from their debut album, The Guardian Angel, that was released on August 2, 2024. The music and lyrics for the entire album were crafted by Michael Seebold, who also took on the role of producer. The recording, mixing, and mastering were expertly handled by Dick Hodgin at Osceola Studios in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Formed during the late rainy months of 2023, She Was the Carnation and the Rose is comprised of singer Noémi Sárog, songwriter Michael Seebold, and drummer Bill Eagen.

Their debut album, The Guardian Angel, features five original songs that create a range of atmospheres from wintry to melancholic to serene. This album is also the first installment in the band’s planned trilogy, known as the “stained glass” trilogy. Across these albums, listeners can expect a blend of dreamlike atmospheres, mellifluent and dark passages, and the occasional jazz nocturne or classical minuet.

Emerging rock sensation Eyes Like Midnight are thrilled to announce the release of their latest single, “QUICKSAND,” accompanied by a compelling music video.

“With ‘QUICKSAND’, we wanted to shift drastically from our last single, ‘BAD LOVE’, to create something unapologetically fierce. We wanted to write a track that was just relentlessly heavy. I’ve always been pretty fascinated by Egyptian mythology and this song felt like a perfect fit to experiment with it. We ended up with what is probably the heaviest track of our careers. We debuted this track at Rock Fest in Cadott, WI and the energy we felt from the crowd was incredible!” says Robert Cosgrove, the band’s vocalist.

In this age of artificial intelligence, rapid change and dynamic evolution are inevitable.

Trends and bands come and go with the hyper-speed of information flow. After 10+ years and nearly 700 live shows all across America, the dissolution of vocalist/songwriter Robert Cosgrove’s band Sleep Signals in 2023 gave birth to something new and noteworthy – and in 2024, it emerged as a fully evolved idea.

EYES LIKE MIDNIGHT signifies the dawn of a new era, where his seemingly-limitless ability to create is no longer bound by the constraints of staying within formula. “Starting over has allowed me to be much more dynamic and to incorporate different sounds into the framework of my music”, explains Cosgrove. Recording 15 new songs in three multi-week, intense sessions at producer Chris Dawson’s Aphiotic Studios in rural Kansas, Robert and his co-writers spent eight weeks writing and tracking the music that would ultimately encapsulate the beginning of EYES LIKE MIDNIGHT.

On April 18th, the debut single, “Digital Deity” was unleashed to streaming platforms globally. The track garnered immediate attention, receiving rotation on Sirius XM Octane and several FM stations around the US. The band followed up their debut with a synthwave-inspired pop track, “Bad Love,” which features a brutal breakdown before concluding the final chorus. On August 2nd, the band releases “Quicksand,” the heaviest track to date.

The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara + Mr Meuri

The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara (TCOMAS) have released a new song – “Bite the Bullet“, featuring UK-based Italian rapper Mr Meuri. Born out of a collaborative studio session between the TCOMAS duo of Daphne Ang and Andrea Papi and rap artist Mr Meuri, the dynamic new song combines hip-hop and to showcase the diverse talents of the artists.

Speaking about the guest feature, Andrea Papi shares,
“We wanted to push our sound into another territory. We invited our good friend Mr Meuri to collaborate on vocals for an instrumental track I created. He’s an awesome rap artist who has performed and worked with many well-known Italian artists.”

Reflecting on the collaboration, Daphne adds, 
“Working with Mr. Meuri on this track really inspired me to finally try my hand at rapping, something I’ve always wanted to do but never had the chance or courage to pursue. It was a great experience that pushed me out of my comfort zone to explore a new creative outlet”.

“Bite the Bullet (featuring Mr Meuri)” is preceded by “Feed the Beast”, a progressive rock and metal anthem about addiction. Released earlier this year, the single gained recognition by being included in various editorial playlists on Apple Music and Amazon Music.

The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara
The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara (TCOMAS), a UK-based duo featuring Daphne Ang (Singapore) and Andrea Papi (Italy), emerged in London in early 2020. Their debut album, Full Spectrum, established their innovative fusion of poetry performance and heavy music, creating a unique form of expression that has become synonymous with TCOMAS. Their sophomore album, Trust No Leaders, released on July 1, 2022, explores the history of metal, paying tribute to various subgenres and non-Western musical influences. In 2024, TCOMAS released “Mysterium Tremendum” – a fusion of classical orchestration, poetry, and death metal, followed by “Feed the Beast”, a progressive rock and metal anthem about addiction.

Mr Meuri
Hailing from Cagliari, Sardinia (Italy), London-based rapper Mr Meuri emerged from the vibrant Sardinian hip-hop scene in the early 2000s. Over the years, Mr Meuri has worked and performed with many well-known Italian rappers and artists, cultivating an eclectic sound that incorporates multiple influences ranging from crossover and new metal to hardcore, punk, hip-hop, rap, and R&B. Mr Meuri is currently represented by Italian hip-hop label Zerocloni Records.

DEMONICAL Announce “Victorious Death – Live In Latin America” Album, Share Music Video ‘Sun Blackened (Live)’

Swedish death metal extraordinaire DEMONICAL is gearing up to release its first ever live record, “Victorious Death – Live In Latin America”, on August 30th (CD/MC/Digital) and September 27th (LP) via Agonia Records. The album constitutes tracks recorded during a tour of the eponymous region in September 2023, and is led by the single “Sun Blackened (Live)”, available now on streaming platforms.

The audio received a full-scale treatment featuring mixing at Wellbay Studios with Johan Hjelm, and mastering at Pentagram Music Studios by George Emmanuel (Lucifer’s Child, ex-Rotting Christ, ex-Necormanita). The album artwork was created by Chris Kiesling.

DEMONICAL mastermind Martin Schulman commented: “After eighteen years and several hundred shows world-wide it’s finally time for the first Demonical live full-length! DEMONICAL was spawned in 2006 by then-former Centinex members, Martin Schulman (bass), Ronnie Bergerståhl (drums) and Johan Jansson (ex-guitars & ex-vocals), with a mission to return to the roots of death metal. The now-fivepiece has made good on that promise with a vengeance, traversing a HM2-beaten path of melodic, Swedish death metal, replete with darkness and brutality.
