TRILLIUM vocalist Amanda Somerville, who is currently on tour in Europe supporting DELAIN, has posted a new video blog. Check it out below.
“Two days off in Budapest! We had a blast exploring the historic sites (albeit in some pretty extreme heat for this time of year), chilling at the spa and sampling some of the wonderful cuisine that Budapest has to offer. The show was excellent and we met up with some old friends, as well. Good times, good times!
BTW, I challenge everyone to see how many times they can find a German with their pants down in these vids. 🙂 Also, I don’t know why I mentioned caviar as an ‘indigenous Hungarian specialty’, but whatever! Blonde American…”

Guitar legend STEVE VAI has checked in with the following update:
“Hey Folks. Here‘s something new for you guitar heads to fetish. I know I do! And did I tell you I’m almost done with the new record?”
In addition, Vai has commented on his forthcoming album:
“In looking for an interesting collaboration for a track on the new record, I called Aimee Mann. We went to Berkley together and she was actually in a band back then with my then girlfriend, (now wife) Pia. Through the years I always enjoyed Aimee’s music. Something special about her. She was kind enough to write lyrics and sing a duo with me on a track. Added a whole new dimension. She’s the first one I collaborated with on my music in 13 years. What a great gal. Hope for more of that.”

BraveWords.com Editor In Chief Martin Popoff has issued a follow-up to his Fighting My Way Back, Thin Lizzy 69-76 title, available for shipping as of today (Friday, May 11th).
The action-packed sequel is called We Will Be Strong: Thin Lizzy 76-81. A press release reads as follows:
“In the follow-up to Fighting My Way Back: Thin Lizzy 69-76, Popoff picks up the rough ‘n’ tumble Thin Lizzy saga just as the band stressed and strived for a worthy follow-up to their Jailbreak breakthrough. The result was Johnny The Fox, one of the band’s finest albums, only to be followed by a string of records that placed Lizzy amongst the most revered acts within the realm of hard rock royalty. Bad Reputation, Live And Dangerous, Black Rose, Chinatown… the band’s mid-years catalogue is undeniably superlative, and this is the story of those records inside and out.
As with Pt. 1 of the story, Martin has endeavored to provide reams of fresh interview footage to support his fresh telling of the tale, additionally stuffing the book with photography and memorabilia shots upon most every page.
Immerse yourself in Popoff’s celebrated record-by-record methodology and emerge a rejuvenated Lizzy fan, newly appreciative of the deep album tracks hiding within this singular band’s sparkling, most storied years, tracks that are still being played today by a Thin Lizzy without Phil. The boys are back in town, indeed!
The book’s 256 pages include 262 rare, archival black and white photos and memorabilia shots to accompany my usual in-depth track-by-track play-by-play type o’ crazy biog.
Fresh new interviews for this book included (and most a few times), Scott Gorham, Brian Downey, GARY MOORE, BRIAN ROBERTSON, Dave Flett, Kit Woolven, Jimmy Bain, Darren Wharton, Clive Edwards, Laurence Archer, three punks and a bunch of cool quotes from folks who toured with Lizzy, knew Phil etc. As well, historical press interviews fill out the tale as we grind through the glory years.”
