TDW is the name under which writer, composer and creator Tom de Wit releases every kind of art he makes.
Ranging from unique genre-bending music on albums like “The Antithetic Affiliation” (2017), “The Days The Clockm Stopped” (2020) and “Fountains” (2021) in the progressive metal genre, to strange YouTube coversongs in his own style, to multimedia projects like Bane of the Talebearer and the documentaries he made of multiple music festivals.
At this point in time in June 2026, the newest album under the TDW name is called “Bane of The Talebearer OST” and this is a grand musical work comprising of 73 songs that soundtrack the entire universe of Bane of the Talebearer.
Anything that has artistic merit and is made by Tom can be called TDW and that is exactly why it stands on it’s own. A multi-headed artistic endeavour that can take many shapes and sizes.
German dark rock band UNZUCHT released their new single ‘Totes Land’.
With “Totes Land”, Unzucht are releasing a single that was previously only available on the bonus CD included in the recently released “Neon Dom” fan box set, which was published by Metalville in May this year. Driven by a bone-dry riff, the lyrics paint a bleak picture of our transience. With almost frightening relevance, Unzucht captures the underlying apocalyptic mood of the times. “Nothing will remain, just an unfulfilled dream…”
With their new studio album ‘Neon Dom’, UNZUCHT herald a new era of musical darkness – without giving up the search for redeeming light.
The work combines brutal intensity with deep black emotionality, creating a soundscape that challenges, overwhelms and fascinates at the same time.
The songs lead like a controlled fall into a world permeated by shadows: carried by powerful guitars, uncompromising rhythms and the new voice of frontman Timm, who transforms pain, anger and unshakeable strength into pure energy.
‘Neon Dom’ is more than an album – it is a liberating blow. ‘Darkness is followed by light and I burn all bridges,’ says Feuerregen. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, UNZUCHT rises anew: a musical monolith that only reveals its true power when you are ready to face your own demons.
Thematically, the album explores the boundaries of human existence: inner conflicts, a battlefield of fears and the disintegration of supposed certainties – and yet the tireless search for hope in a world that is increasingly slipping away.
Neon Dom breathes darkness in all its forms — no turning back. Or: Here begins the journey into the heart of darkness — no turning back.
Created from the shards of human fragility, reforged in the fire of an unyielding will.

THE MON, the ambient/experimental solo project of Ufomammut bassist/vocalist Urlo, presents Live At Kadoc – as a free download – as well as a video of “Incantation” from the set.
Urlo has been touring in support of THE MON’s Embrace The Abandon double-album series – Songs Of Abandon and Songs Of Embrace – depicting a journey of duality: loss and surrender on one side, acceptance and rebirth on the other. Live At Kadoc was recorded live on April 2nd, 2026, at the Chapel of Our Lady of Fever (Kadoc) in Leuven, Belgium, while on tour alongside Kariti this Spring. This performance captures THE MON in its most exposed and immersive form, with Urlo performing guitar, voice, and electronics that unfold through the natural resonance of the space, turning sound into architecture and atmosphere.
More than a live album, it is a document of a singular moment, where music and place become inseparable. What remains is not merely a concert, but the memory of a space transformed by sound. The live recording was captured by Stefano Tocci and then mixed and mastered by Urlo at The Howl, Italy.
“Special thanks to Sara and Benny at Hedera Music Agency and Orange Factory for making this performance possible. And to Kariti, for sharing the road,” Urlo states.
THE MON’s Live At Kadoc is now playing exclusively at Bandcamp HERE, and the video for “Incantation” is on YouTube, below.
The album will be released on other digital platforms in a week.

NORTH SEA ECHOES – featuring progressive metal pioneers singer Ray Alder and guitarist Jim Matheos of Fates Warning – are back with a new studio album, How To Cast A Shadow, set for release on July 24th on Metal Blade Records!
On NORTH SEA ECHOES‘ critically acclaimed 2024 debut, Really Good Terrible Things, Alder and Matheos garnered rave reviews for songs that possessed, “liberating sonic space and emotional vulnerability… from somnambulant electro-fog to gritty, overdriven disquiet, to the quietly devastating (Blabbermouth).“
With this year’s How To Cast A Shadow, the band’s identity is further explored and expanded. Matheos explains, “this record is a bit heavier, with several more songs featuring real drums, played by Dennis Leeflang. It wasn’t necessarily intentional or planned, just the way things shaped up and how they emerged this time.”
Alder concurs. “[A track like] ‘I’ll Leave A Light On’ is much heavier than anything on Really Good Terrible Things. It has a darker, melancholic feel that fits well on this album. I loosely based the lyrics on a character from my favorite sci-fi series. I won’t say which, but they do use the quote ‘out there in the black.’“
From the radio-ready rock of “All That Comes After” and the intimate, escalating “A Time Of Innocence And Purpose” to the powerful, timeless ballad “Villains Or Saints,” How To Cast A Shadow cohesively crosses genres and challenges aural preconceptions.
The duo’s shared and separate histories help to forge a fresh creative opus. Alder has been the vocalist and main co-writer for prog metal heroes Fates Warning for 37 years, recording ten albums between 1988 (No Exit) and 2020 (Long Day Good Night). Rounding out his discography are seven albums with Redemption, two solo records, and the band A-Z, which debuted in 2022.
Revered guitarist and producer Matheos is a cofounder of Fates Warning, the lineup debuting with 1984’s Night On Bröcken on Metal Blade. In addition to thirteen albums with Fates Warning, Matheos launched several solo albums, four LPs alongside former Dream Theater keyboardist Kevin Moore under the name OSI, and Kings Of Mercia, which launched in 2022.
Of NORTH SEA ECHOES‘ sophomore album, the team says, “You could say that there are elements of everything we do or have done on this album, yet Fates and our various other projects are totally different types of music.” How To Cast A Shadow ups the promise of its predecessor with provocative words of hope, sorrow and consciousness, paired with Matheos’ equally emotive, varied and deeply moving guitar work.
In advance of the release, today the band unveils the lead single, “Enjoy the View.” Comments Alder, “The guitars and drums have this great drive that builds throughout the song. The combination of quiet verses and heavy choruses made me think (lyrically) of a darker side to some people. Those who would choose numbness over pain.”

Available now on all digital platforms, “Human Disease” is the new single by HOLE IN THE FRAME, released by Volcano Records.
With this new track, the Italian band delivers once again a direct, heavy, and uncompromising sound, further establishing their identity within the crossover groove metal scene. Built on sharp riffs, tight grooves, and a constant tension that recalls influences such as Pantera, Slipknot, and Korn, “Human Disease” stands out as one of the most intense and mature releases in the band’s journey so far. The single offers a raw and disillusioned vision of contemporary society, portraying humanity as a true moral and spiritual disease fueled by selfishness, violence, and indifference. Through images of suffering and loss of control, the song develops a dark yet necessary narrative, calling for collective awareness and the breaking of an increasingly rooted destructive cycle. From a production standpoint, “Human Disease” is the result of an international collaboration bridging Italy and the United States. The artistic production and arrangements were handled by Fabrizio Grossi (Alice Cooper, Slash, Joe Bonamassa), a well-established figure in the international rock scene, while mixing and mastering were completed in Italy. This transatlantic production axis gives the track a modern, powerful, and globally resonant sonic identity. The release is also accompanied by an official music video that intensifies the emotional and symbolic impact of the song: a disturbing and visually powerful representation of the protagonist’s gradual descent into the depths of his own psyche, trapped in an ever-deepening state of isolation and loneliness. An inner journey that translates the song’s sense of confusion, collapse, and alienation into images.
Active since 2015, Hole in the Frame have built a strong reputation over the years thanks to a musical language that blends groove metal, heavy, and thrash with a strong introspective and socially critical attitude. “Human Disease” marks a new chapter in the band’s evolution, reaffirming their mission: to shake consciences and reject all forms of conformity.
