Juliet’s Not Dead have released their high energy rocker ‘Sinner Or Saint‘, out now. The opening track on their new album, ‘Sinner Or Saint’ is rammed full with driving guitars and soaring melodies, a cracking and highly emotive new single from this seriously talented band and definitely one to give a spin to. Play loud!
Stevie states: “Musically, Sinner Or Saint is a high paced, powerful rock song with lots of layers. It then includes a total change of feel in the mid-section before returning to its flat out approach until the end. The song is a tale of someone questioning their own mortality asking ‘do you trust me?’ and praying to a greater being for help during this difficult time. It’s a situation I think many of us can relate to. However the song does have a total change of pace in the middle, when a realisation sets in and that person starts to see that no matter how bad it is, they can get through it, even in the throes of mission critical. We simply had to have this song open the album because ‘Am I a sinner or saint?’, is a question we often ask ourselves. Are we good? Are we bad? What is it that makes us who we are?”
“Without a weak track among the ten on offer, Juliet’s Not Dead have, at a stroke, recorded an album that is both stadium ready and radio friendly all in one package. If there were any justice in the world this band should be mentioned in the same breath as their luminaries. Outstanding.” – Fireworks magazine
Heralding from the North East, Juliet’s Not Dead are an adrenaline fuelled, driven band with the sole intention of thrilling their audiences at every show. The follow up to their critically acclaimed debut album is ready for release on 7th February 2025. If their last EP ‘Only The Strong Survive’ is anything to go by; attitude filled riffs, and a killer modern edge will be abundant. The band have again paired with Mercury prize & Grammy nominated producer Romesh Dodangoda to set about crafting something special.
Stevie Stoker spoke about ‘This World Is Ours‘, “I love this album, not only do I think it’s the best music we’ve ever written, but it was also the most enjoyable writing and recording process I’ve ever been a part of. Jack & I wrote for most of 2023. We were even recording demos while on tour around Europe. From the get-go we knew what we wanted to say with this collection of songs. As a band you come up against so many challenges and we wanted this album to reflect all of the emotions, difficult decisions, and strong bonds we’ve made over the last couple of years.
“Getting the songs ready to record for the final time is always my favourite part of the process but also one of the trickiest. We demo them fully, so every layer and part is where it should be and critique and change bits until we are happy with it. However it’s sometimes difficult to know when you’re done. Thankfully we had the right production team behind it, approaching it with a clear view of what we wanted the final result to be. Romesh (Dodangoda) and the boys at Longwave made our job easy and we literally smiled and laughed our way through it. We hope anyone who hears it will hear the joy behind the music no matter the subject.”

Night Terrors Records is proud to announce the release of “Mired in the Reek of Grief”, the debut album by Australian death-doom metallers REEKMIND, set to unleash its haunting presence on MC and LP format on March 7th, 2025.
The first single “Cavernous Creeper” is now streaming HERE.
With their peculiar blend of crushing riffs and emotionally charged atmospheres, REEKMIND takes listeners on a harrowing journey through the depths of human despair. As the band describes, “The Reekmind is a manifestation of insurmountable grief that is represented in a physical form which slowly overtakes one’s mind and causes all affected to spiral into an inescapable well of misery and mental agony.” This ethos is deeply embedded in their music, delivering an experience that is both devastatingly heavy and cathartically profound.
REEKMIND‘s debut album bridges the gap between classic death-doom foundations and atmospheric, almost transcendental elements that flirt with the introspective tones of post-metal and the visceral weight of sludge. The result is a soundscape that is both raw and expansive, embodying the essence of pure sonic catharsis.
The album’s organic production enhances its live-like authenticity, enveloping listeners in a sound that feels immediate, honest, and deeply personal. REEKMIND eschews flashy gimmicks, focusing instead on the power of the riff and constructing cohesive, expansive structures that resonate long after the final note fades.

More than ten years ago with founding Avatarium, Candlemass icon Leif Edling made the doom metal world a darker and ultimately more interesting place. Over the next years, they released two EPs, four critically acclaimed full-length records, and a live DVD, ‘An Evening With Avatarium – Live in Stockholm’. Edling eventually left Avatarium‘s ranks due to health issues, but the band forged onward, and 2022 found them capping off a prolific decade with their latest album and AFM Records debut, ‘Death, Where Is Your Sting’.
Following the much-acclaimed record release, lauded by fans and music press worldwide and numerous live appearances at prestigious festivals or on tour with acts such as Swallow The Sun, now, “Between You, God, The Devil and The Dead” sees the Swedish doom masters even double down on all expections! Produced and mixed by Marcus Jidell with a mastering by Svante Forsbäck (Candlemass, Amorphis and many more), the new album features eight captivating tracks, that showcase the band’s exceptional songwriting skills and qualities. Avatarium have evolved since their 2013 self-titled debut, and although they have always introduced new elements along the way, with their epic fusion of a doom-ladden rock sound and dark, heavy yet melancholic, poetic facets, the Swedish collective fronted by extraordinary vocalist Jennie-Ann Smith proves, why they belong to one of the most unique acts the modern heavy music scene has to offer! German progressive rockers Everon have revealed their dramatic new single “Guilty As Charged,” which is taken from ‘Shells,’ their first new album in 16 years! Shells’ will be released on 28 February via Music Theories Recordings. You can listen to “Guilty As Charged” HERE.
Talking about the new song Oliver Philipps says, “Lyrically the song is dealing with self-judgement/regrets, but even the lyrics mostly just come to mind, already while working on the music. There’s lines/phrases coming up naturally that just get stuck with a song, and in the end I just connect the dots, write it down and it’s finished. Not even I always know exactly what they’re about, some are very clear, others are more of a vibe/atmosphere that together with the music create the sphere I feel the song is supposed to have. It’s not an exact science. I am a rather rational person in normal life, but as a musician I rely 100% on intuition and inspiration. I don’t rationalize over it, because my experience is that I ruin it if I do.”
“The band never quit. It was a hiatus,” Philipps explains as he is sitting in his recording studio, talking about the new Everon Record. “Everon didn’t retire or anything, and we never even talked about it,” Philipps reasons. “I always wrote all the music and the lyrics. So that would mean if I didn’t do anything, we wouldn’t do anything. After ‘North’, it just didn’t happen.”
In December, the band announced their return after 16 years with their new song, “No Embrace.” “That made a good opening track because it is straight forward and accessible, it has a more positive energy than some of the other songs that are darker in tone or mood,” he adds about the first taster from the album.
‘Shells’, an album bristling with energy and verve, encapsulating everything that made Everon such a force to be reckoned with in the first place. With songs like the ebullient opener ‘No Embrace’ and the complex patterns of ‘Broken Angels’, the quirk of ‘Pinocchio’s Nose’ and the more heartfelt tones of ‘Monster’, or the epic 14-minute grandeur of closing track ‘Flesh’, Everon have rarely sounded so good. Defiantly old school packed full of progressive flourishes and Philipps’ innate sense of melody set the band apart from many of their peers all those years ago.
“I’ve been working as a producer with other artists through all the years,” explains Philipps, making it very clear those years away from Everon did indeed happen with his Space Lab Studio with Moschus, their drummer, working with artists such as Delain, Charlotte Wessels, progressive metallers Ad Infinitum and Wolverine, Italian progressive outfit THE ONEIRA, LEAH, Angel, and Imperia—the latter vocalists appear on the new album.
Trail of Tears, Imperia and Angel vocalist, Helena Iren Michaelsen, features on ‘Grace’, ‘Broken Angels’, ‘Guilty as Charged’, ‘Shells’ and ‘Children of The Earth’. “Helena happens to be one of my favourite singers and my favourite woman; she’s my wife. So it’s no surprise she appears on this album; it would have been weird if she didn’t,” he says.
Although a new Everon album is something to be celebrated, the road to ‘Shells’ has sadly been tainted by tragedy; during the recording, drummer Moschus died suddenly.
“It was completely out of the blue,” Philipps sighs. “He wasn’t sick or anything. He was just found dead. It was a cardiac arrest or one of these things. The reason I chose to finish the album at all was that he’d already recorded drums for eight of the songs. If it had happened half a year earlier, I wouldn’t have chosen to make an album. I’d been pondering over should I, shouldn’t I for quite some time.”
“Until We Meet Again” stands up as one of the most heart-on-sleeve songs on the album. The lyrics refer to the passing of Moschus. “This was the last song I wrote for this album, and while I was working on it, I got the news that our lifelong friend had died.”
Following Moschus’s passing, US drummer Jason Gianni entered the fray, guesting on the drum tracks that Moschus did not complete.
It’s been sixteen years and now we have ‘Shells’ – Twelve tracks of quality, highly melodic, progressively inclined rock for people to enjoy. It’s certainly good to have Everon back.
