Sacramento, USA’s progressive metal outfit Lunar is set to release the lyric video for “Spring In My Step” to offer listeners another captivating glimpse into their upcoming concept album “Tempora Mutantur”, slated for release at the end of January 2025. The new release continues the band’s exploration of seasonal metaphors and personal transformation, promising a musical journey that blends intricate progressive metal with deeply introspective storytelling. Drummer Alex Bosson comments on the single:
“One of my personal favorite songs on the album. This song is more upbeat and about the good times we feel revitalized. When you’ve made it through a rough patch in your life and realize you’ve come out the other side. This song has some really fun moments musically and, I think, is one of the more “proggy” songs on this record.”
One of the more upbeat songs on the album, “Spring In My Step” delivers an awesome main riff and continues with positive melodies throughout. The track embodies the band’s approach to songwriting—creating music that is both technically complex and emotionally accessible, inviting listeners to find their own meanings within the layers of sound and lyrical metaphor.
The lyric video, along with the rest of the album, offers an emotional listening experience. Lots of ups and downs musically and lyrically dealing with the passing of time and the effects it has on us physically and mentally. Lunar is recommended for fans of Opeth, Caligula’s Horse, and Haken.
Founded by drummer Alex Bosson(Helion Prime, Planeswalker) and Ryan Erwin who passed away in 2018, LUNAR continues in his memory. This fourth full-length “Tempora Mutantur” follows 2023’s “The Illusionist” and features a fresh lineup with the addition of guitarists Carlos Alvarez and Connor McCray (Vis Mystica) along with keyboardist Anthony Stahl plus album guests Wayne Ingram (Wildrun), Joe Gullace (Thank You Scientist) and Sam Vallen (Caligula’s Horse).
A collaboration of musical minds, and with anything LUNAR does; “Tempora Mutantur” is an emotional thematic listening experience with ups and downs musically and lyrically dealing with the passing of time and the effects it has on us physically and mentally.
“This album deals with something everyone can relate to and no one can escape: the passing of time. We get older, our perspective changes, and we gain some things, and lose others… sometimes the things and ones we love. And we struggle and fight along the way. This album deals with some of the highs and lows we deal with along this journey we all share. Hopefully, the fans will be able to resonate with it and find some solace and aid in their own experiences of time passing. I believe the songwriting has gotten stronger over the years. I think the songs are a bit more well-structured. But I think the overall sound of the band has remained pretty consistent over the years. The music is very “prog,” so it’s been diverse I think from day 1. Probably even more so now than it was at first.” adds Bosson.
Recommended for fans of Opeth, Caligula’s Horse, Haken, Tool, and Porcupine Tree, LUNAR’s“Tempora Mutantur” is due out January 31, 2025, from Saibot Reigns Records.
A studio project since first conceived in 2014, LUNAR will make its live debut next year at the 2025Hyperspace Metal Festivalin Vancouver, BC, Canada on April 11th. Info here.

James Mangold’s film “A Complete Unknown” has reignited spirited discourse about Bob Dylan, the enigmatic artist who gave voice to a generation. With Timothée Chalamet in the role of the young Dylan, the film offers a glimpse into his early career, tracing it from folk troubadour to rock poet.
Coinciding with the Searchlight Pictures release is a treasure trove of Dylan memorabilia hitting the auction block in “Celebrating Bob Dylan: The Aronowitz Archive, T Bone Burnett, & More” auction event at the Musicians Hall of Fame & Museum on January 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM CST – providing a bridge to the era the film portrays. This convergence of cinematic representation and historical artifacts invites us into an even deeper exploration of Dylan’s legacy, connecting the film’s narrative with the tangible echoes of his past.
The forthcoming auction directly connects the dots to the film through the precious items preserved in the Al Aronowitz Archive. It features 60 items, 50 of these from Aronowitz’s personal archive, including two pages containing three progressive typewritten drafts of the lyrics to “Mr. Tambourine Man” (estimate: $400,000-$600,000), an early Dylan oil painting from 1968 ($200,000-$300,000), a 1963 handbill from his first major headline performance at Town Hall in New York City ($1,500-$2,000), early vintage photographs, original sketches and much more. The auction also includes a 1983 Fender Telecaster made for and owned by Bob Dylan ($80,000-$120,000) and signed handwritten lyrics for “Blowin’ In The Wind” ($15,000-$20,000). Find a full list of items with photos and descriptions via Julien’s Auctions website. Watch the trailers for the auction HERE and HERE.
The collection offers connections to specific events and themes woven into the film’s narrative. The vintage photographs from Dylan’s 1961 recording sessions captured by the lens of Don Hunstein offer an intimate window into the nascent talent, and resonate with the film’s depiction of Dylan’s arrival in New York. Similarly, the 1962 press release bio mirrors the film’s exploration of his meteoric rise to fame and the “Blowin’ In The Wind” promo single harks back to Dylan’s emergence as a voice of social conscience, a theme that “A Complete Unknown” explores through his involvement in the Civil Rights movement.

Perhaps the most captivating item in the collection are the draft lyrics for “Mr. Tambourine Man.” These handwritten pages offer a glimpse into the alchemical process of songwriting. The film subtly alludes to the writing of this masterpiece, showcasing Dylan’s immersion in the bohemian counterculture of the time. These lyrics embody the very spirit of creative exploration that “A Complete Unknown” so beautifully captures.

Another highlight of the auction that connects the past and present is a one-of-one Ionic Original disc of Bob Dylan’s new studio recording of “The Times They Are A-Changin’” (estimate: $400,000-$600,000), from a special session with multi-Grammy winning producer T Bone Burnett. The auction marks the second public sale of an Ionic Original recording following “Blowin’ In The Wind” in 2022.
About the auction, Myles Aronowitz, son of Al, explains: “Billie Holiday, Miles Davis, Mick Jagger, Jerry Garcia, Carole King… My Father was this incredible connector. He was much more than a journalist, he understood what these artists were trying to do. He didn’t just meet these cultural icons, he brought them together. He introduced Allen Ginsberg to Bob Dylan, Bob Dylan to The Beatles. My Father was the one who turned The Beatles on for the first time. He connected Jimi Hendrix with Miles Davis, Nico with Lou Reed. He wasn’t just a writer with a powerbase as a New York columnist; Al had this unique kind of magic. He made these introductions that went on to shape culture itself. It was more than power or influence—there was something truly magical about what he did. The collection represents my Father’s instinctive ability to identify and connect with greatness. Each item is evidence of this, and how with his magic, he literally brought you into the room!”
About the Ionic Original, T Bone Burnett explains, “Hearing Bob Dylan sing ‘The Times They Are A-Changin’’ sixty years after he wrote it is a moving experience. The times, have, in fact changed, and the listener can hear the gravity and the consequence of the sixty years of life that have passed since he first wrote and recorded the song. Although Bob’s earlier version of this song is, of course, a classic recording, to my way of listening, this Ionic Original is the definitive version of this indelible song.”
“Celebrating Bob Dylan: The Aronowitz Archive, T Bone Burnett, & More” goes beyond the acquisition of memorabilia, and offers a portal into the heart of Dylan’s world. By stringing together the chords of the film’s narrative with the market debut of these tangible artifacts, we gain a profound appreciation for the artist’s transformative journey. Whether you’re a lifelong Dylan devotee or a newcomer captivated by “A Complete Unknown,” register and bid on this archive collection from Al Aronowitz that presents an unparalleled opportunity to own a piece of music history and to embark on a deeper exploration of the enigmatic legacy of Bob Dylan – one that continues to inspire and challenge us decades later.

Heavy Psychedelic Rock band GODZILLA IN THE KITCHEN announces their upcoming “The Errors Tour,” which will take place in March 2025 across selected clubs in Germany (and Belgium): “While other artists in the genre are selling out shows in large arenas, we have decided to celebrate the intimate charm of small stages – because who needs huge stadiums when you can experience the fans up close?”
Following the release of their second album “EXODUS” and their first live album “Live at Break Out” under Argonauta Records, as well as impressive performances at Wacken Open Air, the trio – consisting of guitarist Eric Patzschke, bassist Simon Ulm, and drummer Thiago Presto – is bringing their music back to the small stages of the country. “The Errors Tour” will not only celebrate the band’s evolution but also all the little “errors” and unforgettable moments that have made them who they are today.
“The Errors Tour is our ironic homage to the great successes of other artists,” says Eric Patzschke. “We want to show our fans that you can deliver a big show even in a small club – completely without pyrotechnics and giant LED walls.”
With a refreshing mix of melodic recognizability and rhythmic complexity, GODZILLA IN THE KITCHEN captivates audiences during their live performances. The metal magazine “Time for Metal” aptly describes their music: “Godzilla In The Kitchen plays music I didn’t know I needed in my life. Music that sparks the imagination. Music I would love to play myself. Proggers and stoner rockers of the world unite and join Team Godzilla. You won’t regret it.” (9/10). Time for Metal 9/10
For those still unsure, you can listen to their live album “Live at Break Out” beforehand and look forward to an unforgettable evening:

The Browning puts their unique spin on Eiffel 65’s iconic hit “Blue” (Da Ba Dee) transforming the nostalgic classic into a heavy-hitting, genre-blending masterpiece. Brutal vocals take center stage fusing The Browning‘s signature mix of metal, electronic, and industrial sounds. The remix injects pulsating energy, crushing breakdowns, and futuristic vibes, from serene to chaos, it’s “Blue” like you’ve never heard it before.
The Browning is an electronic metal band founded by Jonny McBee as a solo project in 2005. In 2010 The Browning transitioned into a full band and has toured the world with bands such as Electric Callboy, Static X, Fear Factory, and We Came As Romans. They’ve put out two EPs Standing On The Edge EP (2010), Time Will Tell EP (2011), and five albums, Burn This World (2011) Hypernova (2013), Isolation (2016), Geist (2018), and End Of Existence (2021). The Browning‘s current lineup is Jonny McBee and Hardcore Keem. The Browning has consistently pushed the boundaries of music, fusing genres and redefining heavy sounds. The band’s new line-up sets the stage for an electrifying chapter in their journey.
In 2011 on their full-length debut Burn This World, The Browning expanded the boundaries of heavy music through a seamless fusion of industrial, electronic, rock, and metal. In 2013 Hypernova represented a high watermark for the band. Named ‘Album of the Week’ by Revolver, it yielded the signature anthem “Bloodlust,” which clocked over 2.6 million views and nearly 2 million streams. In 2016, they reached another level with Isolation, earning acclaim from outlets such as New Noise Magazine and generating millions of views between “Dragon” and “Disconnect.” The fourth full-length album, Geist, released in 2018, would push The Browning even further into the boundaries of heavy music with added deathcore and techno influences. End Of Existence released in 2021 would go on to receive generally positive reviews with Dom Lawson of Blabbermouth.net saying, “As ever, if the idea of metal mixed with EDM gives you violent facial tics and a sense of impending doom, End of Existence makes no attempt to make amends or win you over. And nor should it. The Browning have spent a decade pursuing an eccentric and polarizing path, and they still sound like a flash of inspiration brought to life.”
The Browning officially signed to FiXT in late 2023, after collaborating with the label for several years, creating two official remixes for Celldweller and signing a merchandise deal. The band has since released three well received singles with the FiXT. “Poison” which scored placements on Pandora’s AMP: Fresh Cuts, Industrial Metal, New Metal, This year In Metal, New Metal Now; Spotify’s All New Metal,, as well as featured on the WWE. The single currently sits on over 1.5 million streams alone on Spotify since its release. “HIVEMIND” would go on to score placements on Spotify’s All New Metal, New Flesh (Knotfest), and The Core, as well as VEVO’s Incoming Metal. “Deceiver” hit Pandora’s New Metal Now, New Metal (Station), This Year In Metal; Deezer’s Killed By Metal, Deathcore, and Metal Radar, and; Spotify’s All New Metal. Their sixth full length album OMNI is set to hit the airwaves in November 2024
Jonny McBee, vocalist, and songwriter for The Browning, is a trailblazing presence in the metal scene. He is also known for his role as the host and operator of the “Burn This World Podcast,” which is set to make its triumphant return this Fall. He also streams in The Browning Discord channel with fans tuning in to watch his creative process. Jonny is set to embark on a parallel journey, launching a groundbreaking new side project: The Defect.
Hardcore Keem, the band’s guitarist, brings his unique vision and sound to The Browning. Originally just a fan of the band, he officially joined The Browning on tour in 2022, now becoming a staple for the band’s future and marketing. Besides being in the band, he’s also a heavy music influencer and promoter with over 300K in social reach, including 100K+ followers on Instagram alone, and runs his own podcast, The Hardcore Keem Show.
