Irish guitarist and composer Mó Sheerin, widely celebrated for her work with the Progressive Metal bandNebularis, unveils her debut solo single, “Strings Attached”.

About Mó Sheerin Mó Sheerin is an Irish guitarist and composer originally from County Fermanagh, but has been based in County Dublin for the last 8 years. Best known for her role in Scifi/Cinematic Metal band, Nebularis, her technical skill and powerful stage presence have made her a standout figure in the Irish Metal scene. “Strings Attached” marks her debut as a solo artist, revealing a new, introspective side of her artistry.
With inspirations drawn from the Pat Metheny Group, Joni Mitchell and Bonnie Raitt, to name a few, Mó brings forth a delicate, eclectic style of progressions in her songwriting.
Being involved in the local Rock/Blues/Metal scene for a long time, providing her guitar and synth compositions to both Irish metal bands like Witchkicker and, Nebůlaris, her solo endeavour with her upcoming album, “The Tangled Woods”, brings audiences down a long and winding path to a deeper, mysterious and acoustic guitar-dominated style of songs – as seen in her debut single ahead of the album titled “Strings Attached“.
Italy’s cult heavy rock band DEATH SS will release their new studio album “The Entity” early next year. The concept album was produced by mastermind and frontman Steve Sylvester along with the English Grammy winner producer Tom Dalgety (Rammstein, Ghost, The Cult, a.o.).
The literary inspirations of the 12-song opus range from Aleister Crowley, who seeks to liberate man by awakening his artistic genius, to the characters of writers James Hogg and Robert Louis Stevenson, who explore the dark side of mankind. It also includes figures such as Jack the Ripper, Walter Sickert, Cemetery and others, ultimately linking to the band’s history.
The album will be preceded by four digital singles, released not only digitally but also as 12’ “Limited Deluxe” version.
The first single ‘Dr. Jeckyll & Sister Hyde’ is a powerful dark metal song in pure DEATH SS style, which ironically quotes the 1971 Hammer Production film of the same name. As in the film and the song’s amusing promotional video clip, the story is set in late 19th century London, where Dr. Jekyll, the famous character from Gothic fiction created by the writer Robert Louis Stevenson, gives life to his evil alter-ego Hyde, who however in this case is a woman.

Dutch melodic death metal outfit DREADMASK has joined forces with the prestigious Wormholedeath label and unleashes their debut EP, “Thy Prime Dread,” today on all digital platforms! Prepare to be immersed in a sonic journey of raw emotion, fear, and unrelenting energy.
In early 2023, a spark ignited the flames of Dreadmask, a melodic death metal band based in Eindhoven, with members originating from Greece, Hungary, and The Netherlands. Fuelled by their shared passion for meaningful heavy music, Dreadmask wasted no time in making their mark on the scene. After each member had taken a break from previous bands, John Kourentas, Elger van Delft and Antonis Mougiakakos initiated the band’s first incarnation. The group was settled when Zoltán Herczog came aboard in the summer of 2023. Dreadmask, derived from the fusion of ‘dread’ and ‘mask,’ embodies the essence of fear and concealment.
While ‘dread’ signifies the haunting grip of anxiety, ‘mask’ alludes to the veils we arise to shield our vulnerabilities. On the journey of playing the game of societal norms, we encounter our ‘Prime Dread’—our deepest fears.
Each member of Dreadmask brings their unique musical influences to the forefront, encompassing Swedish death metal riffs, growling vocals, soaring melodies, progressive metal nuances, and black metal-inspired melancholy.
The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara (TCOMAS)‘snew album Originsis here. The album launches today with the official music video for the focus track “Per Astra”, a song about yearning to be reunified with someone who is no longer around. “I lost someone very dear to me recently,” Daphne Ang explains.” I sought solace in my piano and wrote “Per Astra” in my darkest moments of grief.”
Speaking about the new album, Daphne Ang and Andrea Papi shared, “This album is deeply personal. It is written from the heart, and with emotion and feeling. It is for the people who are still here, and for those who are now gone.”
Over the course of this year, the duo have released singles and music videos from their third studio album album: “Mysterium Tremendum” a blend of death metal, classical music and poetry; “Feed the Beast”, a progressive rock and metal anthem about addiction and recovery; “Bite the Bullet”, a hip-hop/metal song featuring UK-based Italian rapper, Mr Meuri; “It goes”, and most recently, “Waves”. Many singles scored placements in various editorial playlists, including Apple Music’s Breaking Hard Rock, New in Rock, New in Alternative, and Amazon Music’s Fresh Metal. Five tracks from the new album each have an accompanying official music video, all produced by Ang and Papi under their visual and video production entity, TCOMAS Studio.
On the making of the video for “Per Astra”, Daphne Ang and Andrea Papishared: “We wanted to show in the video that a person doesn’t disappear just because they have died. Their essence lingers in every place they once graced. Like a droplet of water, they permeate the oceans, greenery, trees, and blossoms. They continue to walk among us, in every corner of the earth, and through the boundless universe we share, we will remain forever connected and intertwined.”
Always evolving, Origins continues The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara’s impressive streak of self-produced efforts, Full Spectrum and Trust No Leaders, and will be the duo’s third self-produced studio album since Singapore-born Daphne Ang and Andrea Papi of Italy came together as The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara in London in early 2020.
Reflecting on the album’s creation, Daphne Ang shared, “We wanted to focus more on using our voice as an instrument.Our album chronicles our individual experiences and deepest emotions. It also celebrates our shared journey in life together.”
“You’ll find many unexpected twists and turns throughout the album”, Andrea Papi added. “Such is the chaos and unpredictability of life.”
The unified sound of the TCOMAS project highlights the partnership between Daphne Ang and Andrea Papi, who both provide vocals, music, and lyrics. Ang plays the piano and keyboards, while Papi plays the electric guitar and bass, handles the drum programming as well as producing all their work.
The album was recorded and produced by TCOMAS Studio, with mixing and mastering done byErgosphere Studios. Additionally, the artwork for the new record, Origins, showcases original paintings by the duo. Ang and Papi explained, “The artwork for this album features paintings done by us. Our music is the reflection of our paintings, and vice versa.”
The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara (TCOMAS) was born in London when Daphne Ang from Singapore and Andrea Papi from Italy joined forces in early 2020 to form the dynamic duo. TCOMAS introduced their innovative sound in their first album, Full Spectrum, an eclectic blend of heavy rock and electronic with poetry performance, most notably with “Love in the Time of Pestilence”, which graced several editorial Spotify playlists (Alternative Metal, Progressive Metal). TCOMAS became known for melding heavy music with the elegance of poetry and poignant lyrics on their second album, Trust No Leaders, which was released in July 2022. The duo of Nick Feldman and Jack Hues came out of the post-punk/new wave scene in the UK, and went on to achieve global success selling millions of records.
