French doom metallers THE BOTTLE DOOM LAZY BAND have unleashed a first taste of their highly anticipated album, “Clans Of The Alphane Moon”, set to release on November 1 through Sleeping Church Records. The band’s latest single, ‘Crawling End’, was released today, offering a glimpse into the sonic journey awaiting listeners.
Exploring the thematic depths of their creative process, the band offers insight into the album’s inspiration: “For this album, we embarked on a conceptual delirium inspired by 1960s and 70s sci-fi culture, reminiscent of ‘Metal Hurlant.’ Featuring recurring riffs and unsettling leitmotifs connecting each track, Ben’s lyrics and the captivating artwork by our friend Tetar embody a space-age SF atmosphere. After a five-year journey of combining heavy riffs with psychedelic space elements, ‘Clans Of The Alphane Moon’ is a fusion of our musical evolution and influences.“
The album was meticulously recorded, mixed, and mastered by Guyome (Guillaume Béry) at The Cripple Room in France. The mesmerizing artwork, skillfully crafted by Tetar (CHILDREN OF DOOM), was brought to life by Tos (BARABBAS, PRESUMPTION).
“Clans Of The Alphane Moon” is now available for pre-order at THIS LOCATION and will be officially released on November 1 via Sleeping Church Records.

Black Stone Cherry and Mascot Records have announced the release of a new version of the band’s global hit “Out Of Pocket.” The recording features Jesse Leach from Killswitch Engage. The band shares, “We have been fans of Killswitch Engage since we can remember. Having Jesse be a part of one of our songs, bringing his intensity and passion, has truly made this a special moment in our sonic journey.” You can watch the video HERE.
Jesse Leach offers, “I’d always appreciated the Black Stone guys as good humans and songwriters. However, when I finally saw them live it all clicked for me! They are a great live band, and I am definitely a fan after seeing their show! Being asked to jump on this track was such an honor and a pleasure as well! It’s a damn good rock n roll song!”
The band have just completed a tour in the U.S. with Clutch and Rival Sons and the song is released ahead of the bands’ October – November European headline tour which begins on 29 in Berlin, Germany and calls through Luxembourg, The Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium and the UK, finishing on 23 November in London. Talking about the tour they said, “Our beloved Cherry Heads in Europe, we have seen your comments and read all of your messages which have kept us feelin’ fuzzy since the last time we saw you. With that said, it’s been too damn long, and we can’t wait to come back for a full headline tour in October and November!! We look forward to seeing your faces and hearing your voices! Let’s goo!!”
The original recording of “Out of Pocket” has been streamed five million times, while cumulative plays of Screaming At The Sky’s repertoire across all DSPs now exceeds 25 million total streams. Total streams for the songs on Human Condition now exceed 80 million plays.
Early in 2023, the band revealed the song, kicking the door open into a new year. They were about to stage an arena tour of the U.K. and Europe, and this song served as the follow-up to the juggernaut that was their prior studio album 2020’s The Human Condition. Emotionally rousing with a roof-raising battle cry chorus, it showcases the band at their anthemic best. It also served to mark the significant moment of bassist Steve Jewell’s first studio recording with the band. Prior, he spent a couple of years as the touring bassist joining lifelong friends Chris Robertson, vocals/guitar; Ben Wells, guitar/vocals; and John Fred Young, drums.
At the time of release, Chris Robertson shared, “’Out of Pocket’ is a song born out of that exact feeling. The song was what I personally, and I think a lot of us, felt over these very trying last couple of years. Facing your demons, knowing that you have to come out the other side stronger than before.”
The album, Screamin’ At The Sky, features all-new material written collaboratively while the band was on tour. When it came time to record, BSC tried something they’ve always dreamed of doing: tracking an album at The Plaza Theater in Glasgow, Kentucky – a legendary 1020-seat venue built in 1934 that boasts meticulous acoustics. In June of 2022, they rented the whole place, brought in all its recording equipment and trusty engineer, Jordan Westfall. They set up the basement as the control room and the stage as the live drum room.

FELLOWSHIP have released “Dawnbreaker”, first single taken from the new album “The Skies Above Eternity” to be released on November 22nd by Scarlet Records. PRE-ORDER/PRE-SAVE
“Dawnbreaker” is a song of rebellion and the desire for freedom, carrying a beat that infects listeners with hope, drive, and ambition. Everyone has times where we feel like the world is completely dark; where neither light nor sound can get through the walls we put up to protect ourselves, or hide within. If we stay in the dark long enough, our eyes adapt and our pupils grow – we end up with ‘iron eyes’, all black, and hungry for any trace of light that finds its way into our dark worlds.

Fellowship was the absolute power metal revelation of 2022 with their magnificent debut album “The Saberlight Chronicles”; after successfully bringing their positive vibes live in Europe and Japan, and hitting the American stage for the first time as headliners of the Mad With Power Fest on August 2nd, the English band is now ready to take things to the next level with their sophomore record.
“The Skies Above Eternity” is a journey into a new side of the Fellowship sound: darker, and more dynamic, but still retaining their classic sense of joy, this album tells a new story that delves into a deeper sense of melancholy with themes of helplessness and resistance, asks us to find joy in the darkest of places through its uplifting, powerful choruses, and reminds us that with each new day comes new hope – because sometimes all it takes to find it is looking up at the skies above you.
Drawing additional influence from Japanese power metal and delivering non-stop bangers from start to finish, this might just be the work that catapults Fellowship all the way up to the stars!
“The Skies Above Eternity” tracklist:
1 Hold Up Your Hearts (Again) 2 Victim 3 The Bitter Winds 4 Dawnbreaker 5 Eternity 6 King Of Nothing 7 World End Slowly 8 A New Hope 9 Memories On The Wind

Joliet, IL death metal quartet MOLDER has shared a new song, titled Frothing, from their upcoming third album, Catastrophic Reconfiguration, due out on Prosthetic Records on November 8. Frothing boasts a guest vocal feature from long-running Chicago, IL death metal band Cianide’s Scott Carroll, making MOLDER‘s latest single a distinctly Illinois affair.
Speaking on the new single, Aaren Pantke (vocals / guitar) comments: “Arguably my favorite song on the record. If someone were to ask “what we’re all about?” This is the one I’d show them. It’s got everything; thrash, death, crust, doom etc. It even has Scott Carroll of Cianide doing guests vocals during the “meltdown”. It’s one of our most rabid tracks, period. For fans of losing your damn mind.”
The writing process for Catastrophic Reconfiguration included guitarist Carlos Santini for the first time, who brought more of a rounded and dynamic sound to the fold. Despite the new addition, finding time to write was the biggest challenge for the band, mainly due to their rigorous rehearsing and touring schedule for Engrossed, which included runs with Exhumed, Enforced, Jungle Rot and Fulci on top of festival appearances including Maryland Death Fest, Milwaukee Metalfest and Volcanic Strike Hawaii in Maui, to name a few. “Respect to those that tour full time, hold down jobs, and still find the time to be inspired enough to get it done!” remarks Pantke. “That said, we did get it done, it just took a little bit longer than we’d have liked! Once the ball got rolling, it stayed rolling”
Part of the refining of the new album meant going back to a more DIY approach to recording, with this time being done mainly at home with recording engineer, Matt Aguilar. Tracking in our basements injected a vigorous feeling back to the band. “Everyone annihilated their tracks in a matter of hours! Which for us is unheard of,” says Pantke. “This was easily the most prepared and comfortable we’ve ever been while cutting a record, and we owe a lot of that comfort to Matt.” The only setback the band faced was when Pantke broke his nose in an unfortunate incident right before he was set to record his vocals. Once completely healed, he nailed his takes and the tracks were sent off to Greg Wilkinson (Autopsy) at Ear Hammer Studios for mixing and mastering. “Greg was incredibly professional and a joy to work with. It was incredible working with someone so prestigious who so understood what it was we wanted to achieve. Total respect and absolute support to him!” exclaimed Pantke.
The resulting 10 tracks don’t stray too far from the band’s oozing, blistering sound. As usual, it’s chock full of Pantke’s riffs and agonized howls, but that’s not all. It still includes nauseating bass runs from Dominic Vaia, pounding drum performance from Kyle Pooley and mind melting leads from Carlos Santini. Proving their dynamics as a band haven’t deteriorated but have just been given more life. “You can still expect this to be a Molder record,” states Pantke. “Just musically and sonically better than the last! We simply wanted a shorter, nastier, and more professional sounding record than what we’ve done before.”
For the art, which has always been arranged by Pooley, he brought Mexican oil painter, Julian Felipe Mora Ibañez to the group, which they all agreed would be perfect. “The art concept for this record sort of follows the same as Engrossed in Decay, but this time rather than a death through decay, it’s a rebirth in it,” remarked Pantke. “We wanted it to pay homage to the works of Mental Funeral or Dark Recollections, amongst other things of course, but those two references definitely shine through on this particular piece. As far as colors go, we really wanted it to by a nice companion piece to the last record, without completely repeating it.”
Catastrophic Reconfiguration tracklist: 1. Catastrophic Reconfiguration 2. Pulped 3. Overdue Burial 4. Frothing 5. Masked in Mold 6. Bursted Innards 7. Rapidly Exsanguinated 8. Corpse Copulation 9. Brain Boil 10. Nothing Left to Ooze
