A landmark piece of Italian extreme metal history returns in its most complete form yet, as F.O.A.D. Records proudly present the definitive SCHIZO demo collection, now available in a new expanded edition.
New version with a cover and insert in different colors than the previous edition.
The most exhaustive SCHIZO demo collection you can dream of. One LP, one 7″ inch and one CD all in one package, housed in a thick gatefold sleeve with a poster-sized foldout insert full of rare photos, and ‘zine excerpts.. a true work of heart just like every F.O.A.D. release!
This collection compiles all the band’s recordings before their killer “Main Frame Collapse” debut full length (1989), for a total of 20 songs from one of the most deranged, fast and original extreme metal acts of the 1980s Italian scene. Alongside the early work of their brothers-in-mayhem Necrodeath, these recordings represent some of the very first examples of hyper-speed driven death/thrash from Italy—put simply, among the earliest blast beats ever unleashed on Italian metal territory.
Contents:
“T.T.U.T.T.K. [Thrash The Unthrashable, Thrash To Kill]” Demo (1985)
All material has been mastered from the best sounding 1st generation sources provided and approved by the band.
This release documents the band’s evolution from nihilistic thrashing hardcore roots to the sadistic, nerve-ripping sonic torment of the cult “Total Schizophrenia” era (famously cited by Max Cavalera as one of the inspirations behind Sepultura’s “Schizophrenia” title).
A true monster of archival extreme metal. Essential listening for fans of ultra-fast thrash in the vein of Wehrmacht, early Sadus, Merciless and Sarcófago.
Hard rock veterans Spread Eagle have unleashed a new single, “Flat Earth Vultures”, along with an official video, ahead of the release of their new album “The Brutal Divine”, out on June 12, 2026, via Frontiers Music Srl.
Spread Eagle are currently on the road on “The Brutal Divine Tour 2026”, with dates across the US, and in UK and Europe throughout the summer. For the full list of dates, please see below and HERE.
The band said: “If there ever was a guitar riff that defines what street metal is, we’d say it’s “Flat Earth Vultures”. Combined with an interesting lyrical observation on how the rich are making clowns of the rest of us, the track is an instant Spread Eagle classic”.
“The Brutal Divine” is Spread Eagle’s long-awaited fourth studio album and a fierce new chapter in the band’s uncompromising legacy. Known for their raw energy, streetwise attitude, and explosive live performances, they once again prove why they remain a vital force in modern hard rock.
The band described the new record as “an emotionally and musically heavy body of songs showcasing a unique command of power, dynamics and melody. We have harnessed the energy of years of non-stop touring and turned it into a metal/punk thrill ride of an album”.
“Lyrically, “The Brutal Divine” challenges us to question our views and ask if we’re truly as free thinking as we may believe. Once that question is posed, the album progresses towards uplifting messages of hope and community”, they continued.
Fronted by the unmistakable voice of Ray West, the band delivers a powerful collection of songs that balance grit and melody, aggression and soul. Guitarist Gianmaria “Jommy” Puledda injects the record with razor-sharp riffs and soaring harmonies, while Rob De Luca (bass, vocals) and Rik De Luca (drums) form a thunderous rhythmic backbone that drives every track with authority and groove.
Produced by Rob De Luca, “The Brutal Divine” captures the band at their most focused and dynamic – blending their classic hard rock roots with a darker, heavier edge. The album channels the intensity and authenticity that first put Spread Eagle on the map, while showcasing a band that continues to evolve without losing its identity.
With a full slate of live dates planned in support of the release, Spread Eagle are ready to bring “The Brutal Divine” to stages around the world – where their music truly comes alive. This is hard rock delivered with conviction, attitude, and fire.

Spanish melodic death metal band BLOODHUNTER have revealed new details on their hotly-anticipated studio album, entitled “Sons Of The Abandoned”, that is set for release on June 12, 2026 via ROAR – A Division Of Reigning Phoenix Music. Pre-orders have started today.
Accompanying the album announcement, BLOODHUNTER step it up with the release of a music video for their latest single “Threshold Of Hell”, featuring Fernando Ribeiro of Portuguese dark metal legends MOONSPELL! Leaning on crushing riffs, a commanding groove, brutal vocals and a dense, shadowy atmosphere, the track is elevated by Ribeiro’s unmistakable voice, adding depth and gravitas.
Guitarist Dani Arcos comments:“I think it’s the most complete song on the album. We worked really hard on it, both musically and in terms of sound effects, the collaboration with Fernando Ribeiro… and it also has a great groove.”
Vocalist Diva Satanica adds:“It’s an anti-war song that dissects the mysteries of human behaviour and how it seems we didn’t evolve at all, making the same mistakes of the past. We wanted to emphasize this contradiction of being an anti-war song but using the typical sounds in this context, so we created our own military march shaking some spoons inside of a cooking pot (there is even a video of us recording it).”
“Bloodhunter is an insanely talented band hailing from our neighboring country Spain,”Fernando Ribeiro comments. “I feel very humbled for the invite and always love to collaborate with great bands, that will rule the future! Threshold Of Hell offers important visual messages too, and defines where we are right now with all conflicts and hate around. Go check them, wolf hugz to all of you!”
Formed in Galicia, BLOODHUNTER have steadily carved their name into the international extreme metal scene through relentless touring, uncompromising sound and a clear artistic vision. Fronted by Diva Satanica, the band blends extreme metal aggression with melodic depth, groove and narrative ambition, forging a sound that is both ferocious and emotionally charged.
Since their inception, BLOODHUNTER have stood out for their conceptual approach and strong identity. Their music has always balanced brutality with atmosphere, drawing from themes such as ancient civilizations, power, human conflict and transcendence. Over the years, the band has evolved naturally, refining their songwriting and pushing beyond genre boundaries without losing their aggressive core.
“Sons Of The Abandoned”, produced by Tue Madsen, marks a turning point in BLOODHUNTER’s career. It is their most personal and honest album so far, shifting the focus inward to explore identity, vulnerability, personal struggle and the cost of pursuing one’s own path. For the first time, the lyrics speak directly from the heart, addressing inner demons, toxic environments, generational disconnection and the feeling of being lost in a world driven by individuality and superficial values. Musically, the album expands the band’s palette. Crushing riffs coexist with elegant grooves and striking melodic passages, while sharp contrasts define the songwriting: rage against beauty, speed against atmosphere, darkness against clarity.
With “Sons Of The Abandoned”, BLOODHUNTER solidify themselves as a band unafraid to evolve, challenge expectations and expose their own scars. This is not just another extreme metal album, it is a statement of identity, resistance and survival in a world that constantly demands compromise.
Swedish melodic rock force THE DEVIL WEARS NADA proudly announces the release of their new single ‘Elephant In The Room‘ on 24th April. In conjunction with the single are details of their highly anticipated sophomore album, ‘In Lust We Thrust’, arriving on CD and limited-edition coloured vinyl via Eönian Records on Friday, July 3, 2026. Pre-orders will launch in late spring at www.eonianrecords.com.
Swedish rock band The Devil Wears Nada return with their new single “Elephant in the Room”, a bold and emotionally charged power ballad that blends 80s nostalgia with modern melodic rock production. Co-written by the band alongside Sampsa Astala – best known as a former member of Finnish rock giants Lordi and co-winner of the Eurovision Song Contest – the track marks a significant moment in the band’s creative journey. The collaboration brings together cinematic songwriting, strong melodic hooks, and a sense of grandeur inspired by the golden era of pop-rock.
Drawing inspiration from classic acts like Roxette, “Elephant in the Room” aims to capture the spirit of the 80s dancefloor while adding a contemporary edge. “This is a song that makes you feel like you’ve been transported straight back to an 80s dancefloor,” says guitarist Henrik. “There’s something about the melody and atmosphere that just pulls you into that world.” Ludvig adds: “We really wanted to create something that gives you that nostalgic rush – like a flashback to a time none of us actually lived through. We’re all 90s kids, but there’s something magical about that era that we wanted to bring back.” The collaboration with Astala also highlights the band’s ambition and direction moving forward: “Working with Sampsa has been an incredible experience. Being able to write with someone who’s been part of Eurovision history and a band like Lordi is both inspiring and surreal. This track is just a taste of what’s to come.”
“Elephant in the Room” serves as the next glimpse into the band’s upcoming album, set for release on July 3rd – a record that promises bigger hooks, bigger emotions, and an even more expansive sound. With this release, The Devil Wears Nada continue to establish themselves as a rising force in melodic rock, blending nostalgia with a fresh and modern identity. — For fans of: Roxette, 80s pop-rock, melodic rock, cinematic power ballads
Scandinavia has long been a breeding ground for world-class melodic rock and AOR, and from Falköping, Sweden, THE DEVIL WEARS NADA emerges as a formidable new torchbearer of that tradition. Rooted in the golden era of melodic hard rock, from the mid-1980s through the early 1990s, the band fuses nostalgic grandeur with a dramatic, contemporary edge. Drawing theatrical inspiration from icons such as Alice Cooper, Ghost, and Lordi, they seamlessly merge arena-ready Scandinavian melodies with horror aesthetics and vintage hard rock energy.
Their debut album, Postalgia,on Eönian Records, earned global acclaim for its signature blend of cinematic flair, soaring vocal lines, and hook-laden choruses. Initially released under the name ‘Adecence’ in an ultra-limited pressing of just 100 CDs, the album quickly became a coveted collector’s item. Reintroduced and remastered under THE DEVIL WEARS NADA, the album featured two new studio recordings, a high-octane cover of “1989” by fellow Swedish rockers Nestor, and expanded deluxe packaging; the release became one of Eönian Records’ best-selling titles.
With upcoming album ‘In Lust We Thrust’, THE DEVIL WEARS NADA hope to shatter expectations and raise their creative bar to towering new heights. Fans of Nestor, Da Vinci, 220 Volt, and FM will recognize the soaring hooks, polished harmonies, and arena-sized ambition that define classic Scandinavian melodic rock. Yet this is far more than a nostalgic revival, it’s a bold reawakening.
Brimming with explosive choruses, cinematic atmosphere, and razor-sharp modern production, ‘In Lust We Thrust’ plans to deliver a revitalized, high-impact vision of the genre, poised to captivate longtime ’80s hard rock and glam metal loyalists and ignite a new generation of melodic rock devotees alike.
Guitarist Henrik Westergren describes the band’s sound, “Take the raw pulse of the ’70s, ’80s hard rock and glam metal, and mix it with our fascination for the macabre and the dramatic, that’s where THE DEVIL WEARS NADA lives.” “It’s Ludvig’s songwriting sensibility mixed with our collective love for the bizarre and dramatic,” Westergren adds. “It creates something that’s both familiar and unsettling; in the best way possible.“ He concludes: “If you’re reading this, thank you, for taking the time to listen, and hopefully for supporting this album built from blood, sweat, and countless hours of passion. Let’s keep the spirit of melodic rock alive and loud. THE DEVIL WEARS NADA is just getting started.”

After numerous world tours, ten full length albums, and globally recognized acclaim, unstoppable groove metal legends DEVILDRIVER remain full speed ahead in their second decade of decimation. Today, the band announces their explosive eleventh full length, Strike and Kill, out July 10, 2026 via Napalm Records. With the all star lineup of frontman and mastermind Dez Fafara, virtuoso guitar duo of Alex Lee and Gabe Mangold, eruptive drummer Davier Ortega Perez, and the return of founding bass legend Jon Miller, Strike and Kill sees DEVILDRIVER return to their carnivorous origin, reigniting the incendiary sound that founded their legacy, a must listen for all fans of the genre.
Dez Fafara on Strike and Kill: “My headspace hasn’t changed, I have not become complacent or soft in my view of the world or in my music. Metal is our outlet as listeners and writers, so on this record we focused on ‘getting it all out’ lyrically, and backing those lyrics with savage, relentless music that fuels the heavy California groove like no other. DEVILDRIVER has never sounded like any other band, we do our own thing in our own way, and I’m the most proud of that.
“I’m so proud of these musicians, this music, and the vibe around this record. DevilDriver sounds like no one else out there right now, we are here to Strike and Kill!”
Alongside today’s announcement, they unleash the fierce album opener upon the masses. Debuting yesterday on SXM’s Liquid Metal, “Dig Your Own Grave”, is a vitriolic onslaught of machine gun riffs and uncompromising aggression, lyrically lambasting fools responsible for their own undesirable fates. Full of piss and vinegar, this is DEVILDRIVER at maximum ferocity, giving listeners just a taste of the unspeakable carnage waiting within Strike and Kill.
About the track, band mastermind Dez Fafara states: “‘Dig Your Own Grave’ is about how one wrong decision, one wrong move can see your whole world turned upside down, effectively ‘digging’ your own grave… it’s that simple.
“It can also refer to how your decisions can fuck someone else. This is why there’s the line ‘six feet ain’t deep enough for you’, because only a deep, deep hole is fitting for what you’ve done or tried to do to others. Be careful when you choose to make decisions at midnight.”
Following DEVILDRIVER’s career defining double album Dealing With Demons Vols. 1 & 2—with Vol. 1 sitting at #1 at metal radio for a triumphant 15 weeks, and Vol. 2 celebrated by internationally revered media like Metal Injection, Kerrang!, and Blabbermouth, who lauded “you can’t stop the unstoppable”—the band sets out on a rabid hunt with Strike and Kill, holding the blade to your throat, and serving up that trademark DEVILDRIVER blend of melodeath elegance, blackened atmosphere, tectonic grooves, and Fafara’s iconic visceral delivery.
Wasting no time, the album bursts open with the incendiary “Dig Your Own Grave”, a flurry of assault rifle kicks and crunchy riffs encircle the listener casting them into the waiting abyss before transitioning into “Dead in the Water”, showcasing the vibrant melodeath tapestries of master guitar duo Alex Lee and Gabe Mangold. “Sanctified In Scars” implements industrial pulsating beats and ethereal sonic textures, sanctifying Fafara’s venomous voice with blackened tremolo excellence. The album’s title track “Strike and Kill” is a reconciliation of hardships and lessons learned, built upon the backs of blisteringly technical riffage and dizzyingly swift drumming by Davier Perez. Tracks like “In the Moonlight” and “Never Coming Home” wrap listeners in serenely blissful guitarmonies, elevating the brutality with elegance and emotion. “Ride or Die” unleashes pure metal inertia, pulling listeners in with unrelenting force. Exemplifying their technical edge with tracks like “Headed for the Fall” and “You’re just a Ghost”, the band embraces mindbendingly off-kilter patterns that spin listeners’ heads. “Summoning Shadows” offers the albums longest respite from carnage, with textured acoustic guitars building tension before the band comes crashing back in with triumphant power. “Shut the Silence On” and “Oath of Iron” get super thrashy with their ballsy riffage and blast beats, before “All Bets are Off” brings things to a cataclysmic conclusion.
Strike and Kill Tracklisting: 1 Dig Your Own Grave 2 Dead in the Water 3 Sanctified In Scars 4 Strike and Kill 5 In the Moonlight 6 Ride or Die 7 Headed for the Fall 8 Shut the Silence On 9 Never Coming Home 10 Summoning Shadows 11 You’re just a Ghost 12 Oath of Iron 13 All Bets are Off

It’s a shade over 40 years since The Hangmen first erected their gallows above the LA skyline, and 16 years since The Big Takeover remarked of their resilience, “Bruised and scuffed through years of debauchery, Bryan Small’s Hangmen continue to cheat death in a rock n’ roll world full of bands all too willing to pull the trigger on themselves and fade away.”
Not that The Hangmen themselves haven’t occasionally disappeared into the shadows. On a high after releasing their self-titled major label debut in 1989, The Hangmen returned to the studio with producer Rob Younger (Radio Birdman), only for their label at the time, Geffen, to can it. The album remains unreleased to this day.
The Hangmen returned to action in 2000 and, since then, seven stunning new albums have swung into view, among them the cheekily-titled Metallic IOU (2000), the glorious We’ve Got Blood On The Toes Of Our Boots (2002), and In The City, exquisitely produced by Mike Ness (Social Distortion). Their last full-lengther, Stories To Tell, was released in 2023.
Still lining up as Smalls (vocals, guitar), long-time co-conspirators Jimmy James (guitar) and Angelique Congleton (bass) and relative newcomer Jorge E. Disguster (drums), The Hangmen’s glorious swagger and edge-of-your-pants sense of drama remains one of the indisputable seven wonders of the modern world, and “Real Blues” captures both their classic sound and their relentless drive for the future.
And wait until you see the video, shot in downtown LA and directed by the SNORRI BROS. Film noir meets sizzling electrification, it’s the ride of an urban lifetime, and a story in its own right.
As the band explain, “‘Real Blues’ touches on many different types of struggles and varies from person to person. Everyone has some kind of blues they deal with. The song touches on a few that are in the zeitgeist at the moment from living on the streets, loneliness, crime to media divide us apart.”
But, of course, it’s also great fun, an anytime-of-day call to arms for everyone who got up on the wrong side of the modern world, and an early taste, too, of the the new album that the Hangmen are now hard at work on.
In the meantime, they also have a European tour getting underway in Paris on April 22.
