Century Media Records is excited to announce the signing of the U.K.’s Love Is Noise. Soft Glow is a first taste of Love Is Noise reaching for a plane beyond loud and quiet, the sound of a band indulging in its harshest and most gentle impulses.
Love Is Noise began its journey in 2021 as a collaboration between Humphrey and guitarist Tom Mellon balancing the ethereal and intense. While sonic signposts include modern day shoegaze as well as the likes of Glassjaw and Deftones, the band’s 2022 EP, Euphoria, Where Were You? (released on Fever 333 frontman Jason Aalon Butler’s 333 Wreckords) pointed towards a soul-crushing sonic heartache all their own. A string of singles led to the band inking with Century Media and beginning on their debut album.
Love Is Noise comment on signing with Century Media Records: “We’re incredibly excited to be a part of the Century Media Family, a label full of rich musical history. We’re proud to join a roster of so many amazing artists. This will be the start of something incredibly special.
The band adds to the new single: “Soft Glow glides you through the appreciation we have for the world we live in and the people who make our lives greater everyday. Whether it’s a loved one, a partner, a friend or a companion, this song was created for you.”
UK’s most exciting new heavy band, HERIOT, are proud to announce their long-awaited debut album. Devoured by the Mouth of Hell will be released 27th September.
Accompanying the album news, HERIOT today have released their Hadean new single, Foul Void , recorded with Josh Middleton (Sylosis, Architects) and GRAMMY Award-winning Will Putney (END, Fit For An Autopsy, Better Lovers).
The band comment: “‘Foul Void’ was one of the last tracks written for our debut album, Devoured by the Mouth of Hell. Sonically influenced by ’90s and early 00’s metalcore, the song delves into the inner struggle of an individual facing uncertainties about their faith.”
HERIOT’s debut album will continue their ascendancy as the pre-eminent new force in the UK heavy scene. The new single Foul Void follows Siege Lord and late 2023’s Soul Chasm , the first two glimpses of new material following their signing with Century Media and support shows with Architects in summer of 2023.
HERIOT have deservedly been grabbing attention with all four pairs of hands, weaponising metallic sludge and hardcore, unholy levels of distortion, speed and gut-punching talent. Elements of Nails, Knocked Loose, Code Orange, and Vein.fm combine and collide to exhilarating effect, creating a sound that is truly groundbreaking, fully worthy of the notice the band are achieving.
Ohio’s notorious, boundary-pushing, and bloodsucking death metal outfit Sanguisugabogg — Cody Davidson, drums; Drew Arnold, guitars/bass; Devin Swank, vocals; and Ced Davis, guitars/bass — have shared the video for the brand new and gloriously irreverent single, Permanently F*cked . The video finds the band in performance mode… with some bloody imagery woven throughout.
“The meaning of the song is a drastically blown out of proportion way of showing how much you love someone,” the band states. “We got inspiration of the song from the 2018 horror film Pet where Dominic Monaghan’s character volunteers himself as a vice for Ksenia Solo’s character so she can torture and humiliate them and they’re bound to their cage so she doesn’t free the urge to murder someone instinctively and doesn’t get arrested or imprisoned for killing people.”
This is the first taste of new music since last year’s 2023’s Homicidal Ecstasy. That album followed 2021’s Tortured Whole. The band continues to slice up uncompromising, in-your-face, and not-for-the-weak death metal that siphons inspiration from early to mid- ’90s and early ’00s death metal and brutal death metal/grindcore presented in their own style with a unique twist that pleases every style of metal maniac.

About the band:
RISE OF KRONOS was born in 2021 from a former band called Surface. After 11 years of hard work, countless concerts, three records and a lot of sweat, blood and tears Surface decided to start a new chapter. As they were (and are) close friends, they wanted to stay together but walk a new, even more, professional path. They needed to stand up and – finally – take each and every fan with them to Olympus. The decision for a new name was born quite early on their journey to a new concept. Somehow Surface did not fit to the music anymore and had to be replaced, but on the other hand, those four friends want to keep the link to their 11 years of music and their amazingly loyal fans – to their so-called Titans. Consequently, they named themselves after their 2015 released record “Rise Of Kronos”. RISE OF KRONOS is a hymn of praise to the past years, their fans as well as a brand-new concept with a new image and new musical influences. Dark, modern and straightforward death metal with the tendency to progressive metal, Swedish death and hardcore – this is what RISE OF KRONOS stands for. Combining Greek mythology and an impulsive live show, they are ready to take the lead to Olympus – now.
RISE OF KRONOS are:
Tom Robinson – Guitar, Vocals Tim Broscheit – Bass,Vocals Jhonnie Ritter – Guitar Marco Bechreiner – Drums
Following the success of their recent release “The Other Side”, OCEANS ON OTHER PLANETS releases “Die Alone”, an electronic-hybrid, upbeat track that speaks to the morbid truth behind falling out of love, and the end of relationships, and the worlds built with them.
Produced by previous Icarus Landing member Nick Wolf, along with Sahaj Ticotin (Starset, Nothing More, Motley Crue, RA), Tom Chandler, and Joel Grant, the track combines electronic elements with heavy rock to cover topics of loss, and struggling to save a relationship when things near the end.
The song is about the end of a relationship, and thus the end of a world with that specific person. Lyrics like “I don’t want anyone to know, I’m afraid of you letting go… put it all aside… at the end of the world… they’ll say… that we didn’t try enough…” demonstrate the struggle of trying to maintain a relationship with someone when it’s passed the point of return. Writer Nick Wolf uses the end of the relationship interchangeably with the end of the world in this track, utilizing powerful lyrics like “We’re past the point of no return, now we watch the whole world burn. We’re going blind. Crawling through the dark, with nowhere left to turn. Without a single doubt, I know, I can’t find alone. And if this is the only chance for us, our destiny unknown.”
Writer and lead singer Nick Wolf laments “Imagine if you could save the relationship, or save the world, with just a little more effort. But you didn’t put in the effort, so it failed, and everything died.” Lyrics in the song reflect this sadness, and the powerful electronic rock backing further instills this message within its listeners.
Inspired by real life and “a general concern that the world is in a bad place and on the brink of collapse,” “Die Alone” speaks to the morbid nature of love, relationships, and loss.
Combining classic, stripped-down hard rock with modern indie, Oceans on Other Planets takes a unique music-making approach, combining new sounds with a nostalgic feel. Straying from the heavy metal sounds of previous group Icarus Landing, singer-songwriter Nick Wolf curates a more subtle, simpler, and basic approach to rock music with Oceans on Other Planets, while keeping audiences engaged and curious as to what they will hear next.
Big things are destined for this group. Stay tuned to hear what’s next!
