Finnish death metal band Devenial Verdict revealed a new song from their upcoming release titled “Old Blood – Fresh Wounds” which sees the band dishing out powerful, catchy death metal.
The premiere done by No Clean Singing can be found AT THIS LINK.
“(We) congratulate Devenial Verdict on not only surviving for 20 years but continuing to make such tremendously good death metal.”
“This release celebrates the 20th anniversary of Devenial Verdict. We wanted to update some of our older songs on this EP; these songs mark some of the most important musical moments of us as a band. We have the first instances of dissonance in our music and the seeds of our melancholic and atmospheric leanings; we have brutal passages and rare instances of melody. It was really eye opening to realise that all the influences were there all along! Some of these songs have never been properly released and exist only as live videos captured at our shows.
We wanted to add Soulthirst EP to this release since 2026 marks the 10 year anniversary for that release. Soulthirst functions as the bridge between all of our older material and our current sound, which we fully unleashed on Ash Blind in 2022.”

Jimmy Kay For The Metal Voice interviewed N.W.O.B.H.M. band Raven at the Piranha Bar in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on April 19, 2026. Watch the interview below.
Excerpt from the chat
When Asked How Ozzy Osbourne brought the band on his first solo tour after hearing their first single on the radio
“Yeah. Friday Rock show. Oh, yeah. I mean, you know, Ozzy wants you to open up on four dates on the Blizzard of Oz tour. Ohh-kay. Right. And, it changed our lives. . That was pretty awesome because I remember them being kind of like they weren’t sure of themselves. They were saying I don’t know if people are are really digging this because the record had just been out not long and they were saying I wonder if we’re going to be able to keep this going and it was to look back on it now cuz it’s like you know like a great record. I don’t understand why they were thinking that way. Legendary it was so good . Lee Kerslake, from Uriah Heap. We got to meet all these people. It was great. What an amazing thing. And they were incredible. And the flip side of that experience for us was the crew who were absolute bastards. Yeah. And treated us like uh slime, you know. Yeah. Like garbage. But yeah, it’s part of that was part of gigging in England at the time. “
When asked about if they plan on doing a new documentary
” Yeah. We actually pretty much worked out the details and we’re starting work on it. There’s going to be a Raven documentary, like a full document. The last one was difficult because it wasn’t funded right and um actually I did a lot of the editing stuff for it and it was such a learning curve for me, if anybody’s ever been involved in something like that, it’s just a huge uh kind of learning curve. And so now this time we have like really professional people involved and we’ll be able to do I think a better job of telling the story cuz it’s quite a tale when you look at all the different angles and things that we’ve been through. And we were just talking earlier about it. A lot of the people who were involved in the beginning of this are gone. You know, even people like Johnny Z who was really uh integral to our success in the States and a lot of the different players are not around anymore. So even just our contemporaries a lot of them are gone. So yeah, so it’s pretty cool that we’re still standing.”
“Wild ‘N’ Loud” is DEMONESSA at full power ready to take on the world!
All the songs on this album are an embodiment of the ‘80s heavy metal we all know and love. While every song on the album is brand new, they also have a familiar feel that fits right into any playlist, like they’ve always been there.
There are 12 songs, racking up to almost one hour of straight hard-rocking future classics, which really makes it like an all-you-can-eat buffet for heavy metal fans, there’s something for pretty much everyone in there. From arena filling anthems to speeding tickets guaranteeing high-speed hits and emotional ballads, the album covers the full spectrum of classic heavy metal.

The band shared: This track was chosen for a lyric video due to the high energy it delivers and the clear strong visual potential to match the outlawish lyrics. The video was created by MVS Visual, known for his work with various artists, most notably Manowar, making him an obvious choice for the project.
To celebrate the release of the album there are several gigs coming up in Finland that are part of a so-called “Worldwide ‘N’ Loud Tour”, which kicks off on 8th of May in Boothill bar in Helsinki. Finnish symphonic metal band AMBERIAN DAWN share a second enchantment from their new era. “The Vision of Dreaming” is another charming glimpse into the upcoming album, Temptation’s Gates, releases June 26, 2026 via Napalm Records, which is the band’s first with singer Nicole Willerton. The song’s poignant riff spirals right into long-term memory and first hints at the new leading lady being more than an angelic fairy gently guiding listeners through languorous realms. Symphonic metal with a modern twist, “The Vision of Dreaming” proves AMBERIAN DAWN’s thrilling dedication to their craft.
Tuomas Seppälä about “The Vision of Dreaming”: “I originally composed ‘The Vision of Dreaming’ back in 2021, but it truly found its final form only now as we began working on it together with our new vocalist. It represents the lighter side of the album, but it still has a nice metal bite to it. I spent a great deal of time carefully crafting its sonic atmosphere. The foundation is built largely on carefully selected analog synthesizer sounds, combined with thoughtfully detailed arrangements. There’s a clear touch of ABBA-like atmosphere in the song, yet at the same time, it has a fresh and heavier edge that makes it unmistakably part of our world.”
Nicole Willerton about “The Vision of Dreaming”: “The lyrics of ‘The Vision of Dreaming’ are dreamy and describe the deep spiritual and emotional connection between two people. It explores how their shared memories, emotions, and dreams keep them intertwined, even when physically apart. The lyrics portray love as a bond that transcends space and time. In essence, the song describes a powerful bond connecting two people beyond the physical.”
Rising from the home of symphonic metal are AMBERIAN DAWN: the Finnish five-piece is set to open Temptation’s Gates, their new album, out on June 26, 2026 via Napalm Records. The band’s first release with new singer Nicole Willerton takes them onto a more modern, occasionally even surprisingly rough path. With it, AMBERIAN DAWN, led by founder, guitarist, and main composer Tuomas Seppälä, slowly emancipate themselves from being “just” the band who—gloriously!—covered Swedish pop legends ABBA with their previous album, Take a Chance – A Metal Tribute to ABBA (2022).
Infusing their epic keyboard sounds with guitar-driven melodic metal, AMBERIAN DAWN reach into a world unknown and prove their versatility while their catchy anthems remain strong and charming as ever. Temptation’s Gates has the band determined for a future sparkling temptingly bright—and they’re ready to step through that gate.
Tuomas Seppälä about Temptation’s Gates: “When I started working with our new singer, I felt the same kind of excitement I had years ago when I began creating our debut album back in 2007 and 2008. At that time, AMBERIAN DAWN were still newcomers to the band world, even though we were already experienced musicians. With Temptation’s Gates, I felt that same spark of creating something new for the first time in a long while. I hadn’t composed many songs yet when I began collaborating with our new vocalist. Most of the material came together surprisingly fast once I realized how easy and natural it was to work with her. I was deeply inspired by Nicole’s enthusiasm, dedication, and efficiency. I truly feel that the band has been reborn with her joining us. Musically, our style has evolved once again, perhaps moving slightly back toward a heavier, more metal-driven direction. At the same time, elements of our classic sound and identity are naturally still present. In many ways, creating this album felt like going back to my roots. For the first time in a long while, I also took on a bigger role as a guitarist. I focused more on crafting guitar riffs, played roughly half of the guitar leads on the album, and even performed one full guitar solo myself.”
Nicole Willerton about Temptation’s Gates: “Temptation’s Gates is the first album I’ve sung on and recorded with AMBERIAN DAWN, and it has been a beautiful experience. While writing the lyrics, each song was inspired by feelings, memories, and moments that were especially prominent during the creation of the album. Writing the lyrics felt like diving into the subconscious, bringing these emotions to the surface. It was wonderful to explore the creative process of arranging the backing vocals. I especially love how AMBERIAN DAWN’s music makes strong use of backing vocals, helping to create a fuller, richer sound around the lead vocals. It’s definitely a fiery album that combines a broad spectrum of emotional depths, ranging from love and melancholy to darker elements such as fear and inner struggles. A recurring message throughout the album is to embrace one’s true desires and to accept and acknowledge one’s honest feelings.”
AMBERIAN DAWN introduce their new voice with the album’s title track. “Temptation’s Gates” sweeps in fast, filled to the brim with epic keyboards and charming storytelling. The band’s increased determination equally seeps through “The Vision Of Dreaming”, whose poignant riff spirals right into long-term memory and which first hints at Willerton being more than an angelic fairy gently guiding listeners through languorous realms. The following invocation to the “Moon” turns up the speed to blast beat intensity, remaining magical up until its unexpected end. The final screams fittingly reverberate in “Unchained”, which has the new leading lady unleash her full potential in powerful growls contrasting her seraphic vocals—a first for AMBERIAN DAWN! It is here at the very latest that Temptation’s Gates demonstrates that this is no longer ABBA, but that the Finnish quintet has boldly created something different but equally as fitting. “Eternal Flame” and “Life is Art” are epic hymns with beautiful guitar work, further having AMBERIAN DAWN rewrite their destiny. Another testimony of the band’s changed direction, “The Night is Waiting for Me” makes heads nod and feet tap from the first note with its captivatingly modern sound infused with a dark metal atmosphere. More in line with previous work, the ballad “Undying Colours” transports listeners to a multilayered dreamscape that is, just as “The Garden” frames it, self-directed. “Phantasmagoria” wraps up the album as an irresistibly danceable track, leading the way for symphonic metal to become more modern while losing none of its whimsical grandeur.
