Chilean death metal cult icons GODLESS are set to unleash their highly anticipated new full-length, “Adversus Parousia”, on June 6th, 2026 via Nuclear Winter Records. The album will be available on LP, CD, and cassette, marking the return of a band whose legacy in the underground has been quietly monumental since their formation.
The first single “Omega Omnipotens: Hosanna in Nullificatio” is now streaming HERE.
Since their inception in 1997, GODLESS have operated with an unwavering devotion to the darkest corners of death metal. Long before Chile’s scene garnered international attention, the band forged their path, crafting music of uncompromising intensity. Composed of seasoned veterans, GODLESS have always approached their work with meticulous care, and “Adversus Parousia” is the culmination of years of patient refinement.
The new album demonstrates a rigorous adherence to traditional death metal principles, yet its execution is anything but predictable. Every riff and atmospheric detail is carefully considered, resulting in a sound where weight and nuance coexist in perfect balance. Tracks crawl and coil with a pitch-black intensity, yet subtle dynamics emerge, revealing layers of depth beneath the surface of the oppressive, obsidian-toned compositions. The music exudes a solemnity that only true masters of the craft can orchestrate, commanding attention with its ceremonial gravity.
Following a nine-year silence since their last EP, “Omega Omnipotens”, GODLESS return with a work that challenges both themselves and their listeners. “Adversus Parousia” embodies fidelity to the ethos of death metal, eschewing pretension for a direct confrontation with darkness and dissolution. The album fuses trance-like momentum, fervent aggression and an unwavering sense of transgression, producing an experience that is as merciless as it is mesmerizing.
With “Adversus Parousia”, GODLESS reaffirm their position as architects of Chilean underground death metal, presenting a record that is simultaneously complete, refined and uncompromising. For those attuned to the gravest depths of the genre, this release promises a profound, immersive encounter with the essence of death metal at its most solemn and potent.
Witness the return of pure hostility.

Solo pagan black metal project SERPENT LORD will be releasing its debut album, ‘The Once Forgotten Ways of Old,’ on May 29, 2026 via Eisenwald Records. The project has debuted the haunting first single, “Aries Ram,” can now be streamed via Bandcamp HERE.
SERPENT LORD first slithered into existence in 2003, emerging as a solitary pagan black metal vessel forged by Jake Superchi (UADA, Ceremonial Castings). Though the project’s first true album was recorded in 2005, the work was abruptly shelved and lay dormant for twenty years. Now, in the Year of the Snake, the ancient offering has been reborn and reimagined as ‘The Once Forgotten Ways of Old,’ preserving every note of its primordial conception.
The album was re-recorded in the cold heart of the Pacific Northwest between 2022 and 2025, engineered and mixed by Jake Superchi, and mastered by Arthur Rizk. The release features new artwork and the original logo created by Kris Verwimp, along with photography by Peter Beste.
Originally formed over two decades ago, SERPENT LORD existed largely in the shadows, issuing only a handful of demos before entering an extended period of dormancy. Yet, the creative force behind the project never faded. Ideas, fragments, and compositions endured across the years, shelved for the right moment, only fully taking shape and being realized in the Year of the Snake, when the vision was finally forged into its definitive form.
Early demo material already hinted at what SERPENT LORD would become: a severe balance between melodic grandeur and unrestrained aggression, with transitions between atmosphere and brutality, produced to enhance rather than obscure its intensity.
Founded by Jake Superchi (known for its creative force in UADA and CEREMONIAL CASTINGS), SERPENT LORD channels the spirit of ’90s pagan black metal. The album stands as a triumphant and immersive work – melodic, fierce, and steeped in ritualistic energy. Expansive riffing, evocative passages, and a dynamic interplay between harsh and atmospheric elements, both timeless and fully awakened.
The album was recorded and mixed by Jake Superchi, and mastered by Arthur Rizk, achieving a sound that retains raw edge while delivering clarity and depth. The cover artwork, created by Kris Verwimp, along with photography by Peter Beste, further underscoring the album’s mythical and arcane atmosphere.
With ‘The Once Forgotten Ways of Old,’ SERPENT LORD emerges from decades of silence with a work that fulfills the promise of its early recordings; it’s an album shaped by time, and driven by an uncompromising vision of black metal.

KsE‘s latest album THIS CONSEQUENCE is out now via Metal Blade. Get it here. The album arrived alongside a hugely successful Winter/Spring 2025 tour, yielded a Top 5 single with “I Believe,” which peaked at No. 3, and landed the band on the covers of Revolver and Outburn. The album was another reminder of why KsE, who have earned several gold and platinum certifications alongside three Grammy nominations, remain one of the most enduring bands of the modern metal scene.
ABOUT KILLSWITCH ENGAGE: Killswitch Engage first shook the structure of heavy music upon climbing out of snowy industrialized Western Massachusetts in 2000. A musical outlier, the band pioneered a union of thrashed-out European guitar pyrotechnics, East Coast hardcore spirit, onstage hijinks, and enlightened lyricism that set the pace for what the turn-of-the-century deemed heavy. 2002’s Alive Or Just Breathing became avowed as a definitive album, being named among “The Top 100 Greatest Metal Albums of the Decade” by Decibel and celebrated by everyone from Metal Hammer to Revolver. Not only did they bust open the floodgates for dozens to follow, but they also garnered three GRAMMY® Award nominations in the category of “Best Metal Performance” in 2005, 2014, and 2019, respectively, a gold certification for The End of Heartache [2004], and a platinum certification for As Daylight Dies [2006]. The group landed three consecutive Top 10 debuts on the Billboard Top 200 with Killswitch Engage [2009], Disarm The Descent [2013], and their career high best bow at #6 with Incarnate [2016]. The latter two releases, along with 2019’s Atonement, would also both capture #1 on the Top Rock Albums and Top Hard Rock Albums charts. The band’s total streams are well over 3 billion to date, while they’ve remained consummate road warriors who’ve sold out countless headline tours and have shared stages with everyone from Iron Maiden to Slipknot to Slayer to My Chemical Romance to Mastodon to Parkway Drive, which is a testament to their ability to cross genres and appeal to all fans of hard rock. KsE have remained a featured attraction at every major North American and European festival through the years. The band recently celebrated an astonishing, 25-year career as one of the most vital and genre-defining bands of the ’00s and continues its incredible legacy and released This Consequence, which boasted the biggest radio hit of the band’s career with “I Believe.” The song peaked at No. 3 on the charts, with the album garnering significant press accolades, including Forbes, a Revolver cover, and SPIN.
With their much-anticipated Serpent Lip Service album now mere days away from its April 17 release date, MOURNING NOISE release one last teaser for the full set, a new single “Melted Minds” and an accompanying lyric video.
“‘Melted Minds’ is a lens into an altered reality,” says the band’s Robby Bloodshed. “A synopsis of how your brain, heart, and soul can play tricks on you. How it could make you believe something is so real, when it is so clearly an illusion in front of your own eyes.
“This song is a real life encounter, and it’s so easy to borrow this passage from the late mastermind Rod Serling. Adjusted a little bit for our context…
“‘A latter-day trance just returned from an adventure. Submitted to you without any recommendation as to belief or disbelief. You can accept or reject; you pays your money and you takes your choice. But credulous or incredulous, don’t bother to ask anyone for proof that it could happen. The obligation is a reverse challenge: prove that it couldn’t. This happens to be…’ In your MELTED MIND!”
Yet the release, while triumphant, is also tinged with heartbreak. Just two weeks ago, founding member Chris “Morance” Marino passed away and, for a short while, the entire future of Mourning Noise was up in the air.
“Chris was the best bandmate you could have asked for,” the band said in a statement that day. “A fantastic bassist. A team player. Eager to always rehearse. Our secret ingredient in the songwriting process who would give us little details to paint within the canvas. And above all, a man with a heart of gold. There are no words that can fully capture what he meant to us, and there never will be.”
Ultimately, however, the band decided to press on. Serpent Lip Service, all agree, is the band’s best album yet, and Chris’s playing throughout is phenomenal. What better way to keep his memory alive by continuing to do what he – and they – loved best?
It’s not going to be easy. How can you simply replace someone who was an integral member of the band for 45 years, since Mourning Noise first came screaming out of suburban Lodi, New Jersey? Serpent Lip Service, says Steve, “is rooted firmly in the band’s original punk ethos, the record pushes beyond tradition, blending dark intensity with a broad spectrum of influences to create a gripping, unpredictable journey from start to finish.”
Yes, that journey has suddenly taken a tragic, and wholly unexpected twist. But Mourning Noise will continue, and Serpent Lip Service is suddenly an even more significant album than any of us could ever have imagined.
Rest in Peace, Chris. You will never be forgotten… Mourning Noise will make certain of that.
ERDVE are releasing “Ydos,” the second single from the experimental sludge metal band’s upcoming third album Epigrama. Following the album’s grief-stricken lead single “Nyra”, “Ydos” moves deeper into a corroded place where self-doubt calcifies into something closer to self-destruction.
Where Erdve’s debut album, Vaitojimas, laid the foundation, the band’s follow-up, Savigaila, pushed against it until something cracked. What follows now is not a next step but a deliberate pause, a period of stepping back from the noise to ask what the music is for, and what it needs to become in order to mean something true.
Epigrama answers that question but not in a comfortable way. The album was made with the care that comes from having learned, through trial and error, what it means to create without compromise. The band wrote, recorded, mixed, mastered, photographed and designed it themselves. Handing any part of it to someone else, would have been a betrayal of everything the album is about. Accountability runs through it like a fault line.
“Ydos” speaks to the weakness of facing the truth, shame and the inability to impose judgement upon oneself. The song is a descent from stagnation into what Erdve envision as the gradual consumption of the last remaining spark of life.

ERDVE is a metal band from Vilnius, Lithuania, experimenting with extreme music since 2016.
In 2017, the band signed a record contract with SEASON OF MIST records, who later released their debut album VAITOJIMAS (translated as: Moaning). The album has set a strong foundation for the band to keep pushing the limits of creativity within the framework of heavy, yet atmospheric metal iterations.
Their second album SAVIGAILA (translated as: Self-loathing) was released by Season of Mist in 2021, and has presented a different and more abrasive approach towards composing and storytelling, focusing on the intensity, unpredictability and drama.
The band is known to dive into unexpected ventures by choosing to perform in places that intuitively seem incoherent to the type of music being played or are not considered to be regular venues. First such show took place in the church of St. John’s 2019 and another one in Lukiškės Ex-Prison, both in Vilnius, Lithuania.
After the second album, the band took some time to rediscover their relationship with music and identified the elements that would convey their future vision in the most truthful way. This idea is followed by their 2026 release – EPIGRAMA, that delivers a familiar, yet a fundamentally different approach towards experimenting within the confines of heavy music and reflective storytelling. The goal was to craft a meticulous consistency between the music, lyrics and sound production, where every aspect of the song works together to create meaningful impact. This album marks a new beginning for ERDVE, in the process of rediscovery, experimentation and raw expression.

The second single from Venom’s forthcoming new album, ‘Into Oblivion’, is the bludgeoning ‘Kicked Outta Hell’, which is a ferocious thrasher of a track and while it has hints of classic Venom it also has a modern twist of brutality. Destined to be another crowd pleaser in the live arena, it’s without doubt one of the heaviest tracks Venom have ever penned. Cronos smirks, ‘This one is me just having fun. I’m putting myself above the Devil in the lyric, which I think is an interesting twist. The Devil’s pissed off with us!’. Dante gestures, ‘You’re not staying in hell, get out!’. Rage affirms, ‘It’s one of the heaviest songs on the album, it’s grinding & straight ahead.’

‘Into Oblivion’ is Venom’s sixteenth studio album and features the long-standing line up of Cronos (bass/vocals and founding member), Rage (guitar) and Dante (drums) and marks their first new recordings since 2018’s, ‘Storm The Gates’. ‘Into Oblivion’ consists of thirteen songs that are signature Venom: heavy, evil and catchy. There’s a combination of their classic 80’s sound adjacent to a more modern, progressive approach but without losing any of their fire and brimstone of old.
‘Into Oblivion’ will be released on 1st May 2026 via Noise/BMG and is available for pre-order.
