MILE is a melodic metal band from Sweden that has a modern sound mixing heavy metal and hard rock, combining heavy riffs and attractive melodies. In 2015 they released their debut album ‘Lost’ which streamed over 1 000 000 times during its first year. The sequel ‘The World In Focus’ was released in 2018 and contained the hit single ‘Crying in Your Sleep’ which ended up on several major playlists. Throughout the years MILE has played festivals where giants like Twisted Sister, Alice Cooper, Sabaton, and Hammerfall have been present.
Today, MILE release their single Killing Me from their upcoming album set to be released May 31st. ” The song is a flirtation with the American South and a nod to the swamps of Florida, capturing the mystique surrounding these areas. Despite its supernatural aura, the song is rooted in something as natural as unrequited love.
”Some people may notice that the song differs slightly from what we have done in the past. However, it still carries both melodies and a heavy, classic vibe that has become somewhat of our signature. style” – MILE
While “Crack Cocaine” by Billy Morrison, Ozzy Osbourne & Steve Stevens pushes into the top of the Rock charts. Billy Morrison and Dave Navarro along with dCommunity and The Label Group announces a first of its kind charity auction benefiting their Above Ground Charity.
“The partnership I have with dCommunity has enabled us to create a cutting edge and exciting charity auction – one that I am really proud of. Bidding on these unique phygitals benefits the Above Ground charity that I have with Dave Navarro and gives you a chance to win the actual physical painting that I created for these NFTs. We support resources for PTSD, trauma, depression and suicide prevention and with this auction, you can help us spread the word that its ok to ask for help,” says Billy Morrison.
WATCH Billy Morrison talk about the Charity Auction:
dCommunity, a web3 onboarding hub and community #builder, is proud to partner with The Label Group and announce that the exciting Charity Auction and Promotion is now live. The event runs through May, which is Mental Health Awareness Month, and is raising awareness and support for Above Ground, a charity on the front lines of the mental health crisis.
The event was created in collaboration with Billy Morrison and the fabulous new album – The Morrison Project. A well-known artist, Morrison provided the art found at the heart of the auction. From this art, we have minted 14 NFTs and created a super-limited edition, phygital collection [A phygital is a physical item paired with a digital twin]. In this case, each NFT is paired with a signed, collector’s edition, colored vinyl album, which has a hash leading back to the NFT. The original art will go to one of the NFT holders in a random drawing. We invite you to check out the art and the story being told. Sign up for FREE entries in the auction and for other great prizes or make a tax-deductible bid. You can join the auction and promotion here: dCommunity Charity Auction
In keeping up with The Morrison Project, we feel this hits a lot of notes – and hope the fans feel the same. It is a nod to creativity, music, art and intention – with a splash of technology. All in the name of doing good.
Billy Morrison’s highly anticipated solo album, The Morrison Project released digitally on April 19, 2024, through TLG|ZOID VIRGIN MUSIC GROUP. The album is scheduled for release physically on CD and LP on May 24th.
Billy Morrison, the British guitarist, singer, and songwriter is primarily known as Billy Idol’s rhythm guitar player for the past 15 years alongside lead guitarist Steve Stevens, and for his previous role as bassist in The Cult.

CATEGORY 7, the new heavy metal outfit boasting the all-star lineup of John Bush (Armored Saint, Anthrax), Mike Orlando (Adrenaline Mob, Sonic Universe, Noturnall), Phil Demmel (Machine Head, Kerry King, Vio-Lence), Jack Gibson (Exodus), and Jason Bittner (Shadows Fall, Overkill), will release their self-titled debut full-length on July 26th through Metal Blade Records.
With veteran musicians from so many legendary bands, it’s hard not to think of CATEGORY 7 as a supergroup. “I think we’re pretty super,” jokes guitarist Phil Demmel, who has earned mega-metal cred over the decades as a member of Machine Head, Vio-Lence, Kerry King, and has also played as a fill-in road guitarist for Slayer, Lamb of God, Overkill, and others. “Really, I feel like this is a band, not a side project. And I feel like we have written this incredible piece of music, and we’re not done. I’m so proud of the way this came together and the people who were involved. And I think we all feel super positive about this and what else we can do with it going forward.“
CATEGORY 7 has created an album that is fresh and familiar. The mixture of NWOBHM, thrash, punk-metal, and traditional metal is cohesive and sonically rewarding, establishing an eclectic musical backdrop for vocalist John Bush’s instantly identifiable vocals. At the same time, the diversity of styles creates its own template that’s ideal for headbanging, moshing, and voluble sing-alongs.
“It’s all about big verses and big songs, and it has a lot of the elements we’ve explored in our other bands,” explains guitarist and main songwriter Mike Orlando.
Take lead single, the upbeat album opener, “In Stitches,” which commences with piledriving double-bass drums, a feral thrash passage, and a fiery lead before toning down just enough for the distinctive vocals to stand out.
“It gets heavy, it’s thrashy at times, but it opens up in the verses, and then the double-bass drums come in and knock you off your chair, but in a great way,” Orlando says.
Bush further elaborates, “I read an article on an unhoused pregnant woman named Stitches who resided in Los Angeles obviously living a very difficult life that was compounded by mental illness and drug abuse. The encampment situation in my beloved city drives me bats. I balance between serious empathy and complete anger. The combination of imagining her life as well as my own internal turmoil led me to an almost humorous insanity state while writing this scathing album opener.”
Category 7 was produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered by Orlando at Sonic Stomp Studios with art and layout by Carlos Fides at Artside Studio (Angra, Evergrey, Kamelot).

June 7, 2024 sees US hard rock / metal veterans HOLY MOTHER present the follow-up to “Face This Burn”, and their overall seventh studio album “Rise”! Coming as CD Digipak, Ltd. Vinyl LP and Digital formats via Massacre Records , the album pre-sale is available at: https://lnk.to/holymotherrise
Following the previously-released, first single “Fire”, today, the band has shared another groove-ladden album appetizer, a music video for the track “Jeremiah”! HOLY MOTHER frontman Mike Tirelli comments: “Do you know when you hear a song name like ‘Jeremiah’? You automatically think Jeremiah was a bullfrog. But I wrote a song about Jeremiah, a bad man! This song is really about a corrupt billionaire businessman, and the people that get fooled by his persuasiveness. The heavy groove and the riff of this song is what I like the best. And not to mention the heavily inspired Dio-ish vocal vibe that really puts this song over the top.”
In a career that spans from the 1990’s until the present day, HOLY MOTHER has delivered some of the most blistering American, fist-pumping music of their genre and pulls no punches with its heaviest and most powerful release to date.
New album anthems like “Rise”, “Power”, “Fire”, “Rain” “Jeremiah”, and “Hex” will have you banging your head and stomping your feet, and the classic “Live To Die” from the critically acclaimed “Toxic Rain” album of HOLY MOTHER‘s past is brought to new life, channeling the spirit of the late, great HOLY MOTHER co-founder Randy Coven.
This album will melt your face, compel you to raise your fists and rebel and as HOLY MOTHER intend to lead the force of metal followers to their destiny with the driving force of the amazing Ronnie James Dio-style vocals of Mike Tirelli, the blistering shredding of the young guitar prodigy Mickey Lyxx, the pounding in-your- face drumming of powerhouse James Harris, and the blazing bass of the Brit, Wayne Banks. HUNTSMEN has today shared the lead single and music video, titled In Time, All Things, from their upcoming third album, The Dry Land, which is set for release via Prosthetic Records on June 7. In Time, All Things‘ music video was directed by Ryan Luciani (GoodFriend), with the track ushering in The Dry Land‘s overarching themes of the liminal space between the living and the dead.
Speaking on the single and music video release, Chris Kang (guitar and vocals) comments: “We chose In Time, All Things as our first single because it is a sanctuary directly at the border between life and death, which is the subject matter of The Dry Land. It’s a place where an exhausted traveler can find respite while looking upon the mirrored realms, reflect upon their beauty, indifference, and desolation, and decide next steps.
“For those who have seen death, the warm light of the living day must share space in the heart with the frigid night of the eternal process. Where once the only direction was forward, now there is also back, where the dead remain, frozen in time. The survivor is pulled between both, their soul the prize in a war as old as existence. We hope to capture the possibility that both the night and day can coexist, balanced, within the still-beating heart.”
Following the release of their sophomore full-length, Mandala of Fear, in 2020 and The Dying Pines EP in 2022 HUNTSMEN’s intervening years between studio albums were marked with devastatingly contrasting highs and lows. Whilst their body of studio work continued to garner acclaim from fans and critics alike, chronic illness would become a recurring uphill battle for the ensemble. As these jarring mixed fortunes reached their apex towards the end of 2022, the band reached towards each other outside of their craft as old friends. Taking stock of four years of tribulations led to a reevaluation of what it is to be creatives and, in turn, ushered in a collective rebirth.
Writing sessions for The Dry Land saw a number of artistic firsts for HUNTSMEN, most notably with the first full collaborative inclusion of vocalist Aimee Bueno-Knipe. The creative process soon saw HUNTSMEN adding more black metal influences into their Americana and folk tinged doom, evidenced most overtly on tracks such as This, Our Gospel and lead single In Time, All Things. Elsewhere, HUNTSMEN’s knack for finely crafted and richly layered melodies offer moments of resplendence on the slow burning Lean Times and closer The Herbsight.
Mirroring the circumstances and environment that led to its creation, The Dry Land’s pacing is one rooted in the art of rise and fall dynamics both musically and lyrically. Tales of escaping religious violence, malevolent apparitions and death incarnate all play key roles throughout the album’s narrative thread. HUNTSMEN treat each tale as both exorcism and exaltation, adding a pervasively unsettling quality to The Dry Land that is sure to stick long after the runtime is over.
The Dry Land was recorded and mixed by Pete Grossmann at Bricktop Studios before being placed in the hands of Brad Boatright for mastering, with the resulting sound adding a towering grandiosity to the album whilst simultaneously highlighting HUNTSMEN’s newfound corrosive qualities. The Dry Land’s striking cover art was created by Derek Setzer, depicting an immolating dancer in high contrast black and white amongst rusted gold.
Through the fire, HUNTSMEN find themselves reborn on The Dry Land.

The UK tour was like floating in a sea of sequins, bodily fluids and liquid ecstasy! Fantastic having Ward XVI along as support!
“the beauty of a Tragedy show…. pure escapism, blisteringly good music…there’s no one out there doing this as well as they do” – My Global Mind
“what makes Tragedy so special, the musical skill and metal interpretations are fantastic, but every single song is a classic that the audience know every word to. The end result is the band don’t play a single song themselves, each and every one is sung along to by the totally engrossed crowd.” – Livewire
“Watching the audience made my night. From the lady in black to my right who was absolutely losing her shit, to the one in front of me who was celebrating her birthday, to the guys behind me banging their heads to the heavier riffs… every single one had the biggest smiles on their faces throughout. Tragedy are the epitome of ‘party band’. Great music, great songs, great fun. Hands down one of those bands you just have to catch live.”” – Moshville Times
“the crowd and myself don’t care we are singing along, have the simply the best time to this twisted rock band.” – Metal Planet Music
