“Fiore Nel Vento” is the new single by ASTERISMA, available today on YouTube with a beautiful lyric video and on all streaming platforms through Volcano Records & Promotion.
The sound of Asterisma is an unusual blend of Italian progressive, electronic rock, and ethereal and psychedelic atmospheres, which take on a completely unique form in the compositions by mastermind Enrico Fiorio, vocalist, author, and soul of the band, supported by Paolo Perazzani on drums and Matteo Galbier on bass, both with solid experiences with Arthemis and Siylit.
“Fiore Nel Vento” is a journey beyond the bounds of earthly space and time, suspended in an intergalactic dimension. Through an ethereal vision, Asterisma manages to reflect deeply on universal themes such as human relationships, bonds, the willpower that surpasses adversities, and above all, the courage to resist.
CAINITES have signed a multi-album deal with Scarlet Records.
Under the same mark of Cain and within the same universe filled by the eternal night, Cainites is the name of the melodic death metal duo oozing darkness and blood from every pore.
Two orthodox vampire priest have risen from the ashes of the Italian gothic-doom masters Motus Tenebrae: Andrea Falaschi, aka Frater Orion (Deathless Legacy), on vocals, drums and keyboards, and Daniele Ciranna, on guitar and bass.
They lurk in the shadows they have been locked in for centuries, as punishment – the shadows of the vampires. They can’t end their endless lives, but just follow the most brutal survival instinct that makes them feed on human blood.
Through their dark, gloomy melodic death metal (influenced by Insomnium, The Vision Bleak, Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride, Tribulation and Septic Flesh), Cainites create their own mystique, portraying the curse and the mark they have to carry – that of those longing for the light they’ve been forever banned from.
The Cainites debut album is expected to be released in June by Scarlet Records.

Avant-garde metal warriors SYK carve a wide path through the wilderness of conventional music on their new album. On its second single, “the Cross”, the Italian avant-garde metal warriors draw us deeper inside the cavernous intellectual labyrinth that is eartHFlesh.
Watch the hard-hitting performance video for “the Cross”:
Marked with their signature streak of rich, heavy stylistic experimentation, “the Cross” is infused by SYK‘s spirit of rebellion. The song starts by assuming the form of tightly coiled tech-death, only for the riffs to rear into a crushing, distorted groove. “I reject your holy ornaments”, Stefano Ferrian growls before blackened melodic tremors and a concussive wave of blast beats bring the band to a deadly but melodic conclusion.
“‘the Cross’ is a symbol of transformation”, Stefano says. “Everything that was sublime in order to achieve a new mental universe”.
The video for “the Cross” peels back the song’s churning layers of production to reveal the beating heart of its creation – the band, in their most elemental form, locked into a chaotic but liberating rhythm. Here, within the flickering shadows and stark light, the raw, unadulterated essence of SYK’s rebellion is laid bare.
“This song is about leaving all the cancerous concepts we accepted and ingested from society in order to create something better for each creature existing on earth”, Stefano continues. “Violence is for criminals and perverted minds. Organized violence is for Nations led by criminals.
“The rage that’s put into “the Cross” is directed at all those leaders that are steering us to a quick destruction. Not just for ourselves, but also for all those creatures that has nothing to do with our unstableness.”

SYK is a metal band that came into existence in 2013 when Stefano Ferrian and Federico De Bernardi di Valserra decided to embark on a new musical venture following the disbandment of their previous project, .psychofagist. They were soon joined by the immensely talented vocalist Dalila Kayros, whose vocal skills left a deep impression on the band during live performances.
In May 2014, syk released their debut album titled Atoma through L’Inphantile Collective. The album caught the attention of Philip H Anselmo from Housecore Records, who not only expressed his appreciation for the band’s work but also offered them a deal for their second album. This second album, titled I-Optikon, was released on December 2, 2016, and was produced by Philip H Anselmo himself. The album was notable for its technical compositions that offered a unique and unparalleled listening experience, as Metal Trenches aptly described it.
Following the release of their second album, the band welcomed their long-time friend Marcello Cravini as a permanent member, taking on the role of the second guitarist. syk subsequently embarked on extensive tours across Europe in 2017 and 2018 and had the honour of being the official support act for GODFLESH during their Italian/Slovenian run in May 2018. Additionally, they also participated in the prestigious Roadburn Festival in the same year, further cementing their reputation as a promising metal act.
In 2019, Federico made the difficult decision to leave the band due to personal reasons, and shortly after, the global pandemic hit, disrupting the band’s search for a new drummer. However, towards the end of 2020, Mauro Maraldo joined syk as their new drummer, and with their lineup complete, they wasted no time in entering the studio to record their third album. This album, titled Pyramiden, was released on March 11th, 2022, through Housecore Records/Nuclear Blast. The album’s distinct and powerful character earned syk high praise, with MetalheadCommunity recognizing them as one of the most promising metal acts of the time.
Pyramiden received further acclaim when it was included in the ProgSpace Awards 2022 under the category of ‘Album of the Year 2022/Extreme Prog Category’, alongside esteemed acts like Fallujah, Allegaeon, Cult of Luna, and Conjurer. Unfortunately, soon after the album’s release, both Mauro and Dalila had to depart from the band due to personal reasons.
However, syk, known for their sonic evolution, decided to press on. Founding members Stefano and Marcello continued working on their fourth album while actively searching for new members. Alan La Roca joined the band as the bass player, solidifying the lineup, but the search for a drummer remained a challenge. It wasn’t until Federico Leone answered their call that the band found their new drummer. With the lineup in place consisting of Stefano Ferrian as the new frontman, guitarist, and main songwriter, Marcello Cravini on guitars, Alan La Roca on bass, and Federico Leone on drums, syk took on a new form.
In early 2023, syk caught the attention of Season Of Mist, who signed them for the release of their fourth album, eartHFlesh. This album not only marks the band’s latest offering but also signifies their first decade as a band. With a reinvigorated sound and an intensified sonic progression, syk continues to captivate listeners and solidify their place in the metal scene.

The wait is over! GENTLE SAVAGE have released their long-awaited brand new single + Lyric Video ‘Fuel My Fire’ today, March 27th! Furthermore, the band reveals their next future plans!
Songwriter and vocalist/guitarist Tornado Bearstone on ‘Fuel My Fire’:
“During the rehearsals of “Fuel My Fire”, it quickly became obvious that this would be the first single from the upcoming album, as the band’s energy levels soared when they played it. The song combines classic rock and rumbling, modern alternative tunings. The message of the song is simple and known to all who have ever been in love – Come and light my heart or I’ll forever be unhappy. The chorus is brief and intense, but the song has more layers to discover. Caught up in longing, the narrator calls their beloved back, wondering if time apart has clouded their mind. Yet, despite the uncertainty, love’s power prevails. Fuel My Fire was born as a result of experimenting with alternative tunings. Written by Saku Kallinen, also known as Tornado Bearstone, the lyrics and especially the rhythm of the chorus surged like a mighty roar, demanding to be heard: C’MON FUEL MY FIREEEE!”
Fuel My Fire starts a new exciting journey on the bands path. During 2024 there will be two more single releases and the new line-up puts its full effort to release the second full length album in 2025. Half of the songs are already recorded so everything looks good and the band can’t wait to share the new music with its fans.”
Tornado adds: “We feel better than ever. Our songs and arrangements feel smooth and tight when we play and the band is really grooving. We are proud of what we’ve done before but now we are raising the bar for ourselves. Our debut album Midnight Waylay has some special magic about it and it will forever hold that position. But you live, you learn. That is why I feel safe to say we sound better than ever “.
Just recently Tornado Bearstone revealed the story behind the track:
“LET’S GET HEATED! Sitting at home ‘couch jamming’ songwriter Tornado Bearstone was experimenting with an alternate tuned guitar. The main riff and especially the rhythm of the chorus kinda shouted out; ‘C’MON, FUEL MY FIRE!’. In a situation like this there was no other choice but to write a song around that phrase. After that first phrase the song pretty much wrote itself causing infectious rise of spirits when played for the first time at the band rehearsals.”
Here’s the chorus: “C’mon, fuel my fire. Get yourself some rock’n roll! C’mon, breathe desire. More, more, more…”
Tornado continues: “The chorus sums it up and on a certain level tells the whole story in a few sentences. But the full narrative is a bit deeper. It seems like the teller has fallen in love and is inviting the loved one to join on a mission to heat things up. Could it also be that there’s been some time spent apart and that’s causing a little bit of confusion in the tellers mind…? For better or worse we all do know what mental and/or physical Love can do. It heats you up. Period.”
With a title like ’Fuel My Fire’ what can you expect from a Rock tune? In this case you’ll get a tight and melodic firecracker for Rock and Metal enthusiasts. With a touch of Classic Rock mixed with a modern metallish sound of alternate tuned guitars this Hard Rock tune was the obvious choice to introduce the new line-up in it’s full power and blaze.
The cover art was sketched by vocalist Tornado Bearstone and created by his trusted graphic artist Vin Valentino. There was a lot of emotion put into that one single picture. And that is exactly what the band was looking for; a continuum of what’s been released before, now with even more power and emotion in it. New music and the cover art reflects the band’s state of mind; a well self-esteemed group of musicians writing and performing music straight from the heart.
Inside the band the new members positive energy combined with old members’ strong attitude makes everything feel solid, easy and flowing.

Swiss melodic death metal unit, SOULLINE, is currently gearing up for the release of their new studio offering, entitled “Reflections”, due out on May 17, 2024 through Massacre Records. Coming as CD Digipak, Ltd. Vinyl LP and Digital formats, the album pre-sale is available at https://lnk.to/soullinereflections
Following the previously-released, first track “Look At The Stars”, today, SOULLINE have shared a music video for their latest single “Say Goodbye”, out now on all digital streamiong providers via https://soulline.bfan.link/saygoodbye
The band comments: “Say Goodbye is not merely a song; it’s a critique wrapped in a melodic but violent embrace, aiming to dissect the fleeting nature of success and the often superficial allure of appearances. Lore envisioned this track as a forceful fusion, aspiring to capture the raw energy of Vader blended seamlessly with the melancholic melodies of Evergrey, and a little bit of Bury Tomorrow, crafting a sound that strikes a balance between ferocity and harmony.
The song emerges as a powerful exhortation to look beyond the ephemeral glitters of success and to question the stability of the pedestals we build for ourselves and others. Through its potent combination of melody and message, the song invites listeners to engage in a deeper exploration of identity, value, and the transient nature of fame in our times.“
SOULLINE’s “Reflections” is as a powerful exploration of environmental issues and our connection to planet Earth. Each track reflects a specific aspect of this often troubled and problematic relationship.
On this album, collaboration and teamwork led to greater complexity in musical structures and arrangements. Clean vocals, interwoven with Gabriele’s signature growl, emphasize the album’s central theme, creating an intense and engaging atmosphere.
This album goes beyond mere musical listening, transforming into a sensory experience. SOULLINE presents a masterpiece that combines music and images to stir deep emotions and stimulate concrete actions. The environmental message, expressed through the power of metal music, makes “Reflections” a work not only of music but also of cultural activism. The goal is to bring “Reflections” to a wide and diverse audience, hoping that the album’s message will find echoes in the minds and hearts of listeners, stimulating greater environmental awareness and positive change.
