Messer, the dynamic rock band known for their evocative melodies and powerful anthems, has launched their latest single titled “One More Time.” Available now on all major music platforms, this heartfelt track is set to be featured on the upcoming MESSERDeluxe Edition Album, slated for release on March 15, 2024, in Dolby Atmos.
In conjunction with the single’s debut, Messer has released the music video, also in Dolby Atmos, offering fans a visually compelling accompaniment that enhances the song’s emotional resonance. The music video was filmed, edited and directed by Maddox Messer.
Bassist, Maddox Messer, shared insights into the inspiration behind the song: “One more Time was written about relationships that had regrettably moved on. Personally, we felt that it was about trying to fix things too late. As the years went by we realized it had so much more meaning. Dealing with our own personal losses, wishing to see loved ones again, and wanting to be the person that they could rely on. One more time hits a heavy note of regret and longing for a second Chance to change things for the better.. Realizing the importance of fixing things now instead of putting them off.”
Messer’s ability to encapsulate raw emotion within their music has resonated with audiences, making their releases highly anticipated events. The band’s commitment to authenticity and relatable storytelling continues to solidify their place within the rock music landscape.

During an XXX-mas shopping excursion in NYC, members Andromeda Anarchia, Zac Ezrin, and Brendan McGowan raided the iconic Purple Passion Sex Shop in New York City and showcased their exciting finds with a spicy “What’s in My Bag” feature. You can watch the NSFW video at THIS LOCATION.
Folterkammer recently announced their new union with Century Media Records and unveiled a BDSM inspired new single, “Das Peitschengedicht,” which celebrates the female empowerment of whip-wielding Femdoms. The powerful track can be found along with a lyric video, which was created by Folterkammer drummer and video director Brendan McGowan, at THIS LOCATION.
The single is taken from the band’s forthcoming album, which serves as a counterpart to their 2020 debut, ‘Die Lederpredigt.’ The new record is another searing blend of modern black metal and classical music elements, lending to its Avant Garde sound. The music itself is elevated by frontwoman and vocalist Andromeda Anarchia’s dynamic vocal work as she juxtaposes her classical training as an opera singer with her hellfire screams, summoning a maelstrom of ethereal chaos. More information will be revealed soon – stay tuned!
“Das Peitschengedicht” is now available on all streaming services and can be heard HERE.
Speaking on the empowering themes of the “Das Peitschengedicht” and forthcoming record, Andromeda Anarchia eloquently explains, “This song is our kinky ode to the whip as a torture instrument, and a celebratory hymn to the practices of BDSM, particularly, Femdom. The whip, a symbol of domination, pain and humiliation, is described here not only as playful and kinky, but as a poetic enactment of pain through the depiction of female ferocity on a submissive man, whose back the Domme uses like a canvas.
“It is about this sensual overdrive of stimulation and literally describes the lustful use of a whip as a kind of ‘calligraphy brush’ to write a poem. The dominatrix verbally humiliates her subject while blood runs down his spine; his blood is the ink with which she paints and signs her artwork of pain and ecstasy.
“The song bridges both musically and thematically the old album (regarding a vicious, violent, and abusive ‘Bad Domme’ goddess) and the new one (featuring a badass, erotic ‘Good Domme’). This opens a new chapter with a change defined not only by the expanded instrumentation and new songwriting styles, but also by the way the described dominant female protagonist treats her subordinates and has refined her skills in humiliation games. It’s no longer about being a vicious, exploitative deity, but about being a sensual, naughty, self-confident, kinky lady who knows exactly what she wants, who celebrates female power, who sometimes flirts and cleverly provokes with historical and mythological anecdotes, and even more with her charm and sass.
“This bridging of the debut album and the new album is also reflected in the aesthetics of the video. In the words of our drummer and music video director Brendan McGowan: ‘The ‘Das Peitschengedicht’ video sets the dominating lyrics to footage from the 1922 classic ‘Haxan’ – whose famous images of devils and demons often overshadow the wicked women within it and their blasphemous behavior.'”

Hotly tipped Derbyshire rock n’ rollers These Wicked Rivers have announced details of a new UK headline tour kicking off in May, as well as a third single, ‘The Riverboat Man’, taken from their highly anticipated new album ‘Force of Nature.’ The new track, released on January 12th, is a barnstorming tale which celebrates the underdog spirit, and champions those who dare to be different.
‘The Riverboat Man’ is supported by a brand new video and sees the band continue the upward momentum generated by their recent December 2023 headline tour, which saw them sell out shows around the country and add yet more converts to the ever growing ‘Rivers Family’.
Vocalist/guitarist John Hartwell says of the new single: “On the surface it’s a story but, as always, it goes much deeper than that. Rich in metaphor, it explores the darkness and light within us all. It’s a blast to play live and it’s been great to see such positive audience reactions to it at our recent shows.”
Guitarist Arran Day is similarly excited about getting backon the road for the UK headline dates, which the band have dubbed the ‘Peace, Love & Lampshades Tour’: “‘The ‘Force of Nature’ tour was such a massive success for us in terms of getting out and playing for new faces in new places, so we really wanted to hit the road as soon as possible and do it all over again.
Fresh from the release of our second album ‘Force of Nature’ we’ll be bringing our signature stage show up and down the country, decorating each room as if it were 1974 and your nan’s just put the kettle on. In times of greed, turmoil and darkness let yourselves escape by joining us for a celebration of peace, love and of course… lampshades.”
Collectively These Wicked Rivers are aiming for the top. Described by Classic Rock Magazine as “The sound of what might’ve happened if Clutch got a bit stoned with Audioslave and Zakk Wylde – and then jammed late into the night”, the band blend subtle blues touches with a hard rock edge, adding soulful vocals to create a sound that is as dramatic as it is exhilarating.
Preaching a simple gospel of ‘peace, love and lampshades’ (a reference to the bands intimate stage set up), These Wicked Rivers have toured the length and breadth of the UK with the likes of Hayseed Dixie, Those Damn Crows, Phil Campbell & The Bastard Sons and Kira Mac, building a devoted fanbase and gaining new fans in every town and city they play. Now signed to the freshly minted Fat Earth Records label, the band are also setting their sights beyond the UK, with a debut European tour set for April

GENTLE GIANT release their video for ‘Two Weeks In Spain’, album ‘The Missing Piece‘ remixed by Steven Wilson is released on 16th Feb on Chrysalis Records.
In 1977 Gentle Giant recorded their ninth studio album “The Missing Piece”. It was a time of change. Punk, disco and rap were altering the musical landscape and even this well-established progressive rock band were willing to explore new directions. Side one saw them experimenting with quirky pop (“Two weeks in Spain”), a grandiose power ballad (“I’m turning around’), syncopated funk (“Who do you think you are?”) and even the punky aggression of “Betcha thought we couldn’t do it.” Meanwhile the call and response soul shouting of “Mountain Time” hearkened back to the “big sound” of their Simon Dupree R & B revue days.
Normal service was resumed on side two with some of their most sublime and intricate progressive stylings to date. The breezily baroque “As old as you’re young” led into the yearningly elegiac “Memories of Old Days” with a particularly heartfelt vocal from Derek Shulman. The percussive tour de force of “Winning” then set up the blazing finale of “For Nobody,” another mind blowing complex collection of driving intertwining riffs that the band would nonchalantly thunder through with apparent ease.
It remains a polarizing effort amongst fans to this day, some bemused by its diversity, others enchanted by its versatility and sense of humor. “The Missing Piece” certainly proves that Gentle Giant could play anything they set their minds to. It was the last Gentle Giant album to chart in the USA.
Award winning producer and musician Steven Wilson continues his association with the band, remixing the album in Dolby Atmos, Stereo and 5.1 surround sound. In addition, the digipak CD/Blu-ray version also contains an instrumental mix, the original 1977 stereo mix and videos for each track. All remixes except the Atmos contain a bonus track, a previously unreleased outtake of “Winning.”
Gentle Giant’s “The Missing Piece” Steven Wilson remix will be released on CD, 5.1 Blu-Ray and 180g vinyl on February 16, 2024.
