STRATUZ have released a music video for ‘Sodomized’, the track is taken from the band’s album Osculum Pacis.
STRATUZ emerged onto the metal scene in 1984 and quickly solidified their position as Venezuela’s most revered metal band. Their debut album, “In Nomine…” released in 1995, catapulted them to recognition and acclaim. Following a triumphant European tour in 1999, they signed with LSP-Company and released “Spirit Seduction,” which marked a new chapter in their musical journey. After a hiatus, the band reunited in 2019, pouring their passion into the creation of “Osculum Pacis,” which was unleashed upon the world in 2022. The album garnered international praise, securing the top spot on the Jacquin Ravens Top 50 Metal chart and earning accolades as the best work of 2022 by esteemed journalist Roberto Palmitesta and Metal Pedia.
The concept album Afterlife depicts an interdimensional being that stalks life in our universe because it represents a threat to existence itself. And the human species, or at least what it has become after the events described in the previous creations of Angel Rising, is now its target. The cover shows the hero, Asai, struggling with a horde of undead, and unaware of the even greater danger that awaits him.
Angel Rising is a one-man Death Metal project started in Marseille in 2020. Its main influences come from the old-school thrash/death scene (Sepultura, Metallica, Death). Still, it also gives pride of place to modern and progressive elements combined with a very technical and virtuoso approach.
CARRION have released a guitar playthrough video for ‘Mental Vortex’, the track taken from Carrion’s album “Morbid Nailgun Necropsy”, out via Wormholedeath Records.
“Morbid Nailgun Necropsy” was mixed And mastered by Kai Stahlenberg At Kohlekeller Studios”.
Now that the year fades, THE SILENT RAGE are more than happy to announce the final visual chapter for “Nuances of Life” album. This comes with the track “Crows Fly Back”, which was shot at the Hologram studios in Athens, Greece, with director Christos Doulgerakis (Badd Kharma, W.E.B.) & cinematographer Dimitris Marinis, produced by The Storyteller Studio. The makeup was made by Marigianna Noe.
“That’s another one of my favourite tracks on the album. “Crows Fly Back” inspired its title from the “Game of Thrones” series. This track contains different elements as an influence. For example, the main riffing comes from one of my favourite bands out there, Symphony X, while the chorus guitar melodies are also a small tribute to favourite melodic death metal band, Dark Tranquillity”, comments Nikos Siglidis.
“I really came up with the idea of George Haniotakis’ bass line starting the track, which eventually makes it the first ever The Silent Rage song starting like that. He really delivered a hell of a bass line in this track! Also, a great asset in this song is, without a doubt, the bombastic second solo performed by Nikos Sarbanis. He shows that this young guy has, certainly, A LOT of potential! Of course, the vocal melodies help a lot to make a clearer view and move the listener to sing along. This time too, the lyrics are written by Michalis Rinakakis exclusively”, Nikos Siglidis adds.
“The lyrics deal with the internal struggle people can have when presented with choices outside their comfort zone, choices between good and bad, hesitations about a path they are on, feelings of helplessness the more they think things over… and over again. Embracing the idea that they themselves are in charge of moving forward and summoning the strength to do so, may help them face their fears in order to overcome them”, Michalis Rinakakis adds.
Produced by Fotis Benardo (Nightfall, Septicflesh, Melechesh) at Devasoundz Studios (Athens) and mastered by George Nerantzis (Pain Of Salvation, Abbath, Nightrage), “Nuances Of Life” released in the following formats:
-vinyl (limited edition) -digipak CD -digital
The label on the album
“The Silent Rage is finally returning to deliver their flawless, hefty, fist-pumping melodic power metal.
“Nuances Of Life” combines the characteristic sound of classic metal, filled with blazing riffs and impressive melodies, combined with catchy and blistering vocal lines – courtesy of extraordinary new frontman Michalis Rinakakis.
Lyrically wise, “Nuances Of Life” deals with spreading out the deepest, well-hidden human emotions: tales about mighty heroes and distant lands as well as everyday issues that leave a deep scar in our hearts.
Get ready to a non-stop exciting headbanging experience!”

Today, LORD OF THE LOST revealed their covers album, Weapons Of Mass Seduction, wrapping up the band’s most successful year so far! Among other highlights, 2023 has seen LORD OF THE LOST hitting #1 on the official German album charts, representing Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest finals, many sold-out shows, providing tour support to legendary Iron Maiden (once again), and now the release of their first full covers album – exactly one year after the release of #1 album Blood & Glitter.
LORD OF THE LOST does not show any signs of slowing down in 2024 – on top of their fast-selling “15 Years of LORD OF THE LOST” tour that is approaching in spring as well as two dates in the US, the outfit has already been confirmed for several big festival performances. Listen to “Turbo Lover” below, make sure to get your copy of Weapons Of Mass Seduction, and grab your tickets for the upcoming live shows in the new year!
LORD OF THE LOST state: “During the production of our last album, Blood & Glitter, while recording our Roxette cover ‘The Look’ in Finland, it had already become clear that we had opened Pandora’s box. The energy and fun of covering the songs of beloved and respected colleagues and idols was something we were determined to continue. So even before the release of Blood & Glitter we started working on this ‘covers album’ project, which for us is the perfect dessert to Blood & Glitter, before we embark on the adventure of reinventing ourselves again for a new studio album.”
A year after the release of their successful #1 charting album, Blood & Glitter (Official German Album Charts), LORD OF THE LOST are back with a covers album, Weapons Of Mass Seduction, set to be released on December 29, 2023 via Napalm Records. The exciting new offering features plenty of genre-crossing tracks and wraps up the busiest year in the band’s history so far.
While the album is entirely composed of covers, Weapons Of Mass Seduction confirms LORD OF THE LOST’s creative ability to make even unexpected songs their own, and further confirms their status. The covers album comes in various different formats – some of them containing a second CD with 11 covers that are already released or have been played live. The deluxe boxset includes a third CD with 10 acoustic tracks, exclusively available in this format.
Weapons Of Mass Seduction features a wide range of songs from different eras and genres performed in true LORD OF THE LOST style, all surprisingly fitting for the band and hence forming a cohesive collection of covers. Classic heavy metal track “Turbo Lover”, originally by Judas Priest, meets modern pop hits in songs such as Sia’s “Unstoppable”, Bishop Briggs’ “River” and Zella Day’s “High”. Ultravox’ “Hymn”, followed by Michael Jackson’s legendary “Give In To Me” and Keane’s “Somewhere Only We Know”, expand the multifaceted selection even further. With added rougher elements such as heavier vocals, Bronski Beat’s captivating 80s electro pop hit “Smalltown Boy” gets a dark makeover in the hands of LORD OF THE LOST. An emotional version of The Pretty Reckless’ “House On A Hill” closes Weapons Of Mass Seduction impactfully.
A special 2CD edition of the new covers album provides a cross-cut of covers previously released or already covered live over the course of LORD OF THE LOST’s career. Among them are the Roxette cover “The Look” feat. Blümchen – already known from Blood & Glitter – “Children Of The Damned”, a homage to Iron Maiden, with whom LORD OF THE LOST experienced intense times during the last two years, and the cover of the Finnish ESC song “Cha Cha Cha” by Käärijä – sung by Chris Harms completely in Finnish.
