Chemtrails is one of the album’s heaviest tracks, and possibly one of the heaviest pieces Final Coil have ever written. Philip Stiles says; “There’s definitely some Killing Joke influence in there, not least in the vocal; while the relentless riff mirrors the overwhelming certainty implicit in the chorus – “but I won’t stop, they won’t drown me out, their lies spread, but I never doubt”. It’s a dark song, and while it’s great to play live, there’s a lingering air of violence that hangs over the piece that makes it slightly uncomfortable.”
He continues; “For the video, we worked hard to capture that same air of paranoia and violence in a short clip. We opted to show the album’s protagonist captured, interrogated and tortured about what he knows. It’s not clear whether this takes place in reality or in his mind, but what is clear is that there’s a palpable sense of fear whipped up by these narratives, with violence very often the outcome. The clip itself was filmed on an abandoned army base, which we took over for the day. Typically, we filmed in January, which meant I spent a fun hour, lying on the dirt in a straight jacket, essentially getting waterboarded. By the time the shooting ended, I was dirty and shaking so much I could barely get out of costume, but the effect was worth it, and it stands as the best video we have done to date.”

Revealing Chaos was born in 2021 from the meeting of Andrej Surace – guitar (former member of Heretic’s Dream) and Christian Bruno – bass (former member of Destiny). The strong human, character, and artistic affinity between the two determined a well-defined musical production. The direction they took is that of modern prog-rock/metal. The lyrics are autobiographical, aimed at expressing deep reflections related to life experiences, emotional difficulties, and complex personal situations. Thanks to their good technical preparation, they complete the arrangements using piano and synthesizer, with Christian himself as the lead vocalist. To complete the circle, drawn by the strong influence of Rush that permeates RC, Daniele Cortese (former member of Fenisia / Heretic’s Dream) joins on drums, and the band begins to prepare the material for the first album.
In 2022, Revealing Chaos signs with ELEVATE RECORDS for the distribution of the album “Materia,” which is released in July 2023 after the publication of two singles: “Shifted Foundations” and “Scorched,” which receive an excellent reception from the public.
Finnish melodic death metal band Beyond The Hate is set to release an anticipated debut album Darkest Times on March 8th 2024 via Inverse Records.
The second single ‘Alone I Die’ is released today with a stunning music video which can be seen below.

“The idea for the lyrics of the song was born when I was in a cabin in Finnish Lapland, thinking how wonderful a place it is for a person to be and why not to die. The song is not suicidal at all, and doesn’t contain a drop of self-pity. Rather, it is an honest, raw statement that this is where I will spend my time and I may not always have a partner with me.” says vocalist Niko Kalinainen
Bass player Mikko Monto states: “The bass riff in the intro of the song was a long time in the making process with the band and producer, and finally we got the right vibe to get the song off to a good start with the guitars. The interludes are also nice to play live and bring good variety to the song in addition with the beautiful slow end. I think the story is about how most of us do indeed die alone, with a lot of darkness, pain and death along the path of life. The song is also accompanied by a nice music video, directed and edited by Juha Sihtola of MadCamProduction. The video was shot in the Black Bear Hall in Kerava and in the beautiful forest and seaside scenery of Finland.”
Drummer Tommy Uhtio tells: “In our band we truly like powerful double kick drum sixteenth note single strokes. I think it is a repeating element in our songs and kind of a signature feature in Beyond the Hate’s music. The song “Alone I Die” is no exception to this. The verse is double bass driven heavy beat. Originally also the chorus was entirely double bass but during the drum recordings we felt that something was off. We change the chorus so that for the first four bars are basic drum beat and the following four bars are then again with the double bass drum pattern. This change really made a difference to the rhythm, dynamics and the groove of the song.”
QUEENSRŸCHE have released another thought-provoking video that was created by Above The Void with the help of AI. Check out “Nocturnal Lights”, the 8th video taken from Digital Noise Alliance, watch it below.
The band comments: “This is a song spawned from the truly catastrophic year of 2020. Beginning with Kobe Bryant’s helicopter crash to a relentless global pandemic with lockdowns. If that wasn’t enough, we had to endure natural disasters, racial injustices, protesters, a chaotic reality tv presidential election, political division, highest level of unemployment, as well as the postponement of the 2020 summer Olympic games in Japan.”
“Nocturnal Light” is taken from their latest album, Digital Noise Alliance, that was released in October of 2022. It is QUEENSRŸCHE’s 16th studio album and it continues their ever-evolving legacy. Once again teaming up with producer Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Hatebreed), “Digital Noise Alliance” not only refracts QUEENSRŸCHE’s past accomplishments but also pushes into the band’s future. It is the band effortlessly moving from strength to strength: immediate and thought-provoking.
”Digital Noise Alliance” is quintessentially QUEENSRŸCHE. Track to track it embodies the lush melodies, passion and intelligence that’s been the mark of the band since they first took hold of the flame with their hugely received self-titled 4-song EP in 1984.
Speaking of their legendary self-titled EP: Come March 2024 QUEENSRŸCHE will embark on “The Origins Tour” with Special Guests Armored Saint throughout USA and Canada. It will be the first time in their history that the EP and The Warning will be performed live in their entirety!
Join them for this unique and very special experience, as they celebrate the origins of QUEENSRŸCHE.

After some anticipations and two singles released in the past weeks, Unbroken Falsity “Live” is finally available today on all digital platforms. The new live album by HOLE IN THE FRAME features eight tracks of pure powerful, grooving, and modern alternative metal. Following the band’s entry into Volcano Records earlier this year, HOLE IN THE FRAME now concludes a memorable 2023 that saw them climbing the charts in terms of popularity and attention from both the national audience and industry professionals.
Despite originating from the challenging region of Molise, the group has settled a track-list of pure quality, unleashing all the anger and determination of those who, despite starting from a territory outside the influential circles, refuse compromises and demand space and visibility in the scene. Throughout the year, HOLE IN THE FRAME not only managed to release a series of refined metal singles that gained broad visibility in both national and international trade press, but also made an impact with dazzling live performances, including concerts alongside the American Metal Church and the legendary Atroci. Unbroken Falsity “Live” is a must-listen album that captures all the intensity and energy of a real metal concert, even if enjoyed comfortably in your living room or through headphones.
After the news that they’ll be releasing their next studio album “Mycelium” in January 2024 via Mighty Music, Danish prog/heavy metallers MANTICORA are now back with the second digital single and lyric video from the record. “Necropolitans” is the opening track of the album; a journey deep into the symphonic aspect of the Manticora musical universe. Indecently catchy and in-your-face. Just how you want an opening track!
The video was produced by Wayne Joyner, who has done artwork and videos for Dream Theater, Everdawn, ProgPower USA, Scar Symmetry, Static X and Sevendust, among others. “I’ve known Manticora for 18 years and given their history and musical endeavours, I added a Cthuluian vibe to the video – most of the video was created in Unreal Engine, to help tell the story visually and in 3D”, Joyner comments.
For the video premiere, MANTICORA teamed up with Metal Shock Finland, enjoy it below!
Thrash, prog, power, black, death + pure heavy metal and everything else, your metalheart desires, put into one album, is usually what Manticora is all about. The band, that started out in 1997 – nine albums ago – as a power metal outfit, has transformed and thereby developed their own unique style of heavy metal – a melting pot of everything you want to hear, as a genuine metal fan. Welcome to “Mycelium”
After their grandiose, critically acclaimed two-album concept from 2018/2020 plus a 334-page novel (written by the band’s singer Lars F. Larsen), which the albums were based on – the Danes have scaled down a bit and written another majestic concept album, but this time only spanning a 48-minute mark, in total.
“Mycelium”, the new opus, is less symphonic and with an angrier, raw approach, with aggressiveness as the main-focus. Manticora has created a DIY album, where the only outside influence has been the mastering (done by Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios). Everything else is crafted by the band: concept, lyrics, music, production, artwork – you name it, Manticora provides.
High-octane metal, which is only recommended for the strong at heart.
“Mycelium” will be released on CD, LP (black vinyl, limited to 500) and digital formats via Mighty Music on January 26th, 2024.
Lineup: Kristian Larsen – guitars Lars F. Larsen – vocals Stefan Johansson – guitars Kasper Gram – bass
