Gothenburg-based SIX FOOT SIX – led by former Falconer’s frontman Kristoffer Göbel – have released a a video for ‘Tears’, third single taken from the new album ‘Beggar’s Hill’ to be released on December 8th via Scarlet Records.
Pure anthemic heavy metal at its best: ‘Beggar’s Hill’ is the third Six Foot Six record and the most coherent of their works until this date.
Influenced by classic bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Metallica, it’s a guitar and vocal melody-driven album, but still with a powerful up-to-date sound.
The catchy songs take you on a melancholic journey through salt-beaten winding seaside cliffs, medieval battles, decrepitude and abandonment, cinematic glimpses and the general state of the world – a planet of war, love, pollution and wonders!
All drums are tracked by the legendary Snowy Shaw, as a special guest, and he puts his unmistakable mark on the entire album.

Then I got what they call a living donor transplant, somebody gave up 63% of their liver. They went into the operating room before me at 7:00am I went in at 9:00am they were out at noon I was in there till uh I think I got out at like 10:00pm at night. It was something that you didn’t ask for but it was I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. “

Finnish progressive rock masters Von Hertzen Brothers have announced the release of their magical live performance at Tavastia, Finland, recorded earlier this year. Performing songs across their extensive catelogue, Live at Tavastia will be released as a live album on 16th February, and the concert will also be available to watch as an on-demand stream.
To celebrate the announcement, the band have unveiled a wonderful taster of what to expect from Live at Tavastia with a single and video for the live version of ‘You Don’t Know My Name’.
Vocalist / guitarist Mikko von Hertzen commented: “There are a couple of things that we hear a lot on our tours around the world. One of them is, “I really like your studio albums, but now I’ve seen you play live, I get your band on a whole different level.” We have been talking about releasing a live recording for as long as I can remember, and towards the end of our post-pandemic tour we decided to record and shoot a gig at our home venue here in Helsinki. There’s no such thing as a ‘regular VHB gig’, since for us, every night is always different and special. The night at Tavastia in February 2023 was an electrifying one and we hope that you get transported into that magical world through this recording. Play it loud!“
Live at Tavastia will be released as a limited edition (1000) gatefold double vinyl LP, limited edition (1000) gatefold double CD, and on all streaming platforms.

Progressive metal group Vordona return with their new single, Unspoken, that comes with a statement from their singer, Ali Abu Ali, about the new song.
“Being born into a refugee family of a nation fighting genocide and racism for the last 75 years, ‘Rage’ is one of the first things you become aware of, as it grows and storms endlessly with every new atrocity you witness. Then you quickly come to realize all the complicit parties are benefiting from the ongoing slaughter, while the liberation of the Palestinian people would only benefit the people, who are irrelevant in the game played by world leaders until they force their vote in with real activism. This song is a mere spill from the storm raging in a Palestinian.”
2005 founded industrial influenced metal band Kaos Krew from Finland has returned to its roots as a one man band with its upcoming sixth album “Blackout”. The full length will be released in December 15th 2023. All of the songs are made and performed by the bands founder Ulf Skog accompanied with a number of visiting session musicians.
Ulf Skog tells about the single: “I would rather leave this for the listener to interpret what this song is about, could be about a train journey to the front line and the experiences of war but could also be about a person that feels like an outsider in the society.”
