Drummer Jeramie Kling has decided to part ways with Venom inc. due to logistical reasons.
He shared: “This has been an incredible journey that has taken me around the world! I have seen countries I had never been to, met wonderful friends and had a blast doing it! I am proud of what we created on “There’s Only Black” as well as the countless shows we have played over the years.
Very special thanks to all of the Venom fans that have accepted and welcomed me into the legacy. I will forever cherish your support.”
Set to release their third full-length “Chimaira” this coming January on Rockshots Records, STONE HORNS are unveiling the second single “Chrysalis”, which ventures into uncharted vocal territory for frontman David Viard. With its big Machine Head inspiration, it’s a track whose verses are almost rapped, with a groove that’s always very present, right through to the melodic chorus.
Founded in 2016 in Marseille, France, Stone Horns has been unleashing groove death metal since debuting “The Beast Inside” released in 2018, along with 2021’s “Rise of Apophis”. The band’s third album “Chimaira” features seven groove-laden hell-bent tracks, that tell the story of an odyssey of being rejected by all and thirsting for revenge. It explores life’s thirst for recognition, whatever its form. Through its various acts, the story continues in different states, colors, and landscapes. A raw, merciless finality that leaves little room for breath in this torment of violence.
“We’re all chasing a chimera, but isn’t it the chimera that’s chasing us? That’s the question this album tries to answer, combining freshness and warmth, violence and peace, waves, and digressions.” adds the band.
With their headbanging groove, this third studio offering “Chimaira” is a culmination of all the band’s experiments to date. This is the band’s most accomplished album to date, both in terms of composition and production. The band’s long-time fans will be satisfied, but they also hope to bring in new fans with this record, with a slightly more modern production. Each track has its own universe on this full length, but it’s also part of a whole, because like their previous albums, “Chimaira” is a concept album.
“There’s something for every metal taste and color. The aim of this album is for fans of every sub-genre of metal to be able to say to themselves at some point when listening to it: “I really like that beat”. “Chimaira” is a bit like the child of “The Beast Inside” (2018) and “Rise of Apophis” (2021)”. says the band.
Recommended listening for fans of Machine Head, Devildriver, Slipknot, Lamb of God, and Jinjer, Stone Horns’ third full-length, due out on January 26, 2024, via Rockshots Records, is available for pre-order at https://bit.ly/ChimairaCD.

In a harmonious blend of rock and soul, Warren Haynes proudly releases the first single from ‘The Benefit Concert Volume 20,’ a soul-stirring rendition of Fleetwood Mac‘s “Gold Dust Woman.” Performed alongside My Morning Jacket‘s Jim James and the enchanting Grace Potter, this track sets the stage for the electrifying live album recorded at the 30th Annual Christmas Jam on December 7th and 8th, 2018 in Asheville, North Carolina. The trio brings a raw, magnetic energy to the classic song, creating a version that resonates with both nostalgia and fresh, fiery passion.
“Gold Dust Woman,” with its haunting harmonies and gritty guitar riffs, captures the essence of the historic event—celebrating the joy of live music and the power of collaboration. This release not only pays homage to the legendary roots of the song but also spotlights the chemistry between these acclaimed artists. Each voice melds seamlessly with the others, against the backdrop of Haynes’ masterful guitar work, to reinterpret this timeless hit for a new generation of listeners.
The full album, ‘The Benefit Concert Volume 20,’ due out December 8th via Evil Teen Records/Mascot Label Group, is an anthology of these unforgettable moments. It’s a sonic journey through the night’s most memorable performances, encapsulating the spirit of giving, community, and music. This collection not only serves as a historical record of one of the most significant musical events in Asheville, but also stands as a beacon of what can be achieved when artists unite for a cause greater than themselves.
This importance is further underscored by the concert’s longstanding impact on the local community, having raised over $2.8 million for the Asheville AreaHabitat for Humanity. ‘The Benefit Concert Volume 20’ isn’t just a celebration of Warren Haynes’ three decades of musical gatherings; it’s a continuation of a legacy that uplifts, unites, and gives back.
In addition to Haynes, James and Potter, other featured artists on the forthcoming set include Dave Grohl, Eric Church, Joe Bonamassa, Gov’t Mule, Mike Gordon,Marco Benevento, Jamey Johnson, Edwin McCain, Kevn Kinney, Tyler Ramsey, Scott Murawski, and Ron Holloway, along with Machan Taylor, Mini Carlsson, Mike Barnes, and Ray Sisk sitting in with Gov’t Mule. ‘The Benefit Concert Volume 20’ will be available physically on four different double vinyl volumes (in different colors: purple, orange, blue, red), 2-CD + DVD set, and 3-CD + 2 Blu-ray set, along with a digital-only format. Bundles are also available now to pre-order.
Starting in December of 1988, Warren Haynes launched what would become a cherished tradition in his hometown of Asheville, North Carolina. Despite its name, the “Christmas Jam” was less about festive tunes and more about gathering local musicians to celebrate the holidays and give back to the community. Over 30 years later, this humble event transformed into a nationally recognized spectacle, raising over $2.8 million for Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity and the construction of over 50 homes in the region. Reflecting on its growth, Haynes notes, “As an Ashevillean, it’s heartening to see the progress Asheville has witnessed over these three decades. In many ways, Christmas Jam mirrors this city’s vibrant spirit.”
‘The Benefit Concert Volume 20’ stands out not only as a testament to three decades of musical celebrations, but also the enduring spirit of Christmas Jams. Throughout the years, it’s the impromptu collaborations (often times between artists and musicians meeting backstage or on stage), the unwavering commitment of all participants, and the unity in music that truly define this legacy.
“Although Christmas Jam, the main event, is traditionally a one-night event, there have been three occasions where we felt the need to make it two nights — the 20th, 25th, and 30th Anniversaries, each of which featured extraordinary line-ups,” Haynes adds. “The performances being represented in this package are culled from the 30th Anniversary in 2018, which was in itself a milestone for ‘the Jam.’ However, its importance is amplified by the fact that the next year we would take a well-deserved break with every intention of resuming business as usual in 2020, not knowing that 2020 would bring about the COVID-19 pandemic which affected not just the music business, but the entire world. Thankfully, we were able to bring it back in 2022 with a stellar lineup and will continue on this year with another memorable event. It feels great to be back.”
Warren Haynes is a cornerstone of the American music landscape, lauded as one of the most formidable guitarists and vocalists of our time. His prolific career includes his tenure with the Allman Brothers Band and The Dead and as a founding member of Gov’t Mule. Produced by Haynes and executive produced by Stefani Scamardo, ‘The Benefit Concert Volume 20’ shines a light on the enduring appeal of live music and the camaraderie it fosters.
Christmas Jam returns for the 32nd annual event on December 9th, 2023. Visit http://www.xmasjam.com for ticketing details and to purchase.
Swedish Black ‘n’ Rollers THE VICE are thrilled to announce the release of their highly anticipated new album “Dead Canary Run”. The album will be released via Noble Demon on January 19 and will mark the first time in The Vice‘s history that their music will be available on vinyl. Listen to the first single “Grant Me Your Peace” HERE.
Building upon the foundations set by their previous work – the band’s unique blend of filthy rock, blackened metal, and death-ridden pop – “Dead Canary Run” takes listeners down a deranged path that The Vice has masterfully crafted over the years. With an eclectic mix of genres thriving like never before, the album promises to captivate fans with its raw energy and infectious melodies. While some elements may feel familiar, there are numerous new levels that The Vice has reached with this upcoming offering. Collaborating with an old partner in crime, Joel Öhman, who added his piano skills to a couple of songs, The Vice emerged from studio “Underjord” late this Summer with an album they couldn’t be more proud of. “Dead Canary Run” serves as a testament to the band’s growth since their recent full-length album “White Teeth Rebellion”, showcasing their passion and determination, with their amps cranked up to 11.
In preparation for the album release, The Vice is currently in full rehearsal-mode, gearing up for an exciting lineup of live performances in 2024. While maintaining their signature style, the upcoming chapter of the band promises to be both familiar and completely different – just fucking better.

The band comments: “The release of our third album ‘Dead Canary Run’ is closing in and as a first peek under its skirt we present ‘Grant me your peace’. And what better way to introduce a song about obliterating the past?! Drenched in the blood and sweat we’ve put into this record it takes our mean blend of blackened metal, sinister pop and ferocious rock n roll to new territories once again. They have been credited, along with Testament, Destruction, Death Angel and Dark Angel, for leading the second wave of thrash metal in the late 1980s. In 2019, SACRED REICHreleased their first record in twenty-three years: “Awakening”. Showcasing everything a fan would expect and hope for from the Phoenix, Arizona unit, “Awakening” is a timeless collection comprised of blistering thrash, crushing grooves, meticulous solos, and socially conscious lyrics. The return of Dave McClain, who manned the drum throne from 1991 to 1997, and the addition of twenty-two-year old guitarist Joey Radziwill, alongside original members guitarist Wiley Arnett and vocalist/bassist Phil Rind, are integral facets of the record. “Awakening” was produced by Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Cavalera Conspiracy), engineered by John Aquilino, and mastered by Maor Appelbaum (Faith No More, Halford, Armored Saint).
Featuring medieval metal masters TANZWUT, industrial dark rock and metal act SCHATTENMANN has released a stunning cover version of “Komet”, originally performed by German rap artist Apache 207 and music icon Udo Lindenberg! By now ranking as one of the most sucessful German singles to date, there has never been such a version of the track yet. SCHATTENMANN and TANZWUT managed to add their very own, unique touch to “Komet”.
“I grew up in the former GDR”, TANZWUT frontman Teufel comments. “Udo Lindenberg and Rio Reiser was the first German rock music I heard from the West in the late 1970s. It has had a huge impact on me to this day. It is an incredible experience for me to interpret this song together with Schattenmann.”
SCHATTENMANN frontman Frank Herzig adds: “Komet is an incredibly great song, with very emotional lyrics and a deep message for me. It was a beautiful musical journey and an honor to do this metal cover with Tanzwut. I still get goosebumps when I think about hearing the chorus finished for the first time and how our two voices harmonize together.”
Their cover version of “Komet” is now available on all digital services at: https://schattenmann.bfan.link/komet, a music video is now premiering here:
In the summer of 2023, SCHATTENMANN released their chart-topping, fourth studio album, Día de Muertos, viaAFM Records. With a phenomenal #10, it marked the band’s highest chart entry in the German album charts to date.
With their unique sound and profound music, SCHATTENMANN has become one of the most promising bands in the German metal scene. Chaos, the band’s 2021-album, has already seen them unmistakably showcase: SCHATTENMANN‘s sound became heavier, more metallic, more multifaceted and uncompromising in terms of content. “We wish, that our fans are touched by our music and take something out of it for themselves personally,” Herzig recently said. “We want to arouse emotions, from good mood to anger, but at the same time it can also be melancholic or thoughtful.”
With Día de Muertos, SCHATTENMANN has purposefully expanded their sound to include modern and enthralling elements through the influences of metal and industrial, and their new record won’t make any exceptions. The album promises to take dark rock and metal enthusiasts on an even more intense journey and solidify their already strong presence in the world of heavy music!
