PRIDE OF LIONS, led by Jim Peterik and Toby Hitchcock, are proud to release their new album, ‘Unbridled,’ out now via Frontiers Music Srl. Produced by Jim Peterik and mixed by Larry Millas, ‘Unbridled’ marks the eighth studio album from PRIDE OF LIONS. To mark the release, the band also unveils the new single “I’ll Be Your Rock,” alongside an official visualizer, available below.
On the new track, Jim Peterik shares:
“‘I’ll Be You Rock’ by PRIDE OF LIONS is our song about the strength two people can possess when they join forces as a team. Karen and I will have been husband and wife for 54 years this September 2nd and still going strong. We are truly each other’s fortress. ‘You’ll be my rock- you’ll be my fortress- you’ll be my strength to run any length- my torch in the darkness,’ when you find your soul mate you’ll both be standing tall forever. Rock on!”
With ‘Unbridled,’ legendary AOR torchbearers PRIDE OF LIONS return with their eighth studio album, a commanding statement from one of melodic rock’s most enduring acts. Since their formation in 2003 by Jim Peterik — the songwriting force behind anthems like “Eye of the Tiger” and “The Search Is Over” — and powerhouse vocalist Toby Hitchcock, PRIDE OF LIONS have been celebrated for fusing classic melodic sensibilities with modern rock energy. Over two decades later, they remain at the forefront of the genre, consistently delivering songs that resonate with depth, emotion, and unforgettable hooks.
‘Unbridled’ is a 12-track journey that showcases the band’s remarkable craft. Every element of the lineup shines: Ed Breckenfeld’s driving drums and percussion lay a solid foundation; Mike Aquino’s lead and acoustic guitars deliver both fire and finesse; Bob Lizik’s bass anchors each arrangement with strength and groove; and Jim Peterik’s keyboards and secondary guitar add lush melodic layers. The signature dual vocal performances from Peterik and Hitchcock — alternately commanding, expressive, and harmonically rich — elevate the songs to new heights.
The album is mixed by longtime collaborator Larry Millas, whose work brings clarity, depth, and punch to every track. Standout singles like the title track “Unbridled” — with its striking guitar intro and immediate melodic hook — and “Edge of Forever” underline the band’s ability to craft timeless rock songs that feel both classic and contemporary.
Through ‘Unbridled,’ PRIDE OF LIONS reaffirm their status as masters of melodic rock and AOR. It’s an album that will satisfy longtime fans while serving as a powerful introduction for new listeners, showcasing a band that continues to evolve without ever losing its core identity.

SIGNUM REGIS was founded in 2007 and stands for finest melodic Power Metal with both progressive and symphonic elements. Their upcoming new and eighth studio album „Beyond Spacetime“ will be released on October 9th through their new label partner Fireflash Records.
„Beyond Spacetime“ will feature different vocalists. Among them their current singer Mayo Petranin, who just returned to the band, his successor Jota Fortinho as well as top class names, such as Ripper Owens (ex-JUDAS PRIEST), Matt Smith (THEOCRACY), Ralf Scheepers (PRIMAL FEAR), Johnny Gioeli (HARDLINE, AXEL RUDI PELL), Tasos Lazaris (STEEL ARCTUS, WHITE WIZZARD), David Åkesson (SYMPHONITY, QUANTICE), but also Victor Smolski (ALMANAC, ex-RAGE), with a guitar solo on the first single-release „Throne Of Gold“.
Today, the band releases their third single and video for the song “Echoes of Glory“, featuring Jota Fortinho & Mayo Petranin.
“As most of our fans know, we started working on the “Beyond Spacetime” album with an incomplete line-up. We didn’t have a permanent singer, so we decided to approach it the same way we did with the “Exodus” album back in 2013, by inviting guest singers. However, then life happened and arranged everything for us in a very special way: during the recording process, we reconnected with two of our former singers, Mayo Petranin and Jota Fortinho, and together we decided it would be amazing to welcome both of them back into the band. To celebrate and highlight this reunion, we did a brand-new song featuring both of them singing together. The title of the song is “Echoes of Glory” This reunion isn’t just for this one track — it’s for the years to come! The line-up you see in the video is the one that will also play live”, comments the band.
Today, SIGNUM REGIS also kick-off the album pre-order for “Beyond Spacetime“, which is released on a CD Jewelcase (with the exclusive bonus-track “Tell Our Fears Goodbye” feat. Johnny Gioeli on vocals) and on a limited, colored (sunny yellow) Vinyl version, incl. a signed autograph card.
„We are so satisfied and proud of it! Even though the last 3 years were not easy for the band, this is definitely not just a “next” Signum Regis” album, we are a band, we are always aiming to create something special – for us, and for fans“, comments guitarist Filip Koluš, who also mixed and produced the album, having a clear vision, „that it will be completely different compared to our common production and we wanted to keep it in the way we saw it as a musicians. We jumped out of our basic style, we were experimenting with new things in the studio a lot, we teleported King Rex from the ground to space – which sounds crazy, but that’s how it was supposed to be!“ The final mastering was given into the hands of Miro Kiiski (BEAST IN BLACK, HYPOCRISY a.o.), which was another perfect match.
„Beyond Spacetime“ is full of diversity. You will find uptempo power metal hymns, epic and progressive tracks, true metal fist-raisers, neo-classic inspired stuff and beautiful ballads. All the different voices fit perfectly, although this wasn’t supposed in the first place.“Originally, the entire album was supposed to be sung by Jota Fortinho, but unfortunately, in 2024 he decided to leave the band. The album was already 80% instrumentally written and recorded, ready for the vocal recordings. Afterwards, we really wrote a list of singers who, from our perspective, would be ideal for the sound and meaning of each song. We didn’t set any barricades – we also wrote down the names of top singers, in many cases our all-time favourites, on who we basically grew up. We were shocked and extremely happy that we finally approached practically all the singers and none of them turned down the offer! So in the end, we have basically the album of our dreams on the table, as collaborating with singers like Ralf Scheepers, Tim Ripper Owens, Johnny Gioeli or Matt Smith is a dream come true for us. They are all legends and big professionals“, says Filip Koluš, who is also happy that both Jota and Mayo can be heard on the album, even united in the track „Echoes Of Glory“. „Both are super-important for the band and we are like a family. Jota did an awesome performance in 2 songs, but unfortunately his personal situation is not allowing him to be a part of our band right now. Mayo is our brother, he was singing in SR during probably the most successful periods of the band until now. Nowadays, we are having live rehearsals together. We are sure that Mayo will be our lead singer for the upcoming gigs.“
SIGNUM REGIS was always connected to fantasy lyrics, legends and myths. On „Beyond Spacetime“ they even go further, right into space, but also back in time. „Just as much as with the music, on the new album we pushed the envelope with the lyrics as well. On „Beyond Spacetime“ they reflect both personal and universal experiences. You will certainly find some of the most daring, introspective lyrics ever to appear on our albums. We did not hold back! At the same time, some tracks open gates to the most intense challenges ever relevant to any human being throughout history. While the title track has indeed placed us on a star map of the universe, with another we ended up falling deep down to the bottom of the rabbit hole. Buckle up, folks“, says Tommy König, who wrote parts of the lyrics.
The songs of the album sound fresh, but few of them have a long history behind, just like „Midnight Train“, „Back To Zero“, „Throne Of Gold“ a.o. They somehow went beyond spacetime. „The diversity of the new album is also reflected in the timeline within which the individual songs were originally composed. You can find some great songs there that were recorded many years ago by the band that preceded Signum Regis, but have now been rearranged to fit our style. The first one, ‘Throne of Gold’, is a pounding anthem featuring a guitar solo by Victor Smolski and vocals by our great friend Matt Smith, well known from Theocracy. The second one, a real banger called ‘Back to Zero’, was written byour original drummer and a great friend of ours, Luděk Struhař. Then there is a whole collection of songs Filip composed in his teenage years. ‘Midnight Train’, originally an instrumental piece played on classical guitar, has now been rearranged with vocals and nostalgically tells the story of an old man waiting for his last train. ‘Into the Rabbit Hole’ and ‘A Dream or Two’ are also part of this group. On top of that, there is a whole bunch of brand-new tracks reflecting the period that more or less followed the Undivided release: ‘Time to Pay’, ‘Waterfall’, ‘Morning Dawn’ and ‘Beyond Spacetime’. Finally, there are two tracks that stand out because of the stories behind them. ‘Tell Our Fears Goodbye’ is an acoustic piece composed by Filip and dedicated to his wife, while ‘Echoes of Glory’ features a duet sung by both Mayo and Jota.”
„Beyond Spacetime“ is rounded up by an excellent artwork from Uwe Jarling, known for his work for acts like HEAVEN’S GATE,GRAVE DIGGER or recently FRONT ROW WARRIORS. „Uwe will always be special to us! With „Undivided“ he created an iconic image, bringing to life the character representing our band, King Rex. Compared to „Undivided“, where we relied heavily on his advice, „Beyond Spacetime“ resulted from intensive communication in which every detail was discussed and agreed upon. Fortunately, Uwe has been extremely supportive throughout the process, and the result is nothing short of awesome! We are definitely a band that considers the artwork a very important part of our artistic vision. Over the years this approach has only grown stronger, so having a real cover artist has become an absolute must for us“, comments Tommy.
SIGNUM REGIS will celebrate their 20th anniversary next year. „Beyond Spacetime“ already feels like kind of a best-of journey through their past, present and future. „We grew up on the values of traditional melodic metal – this focus will most probably never change“, says Filip Koluš and explains: „At the same time, we are also a group of great friends, who have a common goal – to make the best quality metal music together. We never set any barriers, as we believe that music should be an art and freedom first and foremost. Proof of this is our new album, which sounds mostly very different from our previous releases. Despite this, we are absolutely proud of it and the result was fully under control from the beginning to the end of the process, which took around 3 years. What to expect in the future? We do not know exactly, but we will stick to our values for sure.“

About HYPOCRISY:
HYPOCRISY has a 30-year history with 12 albums, hundreds of gigs all over the world, and thousands of fans. This influential Swedish death metal band started from the will of one person, and this person’s name was (and is) Peter Tägtgren (HYPOCRISY, THE ABYSS, PAIN, ex-LINDEMANN). Having made the first demos all by himself, after getting an offer from Nuclear Blast, he invited musicians to form an actual band.
Since then, HYPOCRISY gained success with its records and rocking live performances, and evolved musically and conceptually. Heavy and rich sound with catchy melodic riffs, crushing drum fills, obscure lyrics and versatile vocal parts became a signature style of the band. Its discography from debut Penetralia to the recent Worship, through such legendary albums as The Fourth Dimension, Abducted, and Virus, is indeed a thrilling metal journey. A journey that continues.
Today, apart from Peter, the band consists of Mikael Hedlund (bass), who joined HYPOCRISY back in 1991. Guitarist Thomas Elofsson is a session member since 2013. In 2022, the band was joined by a session drummer Henrik Axelsson.
Don’t let the name ‘Hypocrisy’ trick you: Peter Tägtgren stays true to himself, to the music and the fans, never stops creating, and never settles for less than perfect.
Michigan metalcore force Of Virtue have announced ‘The End’, the explosive first single from their forthcoming album Death Of The Altar, set for release on 2nd October via Arising Empire.
Simultaneously launching the album preorder, the track serves as both a statement of intent and a thematic cornerstone for the record, transforming existential chaos into a darkly euphoric celebration of unity, resilience and emotional honesty. Balancing punishing heaviness with soaring melody, ‘The End’ captures the unmistakable sound of a band entering its most confident chapter yet.
On the arrival of Death Of The Altar, co-vocalist and guitarist Damon Tate poses the central questions that shaped the record: “How far are you willing to go to get what you want? Who will you hurt in order to survive? Is everything you have worth the pieces of yourself given up along the way?” He describes the album as “the culmination of many emotional chapters for all of us” and the symbolic continuation of the themes introduced on Omen.
Rather than dwelling on failure, Death Of The Altar explores the painful realization that the things we cherish most can also become the things that hurt us the deepest. Through themes of identity, unrealistic expectations, toxic relationships and the search for belonging, the album confronts the systems that shape us while encouraging listeners to question who and what they trust. As Tate explains, “This record is our band’s ego death. This record is a rude awakening to be cautious of who and what you trust with your energy and spirit.” Ultimately, Death Of The Altar stands as “a sobering reminder of one very important thing. Be careful what you wish for. As it may come true and become a nightmare that is impossible to escape”.
Reflecting on the song itself, Damon Tate explains: “There have been so many days where I have felt apathetic to the world around me, constantly being bombarded by politics, social media and the strain of everyday life to the point of feeling numb. We wanted to make a record that encapsulates the feeling of being frustrated and tricking yourself into believing there is nothing you can do to fix that. In the end, one of the things that matters most is spending time with the ones you care about and making the most of the one life we are given. Think of this song as ‘the last party on Earth’. If the world were going to come to an end, I’d want to be surrounded by loved ones doing what I love and having tried my very best to spread that love to others”.
Finnish melodic death metal force SIGYN have released their sophomore full-length album “From Nation To Chaos”, which is out today via Noble Demon!
Following the strong momentum of their acclaimed 2023 debut “Dehumanized”, which secured a place in Kaaoszine’s Top 10 Albums of the Year, SIGYN return with a powerful new chapter that further cements their place among Finland’s most promising melodic death metal acts.
01. A New Nation 02. Blind Prophet 03. Break These Chains 04. Creating My Own Chaos 05. The Crawlers 06. Illusion Of Justice 07. Fallen Monuments 08. I Am Nothing 09. World In Flames

Drawing inspiration from the early 2000s Finnish metal scene, the band fuses intensity and atmosphere into a modern yet unmistakably classic melodic death metal sound.
With “From Nation To Chaos”, SIGYN continue to refine their identity – combining soaring melodies, relentless riffing, and an epic sense of scale that will appeal to fans of Children Of Bodom, Wintersun, Arch Enemy, Nightwish, Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir, and Cradle Of Filth.
