Dutch heavy hardcore outfit TRENCHWAR have signed with Time To Kill Records, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the collective and setting the stage for the release of their debut full-length album, expected in the coming months. First details on the record, alongside the premiere of its lead single, will be revealed shortly.
Formed as an unholy alliance of seasoned veterans from the hardcore and metal underground, TRENCHWAR bring together current and former members of influential acts such as Backfire, Born From Pain, Cliteater, Herder, No Turning Back, Reaching Forward and Modern Life Is War. Built on this deep-rooted experience, the band delivers a harsh and uncompromising form of metal-influenced heavy hardcore, shaped by a darker and more introspective edge. Their sound combines raw, physical aggression with dense, ominous riffing, resulting in a style that both acknowledges its origins and pushes into more suffocating territory.
The project initially took shape with the recording of “Seismic Upheaval”, a six-track statement that established the foundation of the band’s identity. That groundwork has now evolved into “Overlords of Cold”, the first full-length written collectively by the complete lineup. The album expands and sharpens the band’s vision, fusing the crushing weight of the NOLA tradition with the unrelenting force of 1990s hardcore, evoking the spirit of bands such as Integrity, Cold as Life and Merauder.
With this signing, TRENCHWAR join the roster of Time To Kill Records, further cementing their position within the international heavy hardcore and extreme music underground.
Line-up:
Ché Snelting – Vocals (formerly of Born From Pain, Herder, Arma Gathas) Harm Haverman – Lead guitar (formerly of Reaching Forward, Modern Life Is War, Backfire!) Ivan Cuijpers – Guitar (formerly of Cliteater) Giel Blankers – Bass guitar, vocals (formerly of No Turning Back, Backfire!) Pieter Hendriks – Drums (formerly of Reaching Forward, Born From Pain)
Finnish rock band Lobster returned in April after a three-year hiatus. Having rediscovered the joy of making music, the band marked its comeback with the release of the single “Baby I’m Yours Tonight.” This time around, Lobster has taken on Don Henley’s iconic 1980s hit “The Boys of Summer.”
The same genuine, human, and approachable energy that reignited the band this spring is pushed even further on the new single. In Lobster’s hands, “The Boys of Summer” becomes an extremely energetic, hard-rocking, high-octane reinterpretation. While paying respect to the song’s classic melody, the band brings it firmly into the present day with a considerably heavier approach.
Lobster also released an action-packed video for ”The Boys of Summer,” its eventful story keeping the viewer hooked until the very last second.
The track showcases Lobster’s trademark strengths: powerful vocals, driving guitar riffs, catchy harmonies, and a solid rhythmic foundation.
“The new single was made with a spirit that is, above all, a lot of fun to play, and one that is guaranteed to put listeners in a good mood,” says the band’s drummer, Zeko Takamäki.
Once again, the band has enlisted some of the industry’s most respected professionals to ensure a high-quality and polished sound. The track was mixed by Mikko Karmila (Finnvox) and mastered by the legendary Björn Engelmann (Cutting Room), known for his work with artists such as ABBA, Roxette, and Rammstein.
Founded in 2015, Lobster has released three full-length albums during its career: Carousel (2016), Killing Silence (2018), and Love, Respect & Rock’n’Roll (2023).
BAALZAGOTH is a blackened death metal band from Kostrzyn nad Odrą, Poland, combining the brutality of death metal with the dark atmosphere of black metal. Drawing inspiration from bands such as Morbid Angel, Incantation, Immolation and Hate Eternal, the group delivers heavy, uncompromising and intense compositions with an anti-religious edge.
The new album “No God, No Savior” is the band’s most refined and extreme release to date — a conceptually cohesive record filled with massive riffs, dense atmosphere and relentless energy.
The album was produced by Filip Hałucha at Heinrich House Studio, known for his work with bands such as Azarath, Behemoth and Hate. Guest vocals were contributed by Ika Klimaszewska (soprano vocals), while the drum recordings were handled by Mikołaj Kiciak (Blindead 23, Leash Eye).
As the band comments: “No God, No Savior is a manifesto of extremity — no compromises, no god, no salvation.”

Ukrainian modern metal four-piece IGNEA explores nostalgia in all its forms on their upcoming studio album, Monumental, set for release on October 23, 2026, via Napalm Records. Following Dreams of Lands Unseen (2023), the Ukrainian four-piece navigate through unique facets of the past across nine tracks—from the grandeur and ambition of Cold War space dreams to the melancholy of urban decay and forgotten modernist structures, all the way to the emotional weight of personal and collective memory. All lyrics on Monumentalwere written by vocalist Helle Bohdanova. The music was composed by keyboardist Yevhenii Zhytniuk, with additional contributions from Helle Bohdanova. Mixing and mastering were handled by Grammy Award-nominated producer Jacob Hansen, known for his work with bands such as DELAIN, Amaranthe, Volbeat, Amon Amarth, Arch Enemy, and Epica.
On Monumental, IGNEA takes the listener on nostalgic rides, with all their ups and downs, expressed in music and lyrics, carrying a sense of gentle sadness and reflection, as nostalgia can bring back beautiful memories, darkened by the awareness that these moments will never happen again.
Helle Bohdanova says about Monumental: “Back in the 17th century, nostalgia was considered a deadly disease—and in many ways, it still is. It’s a universal feeling experienced by every human being, pulling us toward a past that felt gentler than it truly was, especially during the bitter moments of the present. Much of this album was inspired by modernist architecture—concrete giants built to signal progress and a brighter future, now slowly decaying. They’ve become a sort of memory box: monuments to unrealized dreams, where the future that was once imagined never arrived, yet continues to echo through the ruins and bright mosaics.”
Monumental is IGNEA’s second full-length album that was written during the full-scale war in Ukraine. The recording process mostly took place in the winter of 2025-2026, during icy temperatures and long power outages in Kyiv.
Monumental tracklisting:
Darkness
Dreams of Lands Unseen
Presence of the Past
Prefab (feat. Combichrist)
What Buildings Dream of
I am in Hell
Between No Longer and Not Yet
Harmony Manufactured (feat. Hiraes)
Nadir
Musically, Monumental blends technical metal riffs, industrial textures, atmospheric interludes, grandiose choruses, and melodic passages to mirror “nostalgic rides,” where darkness, reflection, and awe collide. Visually and conceptually, IGNEA drew inspiration from retrofuturism, modernist and monumental architecture, and industrial design, creating a world where sound, imagery, and memory converge. The album stands as an ode to the past, a meditation on lost and unrealized futures, and a celebration of the enduring beauty hidden within forgotten places. The opening track, “Darkness,” sets the emotional tone, capturing the nostalgic escapes we all drift into when the present feels overwhelming and the past seems gentler than it truly was. The song moves between eerie, melancholic verses and uplifting, grandiose choruses, culminating in a cathartic moment featuring a live choir and blast beats. Bursting with energy from the outset, “Dreams of Lands Unseen” explores the era of Cold War space exploration—a time when humanity projected its greatest hopes onto the cosmos. March-like choruses echo the propaganda-fueled optimism of the age, while shimmering keyboards and theremin solos channel a distinct 1980s atmosphere. It is followed by “Presence of the Past,”IGNEA’s ode to urban decadence—the bittersweet sensation of living in a city that is constantly changing, decaying, rebuilding, forgetting, and remembering all at once.
“Prefab” emerges as a rave soundtrack for metalheads, a stomping industrial anthem featuring electro-industrial icon Andy LaPlegua of Combichrist, whose unmistakable voice perfectly complements the song’s atmosphere and theme. The album’s second guest appearance comes in “Harmony Manufactured,” where Helle Bohdanova shares vocal duties with German powerhouse Britta Görtz of HIRAES. Fast, technical riffs and robotic growls create a mechanical pulse, while carefully crafted arrangements evoke the precision of engineering and design. Through both sound and lyrics, the track explores how technical perfection can still carry emotion, beauty, and enduring memory. The tempo slows on “What Buildings Dream of,” a metal ballad featuring an uplifting and emotional chorus, while subtle electronic beats add an industrial pulse reflecting the raw texture of monumental architecture. It serves as a tribute to the beauty, fragility, and silent inner life of the buildings that shaped both our landscapes and collective imagination. The album’s most unexpected moment arrives with “I am in Hell,” a short interlude designed like a retro-futuristic TV advertisement from the 1960s. IGNEA then descends once more into the past with “Between No Longer and Not Yet,” a doom metal track infused with dark jazz elements, capturing the state of mind while listening to a vinyl record. Time folding onto itself through sound, memories unlocking with each rotation of the needle—a reflection on the beauty and grief of nostalgia. With “Nadir,”IGNEA closes Monumental through a reflective orchestral outro, leaving listeners with a lingering sense of nostalgia, hope, and quiet melancholy.
