Time To Kill Records is proud to announce the signing of Italian death metallers CHRONIC HATE, who will release their highly anticipated new album, “Defeating The Oblivion Of Life“, through the label.
Born from a band seasoned by over two decades of experience, the album clearly draws inspiration from the classic ‘90s death metal sound, with a nod to bands like Monstrosity and early Sinister, while updating these influences just enough to create a record that goes beyond mere homage. The songs are built around intricate, well-constructed riffs, impressive technical skill without descending into empty showmanship, and a subtle atmospheric layer that occasionally hints at blackened currents.
“Defeating The Oblivion Of Life” inaugurates a significant new chapter for CHRONIC HATE. The album thrusts listeners into the extreme spirals of death metal through a mature fusion of different influences and compositional approaches. Its sound is driven by a solid and devastating production, achieved in the tradition of the genre with 100% acoustic drums and real amplifiers.
Lyrically, the album is an act of rebellion against a world that seeks to condemn our lives to oblivion, submerging us in distractions and waste, reducing us to a dehumanized herd. The songs alternate between crude, direct verses and more intimate, lacerating, and personal passages, delivering undeniable emotional power and authenticity.
Formed in 2001 in Northeast Italy, CHRONIC HATE have built a strong presence in the European metal scene, performing alongside bands such as Obituary, Suffocation, Misery Index, Destruction, Hideous Divinity, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Pungent Stench, Disharmonic Orchestra, Severe Torture, Nero di Marte, Sadist, Impiety, Noctem, Tortharry, Doomas, and many more. They have appeared at festivals including Tolminator Metalfest 2024 (Slovenia), Gothoom Fest 2023 (Slovakia), Morphing Fest 2023 (Czech Republic), Metaldays Fest 2015 (Slovenia), Eresia Metalfest 2019 (Italy), as well as several smaller events across Italy, Poland, Austria, Czech Republic, and Slovenia.

Eihwar release “Heill Óðinn,” the third single from their forthcoming album Hugrheim. A ritualistic homage to Óðinn, the Allfather, the track channels the resurgence of ancient memory and the echo of a forgotten world slowly returning to consciousness.
Rooted in the mythology of Hugrheim, the hidden tenth world of Yggdrasil, “Heill Óðinn” marks a decisive moment in the album’s unfolding narrative. In this realm shaped by the Hugr, the spirit, thoughts take form and memory becomes prophecy. As described in the fictional treatise Hugrheim, the Tenth World of Yggdrasil, this unseen domain stands beyond the nine known worlds, a shifting landscape where soul and fate intertwine.
“Heill Óðinn” captures the moment when memory stirs:
Minni fornra tíða kemr til vár smám saman / Í dag minnumk ek morgundags
“The memory of ancient times is slowly returning to us. Today, we remember tomorrow.”
Driven by pounding ritual drums, trance-inducing chants, and a chorus that resounds like a call from the spear-mountains of Hugrheim, the track pays tribute to the wanderer god who treads between worlds. Eihwar strike with a hybrid force: shamanic percussion collides with industrial undertones and Nordic folk instrumentation, forging an anthem that is both ceremonial and visceral.
The single is accompanied by an official music video, directed by Mark & Asrunn, featuring Benoit Lala as Óðinn. The visual narrative places the Allfather at the heart of Hugrheim’s awakening, summoning forces long dormant as destiny is once again set into motion.
Following the release of Hugrheim, Eihwar will carry the Tenth World across Europe on a headline run presented under the banner Pagan Folk Nights, joined by special guest Mira Ceti. After commanding major festival stages and igniting packed club shows, the duo now bring their ritual drums, trance chants and industrial folk pulse into an extended continental campaign.

Get ready for the wild electro Nordic folk of EIHWAR! These “Enfants Terribles” aren’t here for solemn atmospheres—their fierce and festive fantasy is made for raging Viking dancefloors. Backed by Season of Mist (home to Heilung and Danheim), Eihwar burst onto YouTube in 2023 and hasn’t slowed down since. With millions of views and festival appearances at Hellfest, Wacken Open Air, and Midgardsblot at the Midgard Viking Center in Norway, they bring a new wave of pagan power shaking across Europe.
This second album from Eihwar describes the world from which these two pagan superheroes originate. It is “Hugrheim,” the 10th hidden world of Yggdrasil in Eihwar’s fantasy mythology. The two musicians explain:
“Over the past few years, our souls have gradually taken over the bodies of two human musicians. Through incarnation, we lost much of our memories. All that remains are images, emotions, and fragments from our previous existence, mixed in with the thoughts and memories of our human hosts. In this new song, we evoke the memories that gradually come back to us: memories of Hugrheim, the tenth world of Yggdrasil, hidden and unknown to men. This world is shaped by the Hugr, the spirit. In this realm dwell the invisible forces of the soul and consciousness. When our vessels perish here and our incarnation ends, we will return to Hugrheim. Still, we hope to remain here as long as possible this time, because nowadays the beer is fucking good, the rockstar life is pretty damn cool, and dental anesthesia actually exists.” — Mark & Asrunn

Available from today, February 27th on all digital platforms, THE VALLEY’s new single “Like I Never Lived (Without You)” is released via Volcano Records & Promotion and produced in Los Angeles by Fabrizio Grossi (Alice Cooper, Steve Vai, Slash).
With this new track, the Ligurian alt-prog band takes a significant step forward, expanding its artistic path into an international dimension while preserving its distinctive sonic identity. “Like I Never Lived (Without You)” is an intense and straightforward song, built on constantly evolving emotional dynamics, where enveloping guitars and atmospheric tension merge with a deeply expressive vocal performance. The song explores themes of absence and emotional dependency, transforming loss into awareness.
The band’s alternative soul intertwines with progressive influences in a mature balance that recalls acts such as Incubus, Alice In Chains, and Faith No More, without ever losing its own personality. The production plays a crucial role in the project: Fabrizio Grossi coordinated the work from Los Angeles, bringing an international vision to the band’s sound. The mastering was handled by legendary American sound engineer Pete Doell (Miles Davis, Toto, Marilyn Manson), while all recordings were entirely carried out by The Valley in their own studio in Liguria, confirming an independent yet ambitious artistic journey.
“Like I Never Lived (Without You)” is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and all major streaming platforms. The official music video is now streaming on Volcano Records’ YouTube channel:
THORIUM present their crushing new single and video “MG42”, the first release from their upcoming album “Suburban Rot”, out Summer 2026 via Emanzipation Productions. The track delivers a relentless, bullet-fast assault of extreme death metal, setting the tone for what promises to be one of the band’s most uncompromising releases to date. Mixed and mastered by renowned producer Tue Madsen (Antfarm Studios), “MG42” captures pure sonic warfare in just a few devastating minutes.
Guitarist and composer JP Storm (ex-Dominus/Volbeat) comments: “It’s about terror and panic. My youngest son told me about the Hitler’s Buzzsaw, which inspired me to write this song. The riffs are a concoction of pure grind, syncopation and unpredictable patterns – with the aim of letting the listener experience the panic and accompanying disorientation that this machine gun’s oppressive and horrifying cadence of fire evokes”.

“The Atrophied” is the latest single from US death metal loyalists MONSTROSITY. The uncompromising track comes off the band’s Screams From Beneath The Surface full-length, set to drop on March 13th on Metal Blade Records.
This vicious release – their first in seven years – showcases the band’s signature blend of aggression, technical precision, and intensity. Led by drummer, founder, and primary songwriter Lee Harrison, MONSTROSITY is reinvigorated with a formidable lineup: long-tenured guitarist Matt Barnes, the triumphant return of original bassist Mark Van Erp, and vocalist Ed Webb (ex-Massacre), whose guttural, visceral delivery injects electrifying new energy into the band’s sound. Screams From Beneath The Surface not only solidifies MONSTROSITY‘s hallmark death metal ferocity but also pushes the genre’s boundaries, forging a path that is both innovative and true to their roots.
The second single from Screams From Beneath The Surface, “The Atrophied,” is the first track written for the album, delivering an intense extreme metal voyage.
Elaborates Harrison, “‘The Atrophied’ contains all the hallmarks of a classic MONSTROSITY song. From the opening drum rolls and Mark Van Erp’s spiraling bass intro, it surges forward with ferocious blasting energy, then weaves through a dynamic landscape of devastating riffs and intricate rhythmic shifts. This was an important song for us to get right, and I feel the guys really pulled through with this one. Our new vocalist Ed Webb commands the storm, shifting seamlessly from guttural depths to razor sharp highs and lending the performance a gripping, almost cinematic intensity. Matt Barnes unleashes chaotic and spiraling melodic runs that echo the band’s most iconic moments, with additional crushing guitar work by Justin Walker. I aimed to craft the lyrics as a haunting narrative of decay and collapse, perfectly framed by the forceful and punishing production from Audiohammer and Morrisound Studios. ‘The Atrophied’ delivers MONSTROSITY at our most direct and ferocious!“
Adds Barnes, “‘The Atrophied’ came together through our usual working method, but it delivered an unexpected result in the end. Lee brought the song to the table in a stripped down, skeletal form. We spent a lot of time sending demos back and forth, adding transitions, tweaking riffs, changing a few notes… the usual. But something happened along the way. Once we finished writing it and everyone had their parts locked in, when we finally played it all together, it felt more like an epic saga than just another death metal song. ‘The Atrophied’ may be the most musically and emotionally complex song MONSTROSITY has ever recorded. Don’t get me wrong, we’ve had songs that were more complex in terms of pure technical nuts and bolts, real fretboard acrobatics, but those tracks are usually locked into one mood, one color. ‘The Atrophied’ for me, carries the feel of a 15-minute Rush or Iron Maiden epic, yet it’s tightly condensed, unpretentious, and, as always, unabashedly death metal.”

Screams From Beneath The Surface was crafted with meticulous attention to detail, reflecting Harrison’s monstrous vision and the band’s seamless chemistry. The recording process spanned multiple studios to achieve sonic perfection. Drums, bass, and mixing were handled at Audiohammer Studios under the expert guidance of producer Jason Suecof (The Black Dahlia Murder, Deicide, Job For A Cowboy), while vocals, guitars, and mastering took place at the legendary Morrisound Studios, where MONSTROSITY reunited with revered producer Jim Morris (Iced Earth, Warrant, Savatage), alongside Mark Prator and BJ Ramone. This combination of cutting-edge and classic production techniques ensures a punishing sound that is honoring the band’s storied history while embracing modern death metal’s evolution. The album’s striking cover art, created by artist Timbul Cahyono, is a wholly organic creation, free from AI or computer-generated renderings, embodying the raw, authentic spirit of MONSTROSITY‘s music. With Screams From Beneath The Surface, the band not only upholds the brutal tradition established by their previous works but also charts bold new territory, delivering a release that is as innovative as it is devastating.
