Metalcore outfit Vicious Rain have released their new single ‘Spitting Blood Again’, out now via Arising Empire. Following the success of their debut album There Is Beauty In Letting Go, Vicious Rain are opening a new chapter and deliver a powerful statement with ‘Spitting Blood Again’.
The track is a searing blend of crushing screams, soaring cleans, and emotionally loaded hooks. This dark, cathartic anthem dives deep into themes of betrayal, pain, and self-reclamation, turning rage into power and shame into a blood-soaked rebirth.

Rising metalcore force Avralize release their powerful new single ‘medicine’ on 8th August. The band will also announce their new album ‘liminal’, due for release on 14th November via Arising Empire.
Combining dreamy vocals, raw shouts, massive hooks, and crushing riffs, ‘medicine’ channels the hypnotic intensity fans crave. Lyrically, it dives into the blur between love and emotional addiction, when one person becomes the only escape from inner chaos.
Catch Avralize live on their first big European headline tour this November.
Blending ferocious screams, haunting clean vocals, and razor-sharp instrumentation, the track surges with unrelenting energy and emotion. Lyrically, ‘EVERMORE’ is a powerful, existential journey confronting death not with fear, but with a strange, haunting sense of beauty and peace. This is AVIANA at their most intense and introspective.

With ‘Dancing Shadow,’ Finnish metal icons AMORPHIS are proud to present the final audiovisual appetiser of their new studio album “Borderland” (September 26, 2025 via Reigning Phoenix Music) before their stage comeback in just a few weeks. The song follows two superbly embraced singles, and is yet another hit out of the group’s sound forge as it’s blessed with all ingredients to get at least equally well-received by the worldwide music community.
Thoughtful verses remind of the uncertain times in everyone’s lives to make fans escape from this dejecting state of mind into the suffusing light of the moon which shines through the darkest of all woods. But to contrast the song’s depth, AMORPHIS successfully crossed the genre ‘borderland’ resulting in an irresistible track full of twisting moments. ‘Dancing Shadow’ finally closes on its peak – before you just have to play it from the beginning over and over again.
“The working title for ‘Dancing Shadow’ was ‘Disco Tiger.’ Musically it represents catchiness and hooks that have been familiar elements within our music for a long time. Sound-wise it came out pretty fresh and even modern. I bet this song will shake your legs on the dance floor – in a METAL disco, of course,” states guitarist Esa Holopainen.
Drummer Jan Rechberger adds: “With ‘Dancing Shadow,’ we stepped into completely new territory. For a band with over three decades behind us, that kind of reinvention feels meaningful.”
Like its predecessor ‘Bones,’AMORPHIS’ latest single has also been visualised under the aegis of Patric Ullaeus, and takes fans of the band into a black-and-white dominated setting, highlighting the piece’s core message in a captivating way.
Hansen Studios (Jacob Hansen, Denmark; VOLBEAT, AMARANTHE, PRIMAL FEAR etc.) were the destination of choice in late 2024 and early 2025 to track “Borderland.” The album artwork was designed by Dutch artist Marald Van Haasteren (METALLICA, BLACK SABBATH, KVELERTAK, ALCEST etc.) while long-time partner Pekka Kainulainen once again wrote the album’s meaningful lyrics.

With “Borderland,” the title of the album couldn’t have been chosen more fittingly. Throughout their career, spanning over more than three decades, AMORPHIS — Tomi Joutsen (vocals), Esa Holopainen (guitars), Tomi Koivusaari (guitars), Olli-Pekka Laine (bass), Santeri Kallio (keyboards) & Jan Rechberger (drums & percussion) — have been an ever-evolving act, wandering on an exciting boundary-pushing path. From their sinister death metal debut “Karelian Isthmus” over genre-defining mid-90s melodic death works like “Tales From The Thousand Lakes” and “Elegy” as well as the melodic 2000’s grandeur of “Eclipse” or “Skyforger” to records combining the very best of all prior eras to refreshing new soundscapes (f.e. “Under The Red Cloud” or “Queen Of Time”): Whatever this group works on promises long-range success.
With 2022’s “Halo,” the Finn’s were rewarded for their researching musical approach once again: The album marked AMORPHIS’ sixth no. 1 album in Finland, even cracked the top 3 of the official German album chart, and last but not least the sextet took home two awards from the prestigious Emma Gaala (“Band of the Year” & “Export of the Year”).
The impact of “Halo” became a driving force for what’s to come. Rather than rushing into a follow-up, the band chose to step back from live performances and focus fully on their next chapter. The result is “Borderland” – a meticulously crafted opus that builds on their celebrated recent era, while seamlessly weaving in new, timely elements. It’s a bold, organic continuation of their journey, shaped by experience and guided by vision.

Epictronic Records is thrilled to welcome Italian genre-bending rock metal act epoimóriròmiope to its roster for their haunting new album, ricordi di un tempo mai esistito, due for release on 10 October 2025.
Emerging from Bologna’s underground in 2021, epoimóriròmiope has been forging a unique sonic identity by merging the visceral impact of Metalcore with the immersive textures of EDM, Alternative Rock, and Industrial. What began as a one-man studio project has evolved into a fully formed band with a bold new sound and vision.
Following the underground acclaim of earlier self-released works Vincoli and kabukimono, the band made a decisive move to withdraw their previous catalogue from streaming platforms, signaling a rebirth with a new lineup and a darker, more refined artistic direction. Now, with Epictronic behind them, they are ready to unveil their most ambitious work to date.
ricordi di un tempo mai esistito (“memories of a time that never existed”) is an emotionally charged concept album that dives deep into themes of loss, abandonment, rage, anxiety, and the fleeting nature of existence. Written during a period of intense personal turmoil, the album is both catharsis and confession — a raw sonic diary built on distorted memories and unspoken grief.
Fusing jagged guitar riffs, aggressive synths, glitched textures, and cinematic soundscapes, the record draws inspiration from Nine Inch Nails, Deftones, Bring Me The Horizon, Massive Attack, and echoes of darkwave, IDM, and cyberpunk. It’s a record that doesn’t seek to soothe but to confront — a sonic mirror held up to the most shadowed corners of the human psyche.
This release marks the beginning of a new chapter for epoimóriròmiope, one rooted in emotional truth and unrelenting sonic exploration.
1. vertigine 2. istante 3. cenere 4. eclissi 5. spettro (quello che resta) 6. coma 7. anemoia

5X Platinum-certified alternative rock mainstaysTHE RED JUMPSUIT APPARATUS today (August 8) have released “X’s For Eyes,” the second single from their forthcoming album X’s For Eyes out October 3 via Better Noise Music. The guitars hit hard, the melody soars, and the rhythm jumps fast in this riveting song that extends a helping hand to someone who’s living close to the edge. With his signature wide-ranging voice, lead vocalist, guitarist, and founding member Ronnie Winter digs in deep with lyrics like:
“Do you want to be right, or do you want to be happy?/Cause I’m scared you’re gonna die/Take control of your life/Wake up from this bad dream/You could end it all tonight.”
X’s For Eyes is the first full-length album from THE RED JUMPSUIT APPARATUS—vocalist Ronnie Winter, his multi-instrumentalist brother Randy Winter, guitarist Josh Burke, bassist Joey Westwood, drummer John Espy, keyboardist Nadeem Salam, and newest member K Enagonio on vocals—as part of a new partnership with Better Noise Music.
To write the title track, Winter reteamed with producer and songwriter Matt Squire (Panic! at the Disco, Metallica, Good Charlotte), who first worked with the band on “Slipping Through (No Kings)” that came out June 27. The urgent and impassioned rallying cry—written by Winter and Squire—compellingly looks at the societal chaos gripping America right now. Listen to “Slipping Through (No Kings)”HERE and watch the starkly animated video, set in the last days of an authoritarian society,HERE.
“What’s really exciting is that we basically rebuilt the same team for X’s for Eyes that we had when we made DON’T YOU FAKE IT,” says Winter. “A lot of the people who were behind the scenes back then–working on things like mixing, track sequencing, and artwork–have come back together, nearly 20 years later, to be part of this new album. It feels like a reunion in the best possible way, and if you were a fan of DON’T YOU FAKE IT we think you’re going to really love this album.”
“ X’s for Eyes truly has something for everyone,” he adds, “including what came to be known as ‘The Lost Songs,’ songs from our original 2004 pre-signing demo that didn’t make it onto DON’T YOU FAKE IT. Fans have been asking for these for over 20 years and with the new album, they’re being commercially released for the first time ever. It felt like we were digging up something long buried, like raising a zombie from the dead.”
The video for “Slipping Through (No Kings),” directed by Steve Tramposch and Jamie Lewis, first introduced the concept of “X’s For Eyes.” In the clip, there is destruction everywhere in a world devoid of color. The main characters—“X boy” and “X girl”—watch as their friends and loved ones are snatched off the streets by masked men in menacing dark cars. The characters have X’s for eyes symbolizing their disillusionment, while others also have X’s for mouths, symbolizing that they’ve been quieted and have lost their voice. “X boy” and “X girl” are left to navigate the rubble and fend for themselves. An Alliance flag, the symbol of their rebellion (and the band’s fan community) is planted in the rubble at the end and the video turns from black and white to full color. The eyes of “X boy” and “X girl” return to full circles to emphasize their awakening and solidarity. These are the youth of the world planting their flag with open eyes after there’s nothing left.
“Slipping Through (No Kings)” marked the third new music offering from THE RED JUMPSUIT APPARATUS since their EMERGENCY EP in 2020. They previously released “Home Improvement” (which has logged over 363k YouTube views) at the time of last October’s announcement of their signing to premiere independent music label Better Noise Music.
Formed in 2004 in Jacksonville, FL, the band has accrued Gold and multi-Platinum singles—including their massive 5x Platinum hit single “Face Down,” 2x Platinum “Your Guardian Angel”—and 2x Platinum-certified debut album, DON’T YOU FAKE IT, alongside numerous high-ranking radio chart positions and a robust digital history of over 1.5 billion career streams. Sometimes it’s hard to believe that THE RED JUMPSUIT APPARATUS began their expedition into the hearts and minds of a generation 20 years ago. Their blazing 2006 single “Face Down” delivered both anthemic choruses and a strident message about domestic abuse, achieving both sales accolades and adoration from crowds all over the planet.
“It’s kind of surreal — I’ve been in a band professionally for 20 years now,” explains Ronnie Winter, “and all that time I wanted to work with Matt Squire but never got the chance. Back in 2005, when we were just starting to record our first album, he was already a major force in the emo scene. So to be collaborating with him now, all these years later, feels like coming full circle. I’m just really grateful we get to explore something new with him this far into our career, especially something I dreamed of doing from the very start.”
Here are current tour dates for THE RED JUMPSUIT APPARATUS, which recently included an appearance stop as part of the Warped Tour stop in Long Beach, CA on July 27. Tickets are available on theirofficial website.
