Italian outfit MALOTA has officially announced their brand new album, “Scapegoat”, set to be released on October 10 via Go Down Records. In anticipation of the release, the band has also shared a first album teaser, which you can watch below. 

“Scapegoat” marks MALOTA’s sophomore studio album, with its title evoking the imagery of a sacrificial lamb. This concept symbolizes the degradation permeating our world, the anguish born from hatred and fanaticism, and the profound fear of isolation. In this new chapter, the band takes a distinct sonic turn. Rhythms are described as slowing to a menacing crawl, melodies become darker and more foreboding, and the vocals carve out a raw, visceral space filled with screams and despair. The rock influences prominent in their earlier work are set aside in favor of a metallic, gritty, and monolithic sound, characterized by tension and an unyielding, uncompromising edge.

The album’s striking cover features a woman locking eyes with the viewer, her silent gaze heavy with judgment. She embodies all those who have suffered – and continue to suffer – at the hands of ignorance, cruelty, and a toxic culture shaped by a male-dominated world. With “Scapegoat”, MALOTA delves deep into the intricacies of human relationships and the pervasive anxiety of facing an uncertain future. The album reflects on the violence of conflicts, both past and present, channeling a profound sense of unease and disillusionment with contemporary society.

Wanikiya Record/Promotion is proud to announce the release of the new single by MACH, entitled “Rivalsa”, available on all digital platforms starting today, July 29th, 2025. A track full of energy and meaning, it marks a new milestone in the band’s artistic journey and confirms their expressive strength in the Italian alternative rock scene.

MACH officially joined the Wanikiya Record/Promotion roster with an intense, contemporary, and authentic project, able to merge sonic power and emotional depth.

The band was formed in 2024 through the collaboration between singer-songwriter Marco Del Papa and guitarist/producer Alessandro Mammola (well known for his work with Draconicon and Alterium). They were soon joined by bassist Gabriele Paolucci and drummer Riccardo Paparozzi, forming a tight and cohesive lineup.

MACH’s sound is a captivating blend of alternative rock, metal, and post-grunge, enriched by melodic and songwriter-driven influences. Their lyrics delve into themes such as alienation, inner struggle, self-discovery, and—most notably—revenge (“rivalsa”). This new track perfectly embodies the spirit of the band: direct, powerful, and visceral.

Following their first two singles, “Perdersi” (title track accompanied by an intense lyric video) and “Indifferente”, the band continues to carve out a strong, coherent, and personal sound—gaining increasing recognition from both fans and industry professionals.

After releasing their emotionally powerful single “Light Can Only Shine In The Darkness” last week, LORD OF THE LOST and WITHIN TEMPTATION now follow up with the official music video today. “Light Can Only Shine In The Darkness” is the current single from LORD OF THE LOST’s upcoming studio album OPVS NOIR Vol. 1, set for release on August 8, 2025 via Napalm Records.
 
Together, LORD OF THE LOST and WITHIN TEMPTATION have created a song that unites the complementary voices of Sharon den Adel and Chris Harms in perfect symbiosis. The track impressively expands the rich diversity of LORD OF THE LOST’s ever-growing sonic landscape — a testament to their ability to continuously discover new shades within their darkly colorful spectrum, to embrace new perspectives, and to remain true to their roots.

“Shortly after playing the final show of IRON MAIDEN’s 2022 tour together with WITHIN TEMPTATION, the idea for ‘Light Can Only Shine In The Darkness’ was born – an attempt to create a hybrid song between WITHIN TEMPTATION and LORD OF THE LOST, and ultimately a duet for Sharon and me. The fact that it actually came to life is a dream come true, because a duet with Sharon has been – no, had been – at the top of my bucket list for over a decade!”

ODC Announce New Album “Twisted Love”, Out October 31st

Alternative metal band ODC are thrilled to announce that their new album “Twisted Love” will be released on October 31, 2025, via BLKIIBLK. 

The French rockers have already captivated audiences with the singles, “Love, I Tore It Apart”, and “My Only Fan (feat. SUN)” and are now pleased to unveil the new track “My Name Is Gold”, that fuses 2000s nu metal roots with metalcore breakdowns, infectious pop hooks, and raw rap attitude to deliver a bold, modern sound – creating ODC’s vision of nu metal. The official video will premiere on YouTube tonight at 21.00 CEST/3pm ET.

Commenting on the new single, the band stated: “This song is a provocative satire of greed and fame obsession. We wanted to expose a world where human value only shines when it’s coated in gold. Commenting on the album, the band stated: “With “Twisted Love”, we wanted to show that metal can be both powerful and elegant – emotional, modern, and unafraid to break the rules. ODC is the soundtrack of a hybrid generation. A sonic uppercut, balancing raw power and elegance. 

Born in Paris in 2017, ODC is the result of two worlds coming together: the world of Celia Do, a vocalist with a striking identity, and that of a composer driven by the same fire – the desire to create an alternative metal project that breaks free from conventions: bold, modern, and uncompromising. From this spark, a true sonic and visual odyssey emerged.

ODC – named after Celia’s stage name acronym – became a totally creative space, where heavy riffs, catchy melodies, and contemporary electronic textures collide in a unique blend of raw energy and polished aesthetic. ODC is a bold blend of metal, modern rock and immersive electronic atmospheres. 

Inspired by artists such as Devin Townsend, Breaking Benjamin, Linkin Park and BMTH, ODC doesn’t fit in any box. The band asserts its own voice — powerful, hybrid, sharp and emotional.
Their songs are modern mantras, telling stories of freedom, downfall, and resilience. Music that hits hard — and hits deep. A constant dialogue between introspection and explosion. 

The band is built around four distinct artistic personalities: Celia Do (lead singer, founder and producer, the rock frontwoman of the band), Sonny, a.k.a. MX MNK (a bassist with roots in hardcore and black metal, and a rapper with visceral energy). Then, Raphaël (an 8-string guitarist blending classic rock, hard rock, and atmospheric textures), and Hector (a drummer forged in the death metal scene, delivering explosive rhythmic power). 

After a well-received debut EP in 2019 (“Ending The Boredom”), ODC carved their path through a series of powerful singles between 2020 and 2023, asserting their hybrid identity and ability to break genre boundaries. In 2024, the project took a major leap forward: writing their first full-length album, produced in Nashville by Kellen McGregor (Memphis May Fire).
