On 29th July, founding member of Black Sabbath, Tony Iommi announced his brand-new studio album, From The Dark and premiered the first single from it, ‘World Alone’ to critical and fan acclaim. Racking up 2.5 million streams and heavy global radio playlisting since its release, ‘World Alone’ is a thunderous rock song that speeds along on a barrage of flying guitar riffs and solos, backed by a driving rhythm section and topped off with the powerful rock operatics of acclaimed Norwegian vocalist Jorn Lande. This limited edition 7” single edition of ‘World Alone’ is out today and has an exclusive instrumental version on the B-side and is packaged in a deluxe, foiled sleeve.
The video for ‘World Alone’ is based around a retrofuture, dystopian universe where the lead protagonist, The Believer, is pitched into a twisted video game to save his life and ultimately find salvation.
Earlier this week Tony released a behind the scenes film, pulling back the curtain on how this extraordinary video was made.
WATCH BEHIND THE SCENES OF ‘WORLD ALONE’:

Co-produced by Tony and Mike Exeter, his long-time creative partner, co-writer, producer and audio engineer, the sound is crystalline, vibrant and enormous, engulfing the listener in a state-of-the-art sonic experience that is as contemporary as it is timeless.

Finnish rap artist Kullervo surprises with his new single “Woah”. With the track, Kullervo takes a leap from more traditional rap straight into modern hip-hop, creating a magical sonic landscape where the rapping itself also blends seamlessly into an essential part of the track’s overall sound. An exotic touch is added by Kullervo rapping in Finnish.
With this track, Kullervo’s sights are firmly set on the future. “Woah” shows where his music is heading next.
“Woah” is also being released as a music video, creating a visual world of its own around the track. Directed by Väinö Parjanen, the ambitious video adds a new dimension to the song.
Kullervo’s artistic identity draws strongly from the traditions and culture of Ostrobothnia, a region in western Finland. This regional heritage has played an important role in shaping his music, attitude and lyrics. On “Woah”, however, Kullervo puts those traditions aside and focuses firmly on the present and the future, embracing a more modern and forward-looking sound.
The new single takes Kullervo another step closer to his debut album, currently in the works. There is already plenty of material for the album: he has released 11 singles as well as one EP.
BETTER NOISE MUSIC is pleased to welcome the ever-enigmatic DEATH VALLEY DREAMS to the label’s roster. The band serves up a cocktail of brooding rock, atmospheric vibes, neo-new wave synths, and gloomy guitars. Indeed, Death Valley Dreams are a master class in gloriously melancholic music — they provide the soundtrack for nyctophiles.
Siphoning influence from ’80s pioneers The Cure, Depeche Mode, Bauhaus, and Echo & The Bunnymen, as well as early ’00s torchbearers The Killers, and Interpol while appealing to fans of newer acts like Nation of Language and Boy Harsher, Death Valley Dreams are magnets for those who prefer the darker side of life.
Lexie Viklund, Director of A&R, says, “Death Valley Dreams brings an exciting new dimension to the Better Noise roster. With a group of seasoned professionals coming together to pursue their shared passion for music, the possibilities are truly endless. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome them to the Better Noise family.”
Alongside the signing news, the band has shared its cover of Chris Isaak’s elegiac “Wicked Game.” They’ve added their own slow-burning spin to this haunting classic.
The cover is an inspired choice for Death Valley Dreams, whose own music thrives in the same space between darkness, desire, melancholy, and tension. Shimmering guitars, pulsing textures, and an intoxicating sense of suspense amplify the song’s underlying ache, turning a familiar classic into something seductive, modern, and unmistakably their own.
There’s an undeniable nocturnal quality to Death Valley Dreams’ rendition: Unsettling yet beautiful, like stumbling into a tantalizing late-night scene from a Quentin Tarantino film where you know something dangerous is about to happen. The song feels drenched in neon, shadows, desire, and mystery, capturing the magnetic pull of the original while heightening its cinematic allure. Rather than simply recreating “Wicked Game,” DEATH VALLEY DREAMS tap into what made the song so enduring and reimagines it through their own dark-alternative lens.
“It’s one of those songs that’s just hauntingly beautiful and dark,” offers the band’s singer and keyboardist. “I’ve always gravitated toward that kind of mood, and ‘Wicked Game’ has always been one of those songs that stuck with me. It fits the world we’ve built as a band so naturally that it just made sense to take our own approach to it.”
Fans of rock new and old can catch on the road this fall with The Rasmus and Saint Agnes. These September dates offer the perfect chance to experience DEATH VALLEY DREAMS in their element — after dark, surrounded by a room full of people discovering a band that feels destined for much bigger stages. Finnish one-man metal band Rare Elements presents its new single “All Is Consumed,” a cinematic blend of progressive metal, alternative metal, groove metal and death metal. Built around the power of modern guitar-driven metal, the song balances crushing riffs with spacious atmospheric passages, creating a dynamic listening experience where heaviness and silence continuously interact.
“All Is Consumed” is built on powerful contrasts. Crushing groove-oriented riffs, layered guitars and spacious atmospheres create a cinematic soundscape before the tension is released through a minimalist, almost mantra-like chorus.
The composition began with a single guitar riff that gradually evolved into the finished arrangement. Rather than relying on constant intensity, the song embraces dynamics, allowing moments of space and restraint to enhance its heavier sections.
Lyrically, “All Is Consumed” explores existential themes through abstract imagery and open interpretation. Instead of telling a linear story, the lyrics invite listeners to discover their own meaning within themes of emptiness, collapse and transformation.
Entirely self-produced by Rare Elements, the track combines layered guitars, synthesizers and modern production while maintaining a strong sense of groove throughout.
“All Is Consumed” was recorded at RE Studio in May 2026 and mixed and mastered in June 2026.
Celebrating 30 uninterrupted years of activity, Brazilian death metal troop NervoChaos is set to release their fourteenth album, Chaosmongers, via Black Lion Records on 13 November 2026 on CD and vinyl as well as digitally, while Tumba Records licenses the CD and vinyl editions for Brazil.
Drawing on chaos as its central creative force, the album contains twelve tracks, eleven of which are new, alongside “Porcos Sanguinários,” a tribute to the legendary Brazilian band Ratos de Porão. Chaosmongers is a work that connects the cosmos, the occult, and human resilience, and is open to various interpretations, rejecting linear narratives and allowing listeners to create their own reading. At its core, an entity traverses death, explores unknown realms, faces suffering, and becomes sovereign of a kingdom beyond our understanding. This narrative reflects a personal journey through downfall, self-discovery, transformation, and empowerment. This duality is present throughout the album. The compositions act as narrative, atmosphere, and reflection, providing diverse experiences within a single work. Chaos appears not only as destruction but as a force capable of breaking boundaries and creating new realities.
The first single, “Embrace Chaos,” offers a glimpse into the album’s central concept and is now available on all major streaming platforms.
Watch the lyric video for “Embrace Chaos” below, and stream/download the track HERE.
The album was produced by Edu Lane, recorded in São Paulo, Brazil, by Adriano Daga, and mixed and mastered by Fredrik Nordström. The visual identity for Chaosmongers, created by Niklas Sundin, combines imagery of the vast universe and cosmic explosions with the energy of the audience at the band’s shows. The central idea is that the chaotic force that moves galaxies and changes worlds also manifests in the human experience through creation, overcoming adversity, and collective expression.

NervoChaos will join Bloodbath for their SICKENING LATIN AMERICA tour, kicking off tomorrow, 6 September. 09/06: Bogotá, Colombia — Lourdes Music Hall [Tickets] 09/08: São Paulo, Brazil — Carioca Club [Tickets] 09/09: Buenos Aires, Argentina — Uniclub [Tickets] 09/10: Santiago, Chile — Blondie Club [Tickets]
Founded in spring 1996, NervoChaos is led by Edu Lane, who, driven by a desire to form an extreme metal band that combined heaviness and technicality without being tied to pre-established musical labels, recruited friends to join him. One month later, the band released its first demo on cassette. Over the past three decades, NervoChaos has amassed 24 releases across various formats and toured extensively throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania, sharing stages with important names in the global metal scene. This relentless frequency of releases and tours has helped establish a robust global fan base.
The fourteenth album, Chaosmongers, showcases the band’s evolution, blending a strong old-school traditional vibe without sounding dated or like a retro project. Abundant riffs and thrash metal influences combine with the brutality of death metal, while the riffs remain varied and focused, without unnecessary embellishments, serving the music first and foremost. The album also explores universal themes that transcend cultural, spiritual, and existential boundaries. As the band explains: “It’s more than just an album; it’s an invitation to see chaos as the beginning of transformation.”
